The Boss of CompassRock (A Blast from the Past)

As long as the bile level has been raised with converse about Bloomberg, we may as well look at another favorite subject.

It seems he already knew that PCVST was on his plate. (The video was uploaded February 8th, 2012. CompassRock took over management of PCVST on September 1, 2012.) And to remind folks, CompassRock is a subsidiary of CW Financial, as is CWCapital. So a lot was in the works behind the scenes with this newly-formed, untested company. The aim for CW: to reduce management costs (by about 33%) and acquire a greater hand in leasing and marketing.  How do you think CompassRock has been handling the job?

BTW, a short while back there was a question on the TA Facebook about Woodward (the boss) being sued by his former company, Laramar. Here is that article, but I wasn't able to find if any resolution developed.

And let's not forget Woodward's admission that he has no solutions for PCVST's quality of life issues:

  1. To say these shysters are totally unqualified to run this property would be the understatement of the century.

  2. This is a very cold winter and these bastards are withholding heat to an unconscionable and illegal degree. This is more harassment on the part of CR and it seems we have no one in our corner to protest this mistreatment. I guess mr Goradnick's apartment is nice and toasty.

  3. What MCI do you see in our future, STR? New heating system? Do you remember when they replaced all the windows back in the early nineties? Well, we are still paying an MCI for those bastards and they don't even work. No matter how tightly I close my windows, they still are so drafty that I can use the window sills as extra refrigerators. These MCIs are just a way of ripping us off royally and I am totally sick of it. There should be a major league investigation into this scam that has being going for too long now.

  9. They will be changing over to separate electric for individual usage. You can ask them, if anyone there answers phone. We'll all be billed for electric usage.

    woohooo.

    You have to pay them.

If so, there is a possibility (based on something that came up a year or so ago on the TA Facebook page), that there'd have to be a slight rent reduction, as electricity has been given free as part of our "contract" with the landlord. Not sure if this is wishful thinking, however. We'll see. But it's obvious that management would love to keep on charging us more and more, whichever way they can.

  13. They would also have to stop charging us for the a/c contract that is almost $30 per unit per month.

  14. NO HEAT in 5 Stuyvesant Oval or 445 East 14th Street. Any others?
May these motherf*ckers rot in hell.
Complained to Maintenance. The person on the other end rudely said, "We're working on it" and then hung up...click!
    Nice, huh?

  15. Yes, you have to pay them. All and everyone on the property has the mcI increases. all must pay.

  16. Why is it that we are having so many problems with the heat this winter? Is it because of their stupid "sensors" that pick up on a unit that is filled with space heaters, people cooking roasts all day or what? There is really no excuse for this. The heat goes off at around 9:30 am and stays off for most of the day. By the time a City Inspector comes round, we have had a couple of puffs of heat which puts the temp up to 68, the legal minimum. They are REALLY playing us!

Sure, they're working on it. It being more and more harassment to push us out.

Why, indeed? Could it be the first step in a future MCI?
