Our landlord, BLACKSTONE, can't handle Stuy Town and Peter Cooper Village. There is a lack of enforcement of certain "rules," and no amount of notice to this alleviates the problems. We are continually being told half-truths and fabrications. And we have no viable Tenants organization, despite our TA asking for dues all the time. So far, the politicians have proven to be basically useless. A typical New York story.

I'm So EXCITED!!!
Property Update from PCVST informs us that the former space at the Oval for Public Safety will be relaunching as... Oval Studio! This "dynamic" space will host such novel activities as....
Yoga
Pilates
Children's Music and Sing-a-Long
Children's Dance
Way to go, CWCapital!
The new Oval Studio should be finished in two months, long before all the Sandy affected buildings in Peter Cooper Village get back to 100%.
No word yet if "Dog Yoga" will be part of the programing, but we hope so!
Other activities soon to hit the dynamic space:
ReplyDeleteDude and Bro Knock-Out Competition
OMG Girl Shriek-Fest
Office Ham Bone Pie Eating Contest
Laundry Scrub-A-Thon In the Oval Fountain
Prizes
More!
They have money for this shit, but can't provide more than bare minimum (or less) heat ? Disgusting fucking jerks. When will they ever be a landlord instead of an exploiter?
ReplyDeleteDoes anyone smell rancid cow meat in 14 Stuy Oval?
ReplyDeleteWith Public Safety in FULL VIEW!
ReplyDeleteNow everyone will be safer and happier.
Will wonders never cease?
For the umpteenth Property Update in a row, not one word about completion date for Sandy repairs!
ReplyDeleteThat is an excellent video, STR! I wish I could get as excited as the Pointer Sisters about the bread and circus exploits of CW. Maybe if I could get warm in my apartment without having to wear a hoodie and wool socks, and maybe if I could wash my and dry my clothes and linens on site in clean and functioning machines, I would be jumping up and down with excitement and singing along with the video.
ReplyDeleteDo the folks at CW know that they are supposed to be a LANDLORD, not an impressario/cruise director/ringmaster?
ReplyDeleteEven better, they have money for this shit, but keep increasing us with mci s which are for non working intercoms and water.???
lmaoooo
I'd rather the property spend the money on the Pointer Sisters! It would be a better allocation of funds.
ReplyDeleteI'm sick of CWCapital rolling out bullshit initiatives that only THEY want and poorly marketing them to us. Try fixing the laundry rooms damaged by Sandy nearly TWO YEARS AGO!!!
Fuck you Andrew MacArthur and your rogues gallery.
I don't see it online, but the front page of this week's T&V features an article with the headline "Heating system in tip top shape, say PCV engineers." This blatant lie isn't seriously challenged, but the article does provide an explanation of how the heating system works.
ReplyDeleteTip top shape and Stuy Town don't belong in the same newspaper let alone the same article. Another Andrew MacArthur failure.
ReplyDeleteThere is already a yoga studio at the gym on 20th. Does anyone even use the gym? Is it making money or losing money.
ReplyDeleteThis sounds like BS.
I thought the apartments were spacious? Why can't people do yoga at home?
ReplyDeleteI remember going to the infamous meeting with Sean Sullivan (when he thought he was going to discuss Shakespeare and the Senior Center!) and he very angrily said that his employees came in every day thinking of ways to make "you people" happy. I guess "management" doesn't realize that they are not running a cruise ship or a retirement center. We don't want entertainment, we want clean buildings, clean grounds, decent laundry facilities and a decent quality of life. If they would just take care of the buildings, grounds and necessary "amenities," like the laundry rooms, carpet enforcement, etc., we would have a decent quality of life and would never bother them again.
ReplyDeleteYeah! What 11:40AM said. Double.
ReplyDeleteWell put 11:40!
ReplyDeleteWe never did get those handrails in the stairwells! ROFL
ReplyDelete"I remember going to the infamous meeting with Sean Sullivan "
ReplyDeleteYes, the SSS (Sean Sullivan Smackdown). I was there as well. I will never forget how treated that senior couple, one in a wheelchair, who had major elevator concerns since they only had one operating elevator. After ALL of us yelled at him, he finally broke down and gave an estimate date for the fix, which was wrong anyway.
WEll, even more important , we want a legal lease, a decent rent and a lease that won't be increased by $600 every year.
ReplyDeleteFuckers.
T&V newspaper this week says the new Security mci paid for 1200 security cameras. Thats 25 cameras per resident of PCVST. Is this mci expense valid and necessary in such a low crime neighborhood?
