Not to worry, sleepyheads. Mulch-time is well upon us, which means that the beep-beep noise of Stuy Town/Peter Cooper Village vehicles will surely wake you up past 7am if you are still in bed by that time. Thanks a bunch to Stuy Town management for this hoped-for wakeup call!
The smell? Come on, folks, the smell is invigorating! I love the smell of fresh mulch in the morning!
The pollen has been bad so far this spring and the multch is just the icing on the cake! I realize they cannot control the pollen but the multch? Seems to get worse each year! Is this their way of getting us out?

It will not just suppress weeds and slow moisture evaporation, but should also break down into the underlying soil gradually and thereby improve the soil's texture. A layer of mulch helps moderate soil temperatures. That'll be the day when they add to the definition: Another means of getting people to move out of their apartments...
I just asked one of the grounds men why they don't plant grass or plants in some of fenced off mid patches and he said they were for the dogs to go on. Disgusting!

ReplyDeleteDid anyone else read that the reason the landlord keeps winning the DHCR MCI battles is because for years the TA Board refuses to provide the number of members? It says that in the windows MCI challenge. What is going on with the MCI challenges, why are they always settled and settled with tenants on the losing end of the stick and rent stabilized tenants more so. How many members are there and why do they refuse to disclose that to DHCR?
ReplyDeleteThere were a lot of people who were members of the TA when the windows MCI went through. I doubt that there is even a fraction that number of members now. Those window MCIs were the biggest rip-off ever because the windows are CRAP!
