Our landlord, BLACKSTONE, can't handle Stuy Town and Peter Cooper Village. There is a lack of enforcement of certain "rules," and no amount of notice to this alleviates the problems. We are continually being told half-truths and fabrications. And we have no viable Tenants organization, despite our TA asking for dues all the time. So far, the politicians have proven to be basically useless. A typical New York story.

Another Rip-Off: Pay As You Go Amenities
Boy, Rose Associates and American Leisure are really trying to suck dry the Amenities concept. You will be glad to know that you can now pay $15 for certain Amenity events if you are not an Amenity member and just have to particulate in the Amenity excitement that's been thrilling Stuyvesant Town/Peter Cooper residents for a couple of years. Want to play poker with your fellow neighbors and eat some chips? Or watch The Fisher King via a bad DVD projection? And you are not a valued member of Oval Amenities--sorry, Oval "Essentials"? (You know, that valued member that now gets a muffin and a cup of coffee instead of brunch on Sundays.) Well, hand over just $15 per event and you can have the time of your life!
I can't wait to see what Rose Associates thinks up next to save money while separating you from your own.
They misspelled "OVALESSENTIALS". Should be "Oval-less-essentials".
ReplyDeleteI hope all the suckers who paid for membership are demanding their money back! What was it P.T. Barnum said .......?
ReplyDeleteThese Oval facilities were illegally built and violate zoning regulations. The entire interior of ST/PCV is zoned residential. Only the perimeters are commercial. Only Oval Fitness is legal.
ReplyDeleteWhen is someone going to have the balls to take action on this issue ?
When is someone going to have the balls to take action on this issue ?
ReplyDeleteMaybe tha Tenants Association and Dan Garodnick will handle that! LOL
There were six, cont em six, dead rats near Oval Kids tonight. They were frozen to the ground. Are they putting down poison?
ReplyDeleteMaybe the rats had sampled the mini treats available nowadays at Oval Lounge's Sunday Spotlight.
ReplyDeleteThat makes sense STR. They were found outside Oval Kids. They must of stopped in for a bite and died from the quality of the food.
ReplyDeleteIf you see dead rats on the property, please contact the Health Department.
ReplyDeleteMy question is why would anyone pay to participate in any of this crap? Never mind the fact that you are getting ripped off but add in the fact that you have a chance to contribute to the demise of the evil empire?!?
ReplyDeleteFugeddabaoutit!!!
I don't know why any concerned resident would frequent any merchant that rents space from the Complex. First and foremost, the "Evil Essentials"....
"If you see dead rats on the property, please contact the Health Department."
ReplyDeleteIt's easier to call the leasing office and get them jobs.
