Yet when it came to PCVST having falsified certificates of occupancy Stringer was just fine with that, and fire hazard chopped apartments Stringer was just fine with that even endorsing it in support of his little buddy Garodnick and his big bad boss Cuomo. But now Stringer whines about these things to block people on the streets from having a bed in a shelter. If it really is a concern for Stringer he would fix the paperwork instead of being a hypocritical big whining baby hall monitor pointing the finger to make the Mayor look bad as a precursory to prop himself up for the job of the next Mayor. They are wrapped (in torn wrapping) and have a big black dot on them which is the indication that they are bed bug infested. They've been there since yesterday and the bugs are probably roaming all over the place. I was in the laundry the other night and some neighbors from the building that shares the laundry room with us were putting loads of linens and clothes in the dryers and then putting them in huge plastic bags and sealing them up. Turns out they have bed bugs and they think that three floors of their building are affected. I noticed that this is not listed on the TA bed bug registry, but it is such a performance posting anything on that website and as I am not the one with the plague, I probably shouldn't post somebody's else's address. These are young people who share a converted one-bedroom (a couple and a single roommate) and pay an arm and a leg for that cramped space. They said that management was less than sympathetic about all the costs involved in getting rid of the bugs. Today, I see a mattress and box spring outside my building, loosely wrapped and with big round black spots drawn on the wrapping. I think that means they are infested.

Thank you Compass Rock for allowing short term rentals, revolving roommates and AirBnB to bring us all the disruption, lack of security and bed bugs to what was once a very safe and decent place to live. The gist of this thread, I think, is the explosion of homelessness in NYC, not London, Darfur, Mumbai, or Vienna.
