This Sunday - Oval Greek Orgy!

As residents know, we have this Sunday a special world cup soccer-watching game on our huge monitor to annoy everyone who lives around the Oval and wants "peace and quiet." Sure you can watch this game at home, or maybe in a pub, but what good is that when you can watch this game sitting your ass on the grass or in our new cruise ship chairs. Don’t let the complainers get to you. Shout and scream all you want. Enjoy! Really enjoy! Sure, soccer is not a sport we Americans favor and no American team is involved, but what the hell, it is all about our community spirit.

Now, get this, starting at sundown, when the kiddies are all asleep after being puckered out with all the events we have in store for them, we will have our first Oval Greek Orgy! Yes, due to many requests, we will have these events for adults only, but also in honor of our big boss, Stephen A. Schwarzman, who goes to the Greek Islands frequently to party and dress up and spend millions of dollars. Last time, he dressed as Aristotle Onassis!... Forget R7 zoning. We’ve already forgotten it!... By nighttime, Public Safety won’t be around anyway. Are they ever around when it gets dark? Ha, ha.

Stuy Town T-Shirts will be given away, for sure. But, if you lose your T-Shirt... Well, what happens in Stuy Town stays in Stuy Town. That we know! Ha, ha.

So, eh, come and enjoy. Don’t forget, this Sunday. Our first Oval Greek Orgy!

Yours very sin-cerely,

Stuyvesant Town Paradise Forever

  4. Maybe 911 needs to be called.

    Frequently.

After all, it's going to be a dangerous, rowdy mob scene which needs to be quelled.

    I am serious about this.

Call 911 when the screaming starts.

Not only have they attracted homeless alcoholics, according to a previous post, but yesterday I spotted an empty beer bottle, which I pointed out to one of our Officer Joe's. It looked to me as if I were also gazing at beer cans on a nearby table.

The open Oval, with its paddock/corral-like fencing, has become a place to eat upon (notice the 3 new trash receptacles? I am hoping for horse-size rats to nibble on the human rubbish this attracts).

Also, the Oval is open PERMANENTLY, IN ALL WEATHERS, ALL SEASONS NOW: to drink upon. This has been, of course, going on for years, but now has increased dramatically, it appears, especially during the second "feature" of "movie night," when it is dark. The oh so cool and trendy and important "professional" types sit there genteelly sipping their wine in their small herds.

Additionally, the horrifically expanding practice of smoking dope (weed, tree, pot, Mary Jane) is now encouraged and probably invited, as are ALL of the dangerous, noxious, stupid, deleterious and destructive behaviors fostered by ... (plug in the name of a mentally ill and/or thoroughly rotten homo sapien who works here these days). One of our wonderful folks here told me the other evening that basically there is NOTHING they can do about jackasses getting high on the Oval because of the laxity of law enforcement here and besides, it's legal. I pointed out that what is termed "a nuisance" practiced by a tenant can be legally stopped by the landlord.

Since the new paddock/corral fencing has been installed, the human plague has been "sneaking in:" little children, their mothers/nannies, old ladies in their 60's with sufficiently supple skeletons, the homeless, hooligans from outside the complex, and more have been simply ducking between two bars to get in. THIS, UNDOUBTEDLY, IS ONE OF THE OBJECTIVES OF BLACKSTONE'S TWISTED EMPLOYEES.

(* Not only do we have a "Lifestyle Director," we also have a "Chief of Staff." Impressive, huh?)

I have personally seen the locked playgrounds opened for people without a key card. I haven't been waiting long at all, but I have seen this several times, including a kid climbing the fence outside, to let others inside.

I have also seen outsiders parade through the Oval new "fence," and plop down as if it were Jones Beach.

Not once once was anyone checked for key cards or stopped by our PS force and their monitors, which we are perpetually paying for.

Management knows this, but doesn't care. At most, you will hear an excuse.

  9. And, I have also seen dogs from outside walked inside with a high-ranking PS officer seeing them and looking the other way on purpose. At moments like these, I truly believe "no one cares."

  10. Seeing these violations, I am bewildered that on the TA Facebook page a few comments talk about how wonderful everything is here and they have zero complaints. Where do these people live and are their eyes open?

    ReplyDelete
  11. There are some commenters on the TA Facebook page who are horribly insulin to anybody WH complains about the noise intrusion and the filthy deteriorating conditions. And some of them really are bitches - both male and female. There's a snide, obnoxious old crone who always goes on about life "the country" and another preachy old crone who really, really resents that RS tenants pay so much less than MR. Jealousy and covetousness is so ugly.

One despicable SOB asked one poster if she suffers from Tourette's Syndrome. Seriously! I would like to ask him if he suffers from being born an asshole, but that would be asking about the obvious. Meanwhile, Peter Stuyvesant says nothing to these insulting assholes. When John Marsh ran the TA Facebook page it was full of nasty bitches, but he used to ban them after a couple of warnings. Have to hand that much to him. There was a gang of bullies riding roughshod over everyone and they were mostly longtime tenants - all female. Now there is a gang of bullies doing the same thing to the longtime tenants and Peter Stuyvesant gives them a pass. I think the TA is definitely on board with Managements contempt for the longtime tenants and is helping make their lives miserable. They won't drive me out, but I will spread the word far and wide that this is a hellish place to live in many ways.

We need a real TA that is not an extension of the PR campaign to drag in warm bodies with more money than sense.

    1. I strongly agree about the TA posters. The worst part is that they are a clear majority now and hardly anyone offers criticism of management there anymore. Many of them are ignorant bitches. I also agree that the TA administrators are complicit with them. I have left the site completely.

  13. The guy who posted about Tourette's Syndrome is despicable. He brought in a new level of low. I think he should not be allowed on Facebook. I also noticed that the Admin didn't say a word. If these are the kind of people they want living on the property, then I don't want to get to know them or be around them. They are scum. Self-centered, abusive scum.

  14. "The good news: Since 1846, the state Constitution has banned any gift or loan of government money to private corporations — a provision that generations of politicians have bypassed via public authorities and development corporations.

It’s time to breathe new life into that wise old law. Boondoggles like the Buffalo Billion can’t be “reformed.” They need to be outlawed."

  15. Yes, that guy is despicable and ignorant. They feel that they can say anything and abuse people who speak against management because there are only a couple of people voicing their complaints on there. Not sure why people who post here do not post there. I left the site because I was largely outnumbered and attacked. All former posters there disappeared.

    ReplyDelete
  16. >>Not sure why people who post here do not post there.<<

For me, a simple reason. I do not belong to the TA Facebook. I used to, a couple of times, I believe. In the most recent time, my post was kept waiting and waiting, until I was told to post in another thread way down on the page that had little bearing on what I was saying. For me, a waste of time, time that I could use much better. I do have some regrets, however, if just to be a voice that goes against the TA's do nothing but speak nicely of Management agenda.

  17. I also remember another time that I posted as Lamont Cranston. This was okay until someone realized that Lamont Cranston was The Shadow, something I was not keeping a secret as my avatar was The Shadow. This was around the period that the TA mandated that real names be used, though we know that "Peter Stuyvesant" is an alias that is allowed all the time. The real Peter Stuyvesant was an anti-Semite and a racist, btw.

    ReplyDelete
  18. I will say that I enjoy reading the few "complainers" who are on that TA. Otherwise, we will be told that everything is just fine, except in Albany, where the bus leaves at (fill in blank).

  19. I can't be bothered with the TA or its stupid Facebook that is full of mindless morons who enjoy shit "entertainment", shit apartments at premium rents and to be surrounded by shit from dogs, students, transients, winos and their own kind. Let them get on with it because they will all soon be gone and priced out and replaced by more of their kind. They are not worth the time and trouble of dealing with on Facebook or in person.

"Between 2002 and 2015, a succession of owners systematically dismantled the affordability of Stuy Town, the largest complex of rental apartments in Manhattan – a near-mythical urban village that stood for nothing less than the achievements of New York’s middle class.

The collection of 110 red-brick towers remained physically intact, but its character changed dramatically, as its owners ended a 50-year commitment to rent-stabilised, middle-income housing in order to profit from New York’s housing crisis. In 2001, fewer than 100 of Stuy Town’s 11,000 apartments were rented on the open market. Today, more than half of them are."

This happened courtesy of the lawmakers, one of which in glorious hypocrisy put a quote in the article as if he has nothing to do with the dismantling of the largest and last middle class community in the country that happened on his watch whole he held top, powerful government positions.

  27. Sound familiar? Lawsuits are coming against landlords who harass tenants and the press is watching the housing court judges who have a 20 year past history of ZERO landlords held accountable for harassment. Crowley is out so he can't cover up for the judges anymore.

NEW YORK (AP) — The hammering and drilling began just months after Jared Kushner’s family real estate firm bought a converted warehouse apartment building in the hip, Williamsburg section of Brooklyn.

Tenants say it started early in the morning and went on until nightfall, so loud that it drowned out normal conversation, so violent it rattled pictures off the walls. So much dust wafted through ducts and under doorways that it coated beds and clothes in closets. Rats crawled through holes in the walls. Workers with passkeys barged in unannounced. Residents who begged for relief got a standard reply, “We have permits.”

More than a dozen current and former residents of the building told The Associated Press that they believe the Kushner Cos.′ relentless construction, along with rent hikes of $500 a month or more, was part of a campaign to push tenants out of rent-stabilized apartments and bring high-paying condo buyers in.

"The Kushner Cos. told the AP that it didn’t harass any tenants to get them out. But the data suggest turnover at the building known as the Austin Nichols House was significantly higher than city averages for coveted rent-stabilized buildings, leaving behind a trail of anger, disrupted lives and a lawsuit to be filed Monday in which tenants say they were harassed and exposed to high levels of cancer-causing dust."

  28. 7:46 P.M./Sunday

Today was exactly what those exceedingly morally diseased and/or appalling stupid morons wanted: hell.

Thursday night I nearly lost ability to function at all by reason of the audio attack. This morning, the screaming and roaring sounds from screen and jackasses on the Oval was again nearly literally unendurable.

Hours later, I was assailed by more noise. Braying, screaming idiots outside? No. It was two floors down, a tiny apartment which might be a "church," or infested by transients of some various ilks. It occurred to me that this (unidentified - no name plate) apartment would likely NOT have been "hosting" this noise were there no shattering noise, mob, and extreme disturbance this morning. (I'd learned that NO ONE WAS QUESTIONED - EVERY HUMAN BODY THAT WANTED TO BE ON THE OVAL FOR "THE GAME" WAS ALLOWED - AS USUAL.)

I'd wager it was hoped and encouraged: HAVE A GODDAMN FUC**NG PARTY AFTER THE GAME! INVITE 300 OF YOUR CLOSEST FRIENDS! ENTERTAIN THEM!

Moments later, I smelled weed smoke tree dope wafting out of the tiny apartment people by screaming cretins. AS WITH THE NOISE: DIRECTLY INTO MY APARTMENT, MY BODY.

I had a long, long talk with a Security Agent, in person. One of the most miserable yet. LIFE HERE IS WONDERFUL. PEOPLE ARE VERY HAPPY. THIS IS THE BEST IN A LONG TIME. THE SECURITY DEPARTMENT IS VERY, VERY HAPPY.

Are we all happy now? All good neighbors? Is today better than yesterday? Are you making sure NEVER to tell the rude, selfish and sometimes downright dangerous human plague here (take your pick: neighbor, some of the employees, all of "management," the police who are bought off, and a cast of thousands) to STOP whatever the hell wrong they are doing because YOU are HARASSING THEM?

    All clear?

  29. It's only going to get worse.

    Sorry to say.

  30. Talk about cretins, the idiot student apartment in my floor has had a package for someone else in front of their door for a week. Can’t even call service to remove it. I called once for the idiots next door to take it out but I am done with that. That one was near my apartment. The demo here gets lower and lower.

  38. 7:24 A.M.:

I have been told, for years now: DON'T TALK TO ANYONE WHO IS DISTURBING YOU, DOING ANYTHING ILLEGAL OR DANGEROUS. THAT WOULD BE HARASSMENT. IF YOU "CONFRONT" ANYONE, YOU ARE CAUSING THE DISTURBANCE.

Call Security. They may or may NOT (1) investigate the "complaint," "claim," whatever you say to them (which they may well ignore or think is utter nonsense even if you take a blood test, a drug test, a lie detector test); "write it up," "fill out a report," "send it to management."

PERIOD. THEY WILL DO NOTHING. IT AIN'T THEIR JOB, MAN.

BUT, IF YOU CONFRONT WHATEVER PIECES OF HUMAN GARBAGE ARE INFRINGING UPON YOUR RIGHT TO BREATHE IN PEACE, HEY, YOU MAY DAMN WELL BE ARRESTED BECAUSE IT ISN'T "NICE" OF YOU AND YOU AREN'T BEING A GOOD NEIGHBOR. I KID YOU NOT:

A new version of this, "let them hurt you and DO NOT DEFEND YOURSELF BY EVEN TALKING TO THE ASSHOLE BECAUSE THEN YOU ARE IN TROUBLE" was oh so reasonably explained to me last Thursday evening by Rick's office when I threatened to establish peace and quiet by myself while I was being deafened, harassed and assaulted by the goddamned NOISE coming into every window of my home for hours. "Oh, then this isn't nice. You aren't being a good neighbor!" THAT IS WHAT WAS TOLD TO ME.
