While Rome Burns... and the TA Found!

Now, as Rome burned and we had the Thursday "meeting" at the Oval with some of our higher ups, I took a photo of this:

And the TA was found! Here is proof:

And!!!

Later that day. Near the Management Office, of course:

The Response from Jon Gray, Head of Blackstone's Real Estate Division

On June 8th of this year, I sent a very courteous letter to Jon Gray, the head of Blackstone's Real Estate division. The letter mentioned some of the problems that Stuyvesant Town has been seeing, and the photos I sent underlined what I was referring to.

Today, August 8th, I will post the response:

Nothing.

Mr. Gray certainly knew about Stuyvesant Town when his company brought it, when he met with local politicians, when he was part of this:

So that is it, folks. No response.

Just the facts, ma'am.

(If someone from his office did contact me, please respond. Otherwise...)

Today, Meeting with the Local Politicians!

Starting at 4pm, there will be a meeting with our local politicians at the Community Center in Stuyvesant Town. The Community Center, also called the Senior Center, is at 449 East 14 Street, but the entrance is from the loop around 1st Ave. Unless you don't live nearby, chances are you've seen the Center. At the meeting will be our new Councilperson, Keith Powers, and probably, Harvey Epstein, our NYS Assembly person.

Speaking of Powers, I saw him walking along the loop where he must have seen this:

Do note, not only the mattress, but further down a Public Safety vehicle. No doubt, Powers called this in or Public Safety. The latter has those monitors that we are paying for and will be paying for, as long as we live.

Powers did not see, this:

... which is on the other side of the loop. Of course, PS will know about it, having all those monitors and PS officers that go about the property.

Millionth Verse, Same as First...

Photos taken today, and it's still not the end of the day.

And a photo I took yesterday. You've seen stuff like this all the time.

Department of City Planning about R7-2 in Stuyvesant Town (An Oldie but Goodie)

Just a reminder:

Come On, You Need a Stiff Drink and Stuy Town is Here to Help

This month's rent comes with the Stuy Town usual, heavy and glossy brochure on why it's great living here. Of course, you will be invited to join the new Stuy Fitness at 14h Street and take part in a raffle for a year membership. I assume that if you win, the membership is free, but you have to sign up first (and pay?) before you enter this raffle. Another money-making scheme idea brought to you by your friends at Blackstone.

And, if you are down, you will need a good drink! Stuy Town offers their "Deal of the Month," which is, you guessed it, a discount on drinks at the local bar!

Don't you think serving alcohol at our Five Stuy Cafe is not far behind?

Woke Up This Morning and What Did I See?

Rainy weather. Overflowing garbage area inside (nothing new, of course), and drizzly, wet weather outside. The mattresses outside must be damp by now. Yeech!

Those three mattresses look kinda familiar. No, it can't be. Maybe around the corner, it will be different...
