We are noth...6:25 De Blasio probably saved himself. We are nothing more than pawns in their real estate games. They want us out.

Bloomberg, Cuomo, Schneiderman, Kane, Schumer, Bratton-Kelly want the tenants out of here for REBNY plans for the land but none of them want the public relations nightmare that it happened on their watch. Kathryn Wilde said as much in the press.

De Blasio would have been a fall guy for Bloomberg, Cuomo, Schneiderman, Kane, Bratton if CW Tishman Speyer Brookfield went forward with their development plans. They do not care about us because we are not wealthy and because we are not wealthy we are in their way.

Politicians care about their public relations images and money as Keith Wright showed us all when he pulled the plug on the CW lawsuit. Kathryn Wilde said Stuyvesant Town is public relations nightmare because those who are in office during the destruction of the community have that on their record. The Tenant Association was supposed to keep us quiet while they push Berlin Rosen's Politically supported REBNY agenda to evict 85% of the residents and it would have fallen on De Blasio's watch. He was saving his own political image and this time saving our homes in the process, accidentally.

Schneiderman, Schumer Cuomo are all about the "show". The show and tell to the people while they do the opposite in behind closed doors deals. Cuomo's State of the State show was all about "his" big development plans to make him look good as if he is doing it for the people but he has no way to back it up financially and the press called him out on who really benefits from his development plans and it is not New York taxpayers.

The incumbents are all show no substance. There has not been one positive result for the Middle Class by any of the incumbents. Not one. Everything incumbents do is to benefit the wealthiest New Yorkers businesses and the images of the politicians.

The fate of constituents are in the hands of their political image. Whatever is good for their image they do. Thus making sure the community does not technically get wiped out on their watch.

And thus Gale Brewer's meaningless small business law and Dan Garodnick's meaningless "inspection" laws which by the by, the way landlords here use the inspections violates our constitutional rights but Dan Garodnick is pushing the REBNY agenda so instead of stopping the illegal searches he says he is passing laws to give tenants more of a heads-up on illegal searches.

REBNY is wrong when they claim the small business act violates their constitutional rights but Dan Garodnick uses that excuse to push their agenda and not the laws to protect the constitutional rights of tenants and small businesses. It is "our" constitutional rights that are being violated by landlords, REBNY and politicians so REBNY flips that to make it look like it is their constitutional rights being violated to displace that they are violating ours and the Dan Garodnicks are all too happy to try to trick the public with REBNY's claim of their constitutional rights. But he got called out on that too.

Garodnick is wrong for PCVST, wrong for political office, and right for working in a place like Paul Weiss Rifkind. He is perfectly suited for their agenda and ethics and the old way of New York politics before Preet Bharara. Even Preet stopped short probably for political reasons. Too bad, a lot of good could have been done if Preet cleaned City Council like he started to clean the Senate and Assembly.

Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1837176580996082182.post-84544010866184220302016-02-03T13:04:04.659-05:002016-02-03T13:04:04.659-05:00Those were the days my friend

What was Clinton/Schumer's role in Glen/DeBlasio PCVST deal?

Hillary and "one of the country’s biggest shadow bank" Blackstone / As a one of the biggest players in both shadow banking and private-equity investments, Blackstone has a significant interest in the outcome of the presidential election.

Payback? Groveling in Iowa?

"Hillary Clinton is traveling the country, promising to get tough on corporate wrongdoers and “shadow banks.” But as she promises to crack down on investment firms that offer banking services outside the purview of traditional financial regulations, her presidential campaign is vacuuming in cash from executives at Wall Street firm known as one of the country’s biggest shadow banks — one recently fined by federal regulators for allegedly ripping off its clients.

Last week, president of Blackstone Group, Tony James, hosted fundraiser for Clinton. cash flowed to Clinton campaign just 2 months after private-equity giant settled with SEC over charges it used so-called monitoring fees to enrich the firm at expense of investors.

Clinton accepted money from executives at sanctioned firm as she criticized Obama administration for not punishing perpetrators of financial crime more strenuously.

investors in Blackstone funds harmed by scheme were major public pension systems in California, Florida and NJ, which hold retirement savings of TEACHERS, POLICE OFFICERS, FIREFIGHTERS

In all, municipal and state pension systems have committed at least $9.7 billion worth of investments in three Blackstone funds SEC says were hit, according to research firm Preqin. (A top Blackstone executive said in 2010 public employees enjoyed retirement benefits that are “too generous.”)

Spokespeople for Clinton and Blackstone did not respond to International Business Times questions about its executives’ support for Clinton or SEC case.

Clinton has ties to key players in Blackstone entities targeted by SEC. One specific Blackstone investment funds involved in scheme, SEC documents say, was run by executives James and Laurence Tosi. Just two weeks after SEC settlement, James — a high-profile defender of shadow banking — touted support for Clinton.

Two months later, Clinton continued to portray herself as crusader against corporate crime, James headlined $33,000-a-person fundraiser at his home, according to WSJ. James is expected to host another fundraiser early 2016.

James has been a featured attendee participant at events hosted by Clinton family foundation. Both James and Tosi made maximum contributions to Clinton’s presidential campaign

“The SEC fines seem like less than a slap on the wrist for one of biggest companies in industry that has been gouging pensions,” pension consultant Chris Tobe said.

“BLACKSTONE HAS 20 DIFFERENT WAYS IT SIPHONS FEES FROM INVESTORS — this is just one of them, and regulators barely punished them.” A new study by Oxford University researchers concluded private-equity firms charged $20 billion in hidden fees over past 2 decades.

THEY SIPHON FROM THEIR OWN CLIENTS ALSO TEACHERS POLICE AND FIREFIGHTERS JUST IMAGINE HOW MANY WAYS THEY WILL SIPHON FEES FROM PCVST RENT STABILIZED TENANTS AND DON'T COUNT ON HILLARY'S 100 POLITICIAN LAWMAKER SUPPORTERS TO PROTECT TENANTS RIGHTS IN PCVST!!!

Clinton is not the only 2016 candidate benefiting from Blackstone’s interest in the outcome of financial regulatory policies and enforcement decisions. A super PAC created by former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush received $100,000 from Blackstone’s CEO, Stephen Schwarzman, who is listed as an officer for one of the funds included in the SEC settlement."

http://www.ibtimes.com/political-capital/hillary-clinton-denounces-corporate-crime-while-accepting-cash-blackstone-firmAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1837176580996082182.post-80519972994395694842016-02-02T09:55:37.556-05:002016-02-02T09:55:37.556-05:00Does anyone know if the NYC income rules for rent ...Does anyone know if the NYC income rules for rent stabilization apply to Peter Cooper Village or if the Alicia Glen Jonathon Gray agreement replaces it so we can't get the NYC protections anymore?
