Our landlord, BLACKSTONE, can't handle Stuy Town and Peter Cooper Village. There is a lack of enforcement of certain "rules," and no amount of notice to this alleviates the problems. We are continually being told half-truths and fabrications. And we have no viable Tenants organization, despite our TA asking for dues all the time. So far, the politicians have proven to be basically useless. A typical New York story.
Letter in T&V on increasing dog walkers using Stuyvesant Town as a Public Park. This problem is not limited to dog walkers, it is long a problem that has worsened when Mayor DeBlasio began advertising tree-stripped Oval as a Public city Park Event Venue on NYCGo.
Mayor DeBlasio and CompassRock turned this private middle class community into a tourist destination / public park. Mayor DeBlasio stop advertising our Oval as your Public Park Event Space in whatever agreement arrangement you made with CompassRock that also allows a hundred new hotels for NYC tourists. A hundred f***in new hotels for NYC tourism to replace once peaceful middle class residence!
We are private residential property, not public parks, public playgrounds for "guests" that are really trespassers, not commercial operations hotels and event spaces.
Mayor DeBlasio you have made a commercial mess of this once peaceful, clean place to raise our families.
If we can't get you out of Stuyvesant Town, we sure can get you out of office by voting for anyone but you.
STR, so much juicy stuff going on now. DeB being investigated about his dealings with developers and campaign funding. I hope they go after Garodnick, too!
Please come back soon. I do hope there is no serious problem you are dealing with. I know your health and family are much more important than the blog. Just want you to know that we miss you.
