Our landlord, BLACKSTONE, can't handle Stuy Town and Peter Cooper Village. There is a lack of enforcement of certain "rules," and no amount of notice to this alleviates the problems. We are continually being told half-truths and fabrications. And we have no viable Tenants organization, despite our TA asking for dues all the time. So far, the politicians have proven to be basically useless. A typical New York story.

Forget Ikea NYU Chic -- This is a Stuy Town Apartment!
It's a three-bedroom, but it shows you just what you can do with a Stuy Town apartment. I wonder how James deals with those ugly ceiling beams?
Re: Airbnb ST hotel apartments, I live on 14th and every weekend I see people arriving and leaving with luggage and it is totally obvious from the way they behave and overhearing their conversations (usually on cell phones) that they are "hotel" customers. They're not even subtle or discreet about it! No wonder we are infested with bedbugs.
I'd rather live near this guy than those anti-social, narcististic Ikea shits any time. He has carpets and furniture to absorb the noise and I doubt he drunkenly woohoos his way home at 4 in the morning like the lousy, fucking transients do.
I was going to say ... well just about the same thing that everyone else said. But the first commment and its reference to the Bates Motel sums it up best.

Never thought I'd be saying this but I'd take Ikea over this Bates Motel clutter any day.
ReplyDeleteJames can't see the ceiling beams because they are obliterated by all the clutter!
ReplyDeleteAnd not seeing the beams is a good thing!
ReplyDeleteIt's better than those empty airbnb ST hotel apartments.
ReplyDeleteThe cat he's holding is probably one of hundreds he's hoarding. Someone should call the ASPCA!!!
