  2. Why didn't the Tenant Association call attention to this?

Why didn't the Tenant Association tell all of us Brookfield took over the construction for Tishman Speyer on the Open Space and the Chopped Dorms?

What is really going on here?????

  4. Is brookfield the same brookfield that wants the place COOPed?

So confused here STR ---- Posters need to be more specific if they want support or understanding of what 's going on here. some of us are slow, some of us are old.

  5. The TA and its so called leadership of ex-President Marsh and newly anointed Queen Susan Steinberg are vile, corrupt and totally in bed with ownership and management. Indeed why didn't the TA call attention to this? Is it just incompetence or something more nefarious?. Hmmmmmmmm...

  6. >>Is brookfield the same brookfield that wants the place COOPed?<<

The one and only, unless there's another Brookfield.

  7. It is the same Brookfield that partnered with Dan. Brookfield and Tishman pretend to be rivals while they move money between them, move employees between them, move properties between them and give each other awards at REBNY events.

    Brookfield Asset Management

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brookfield_Asset_Management

"Brookfield Asset Management, Inc. is a Canadian asset management company that manages a global portfolio of total assets under management of more than $200 billion, invested on behalf of clients.[8] The firm's assets are concentrated in property, renewable power, infrastructure and private equity.[8]

Over the next century, the company expanded and it is now an owner and operator of approximately $200 billion of real assets, with 24,000 employees in over 100 offices in 20 different countries.[3] The company's major public subsidiaries include Brookfield Renewable Energy Partners, Brookfield Property Partners, Brookfield Canada Office Properties, Brookfield Incorporações, Brookfield Office Properties, Brookfield Residential Properties Inc., Brookfield Infrastructure Partners, and Brookfield Real Estate Services."

  10. Albeit the one and only but has nothing to do with conversion (in this case).

  11. Of course Dan allowed the Oval Tree Massacre saying it was "legal" for his REBNY partner Brookfield who did the construction of the "for members only" student campus amenities that turned our once all inclusive friendly community into a "have" and "have nots" community with "for members only" signs strewn about, while CW CompassRock pocketed millions as "servicer". 12. Not "COOPed, but Condo
Brookfield wants the property luxury condos for the wealthy, divided up by luxury NYU Housing, luxury short-term stay for NYU Langone medical alley, and maybe for tax reasons luxury market rate for a few long term families. Brookfield and Tishman are the same. That was what Tishman Speyer was doing. Robbie wanted to stop paying the mortgage so they created this financial real estate fraud arrangements.

  13. Did they really think this working class community was too stupid and or too lazy to see what they are really up to? That we are easily conned and robbed and will bend over and rollover?

Cuomo, Stringer, Garodnick may hold jobs to make this happen for their Tishman Speyer Brookfield and Hedge Fund buddies, but their dirty little secrets will get out one day, maybe another Bagli book or 60 minutes expose. 26. When did REBNY predators Speyer/Brookfield flip Garodnick and when did Garodnick flip the TA?

Brookfield, knowing PCVST tenants will be duped into handing it exclusive access to Fannie/Freddie purchase funding worth billions and 100% ownership/control of PCVST via rigged transaction, was hiring Speyer's PCVST employees onto its payroll months before Garodnick and the TA announced, without ever consulting or informing their PCVST neighbors/constituents, that instead of a genuine tenant led purchase delivering genuine tenant led ownership of the PCVST complex and a genuine opportunity for middle class affordable ownership of individual PCVST resident's homes, they were entering into a formal partnership agreement with major REBNY predator and $25 million Speyer investor Brookfield to transact a phony tenant led purchase delivering 100% PCVST ownership/control to Brookfield and 100% of nothing to tenants. Even more disgraceful, under the cynical guise of a preposterous false choice option, they propose converting PCVST into an expensive Brookfield condo inherently intended to confiscate from the overwhelming majority of current PCVST residents any possibility of affording to own their individual PCVST homes.

At a time Brookfield was already confident hiring Speyer employees, Garodnick and the TA misled PCVST tenants into believing they were scrutinizing more than 50 competing proposals they claimed would deliver the best possible future outcome for their PCVST neighbors/constituents. Instead, they violated fiduciary obligations owed to their PCVST neighbors/constituents by stabbing them in the back with a scheme that, other than a tiny set-aside affordable quotient, is certain to eradicate the middle class out of PCVST. Brookfield will realize Speyer's predatory, scorched-earth, all-or-nothing dream come true.

When Garodnick approached TA board members recommending Moelis as financial advisor they should have thrown him out the door. When he approached them recommending Brookfield should own/control/exploit PCVST they should have thrown him out the window. If not for Garodnick-TA malfeasance, PCVST tenants could have owned the entire PCV complex without an unnecessary partner/intermediary and affordably purchased their individual PCVST homes years ago. Current PCVST tenants having no honest representation will lose everything.

The TA should provide PCVST tenants an opportunity to review the 50 competing proposals it rejected before entering into a formal partnership agreement with REBNY predator Brookfield that betrays PCVST tenants. Otherwise the TA is illegitimate and should not represent PCVST tenants during negotiations over the future of their homes and lives.

Garodnick is killing PCVST. His conflicting interests are tremendous and cannot be ethically resolved. He should just walk away, taking with him the Wall Street/REBNY predators Brookfield, Moelis and Paul Weiss showering him with money to betray his PCVST neighbors/constituents.

The whole city council knew what Dan was doing, the old city council under Christine Quinn and the new one under Melissa Mark Viverito. Brookfield owns the city council, especially the downtown lower Manhattan councilwoman whose name I forgot. The REBNY bought, paid for and owns all of them. There are several such "small world after all" links in the STPCV environment. Isn't a lawyer who works for the TA a member of the REBNY?

People can take from this info what they want. That, perhaps, friendships were formed in one organization that last beyond employment in that organization. Or, perhaps, there are no lasting links and maybe there's even disdain for the previous organization. Or, perhaps, everything is rotten in the state of Denmark and in this city.

By LLC lawsuit’s logic, Cuomo could be docked nearly $5 million

The governor would hardly be alone, however. If the courts accepted this method of enforcement action, Attorney General Eric Schneiderman could face penalties nearing $700,000. Comptroller Tom DiNapoli could be docked almost $150,000 for his fundraising from Glenwood. And hundreds of Assembly members, City Council members and county coroners would need to worry about repercussions for fundraising practices that were widely scrutinized but that they had had reason to assume was legal.

"The dots do not appear connected to Stuyvesant Town in any way."
--- Your "working dude" was paid to break up PCVST apartments converted to dorms filled with transients destroying QOL here. Connecting dots not necessary.

"Brookfield does not have any projects at STPCV."
--- That's an incredible statement. STPCV is a Brookfield project since 2006. Speyer's failure did not change Brookfield's REBNY predator values. Owning/Controlling/Exploiting the entire PCVST complex and taking everything away from PCVST tenants is a Brookfield value. For Brookfield, duping PCVST tenants into handing it their exclusive access to Fannie/Freddie billions in exchange for a few worthless promises to do nothing costing it nothing will be better than sex. Killing RS is a major Brookfield value. 24/7/365 it showers our elected politicians with millions of dollars ordering them to maintain RS on a death march. Garodnick changed his values to match Brookfield's. TA board members changed their values to match Garodnick's. PCVST tenants having no honest representation will lose everything.

"No I do not work for MGMT. Just don't see any connection here between this working dude's profile on LinkedIn and our community."
--- Don't care who you work for and Don't see how a member of this community can't see his connection and numerous other direct links joining Speyer and Brookfield together. Again, this "working dude" earned money breaking apart PCVST apartments into partitioned dorms "occupied" by transients destroying our QOL, and yours too, if you are a member of this community.

"And it's inappropriate perhaps slander to post his profile like the way it presents here (innuendo)"
--- It's inappropriate for you to misconstrue "slander" to attack STR. And it's oxymoronic for you to use innuendo to imply innuendo. Your portraying this "working dude" employed by REBNY predators Speyer-Brookfield as "victim" is either hilarious or insulting to PCVST residents.

When did Brookfield flip Garodnick and when did Garodnick flip the TA? It's understandable Garodnick is just another REBNY owned NY politician. He is living proof that NYS Constitution legislation mandating term limits is effective. More important, how did he convince the TA to betray their PCVST neighbors/constituents? Why did the TA needlessly partner with major REBNY predator Brookfield investing $25 million supporting and cheerleading Speyer destroying PCVST and the historic PCVST community the TA claims it represents? Brookfield's Speyer investment is damning, automatically disqualifying Brookfield from having any type of business relationship with PCVST tenants involving the future of their homes and lives. Why are Garodnick and the TA duping their PCVST neighbors/constituents into handing over our exclusive access to Fannie/Freddie purchase funding worth billions, 100% ownership/control of the entire PCVST complex AND OUR HOMES! to this REBNY predator that already failed to boot us all out of our homes? Garodnick and TA conniving will scam us into buying our homes for Brookfield, providing this REBNY predator a 2nd opportunity to boot us out of them. Why did Garodnick and the TA prostitute themselves for Brookfield?

    ReplyDelete
  70. >>With respect to you sir (it's your blog) perhaps you might blur this working stiff's face and name. Doing so would still convey the "small world" thesis as effectively.<<

You're being overly dramatic. This person was named previously. His profile is public by choice (his). Should I also leave out de Blasio's name and photo when he is mentioned on the blog? Perhaps eliminate Robbie Speyer from the front page? Perhaps just not show any photos from the REBNY annual galas that are on display on other sites, with names identifying the participants?

  76. "where are the new families? Where are young couples starting out ?"

Good question! Where are the "New Stabilizers" that John Marsh gushed about and who is thought would pony up the outrageous asking price to buy the condos that he and Dan and Ms. Steinberg are so enthusiastic about?

    ReplyDelete
  77. 12 04 Well they left since there is no coop here. You keep posting that we're condo coop and we are not, never were, never will be.

    ReplyDelete
  78. John Marsh spoke of his "sharp knives" but the reality is he's all about soft mittens. Don't look for him, his duplicitous pals Stazi and Danny Boy, or his "new stabilizers."

    ReplyDelete
  79. John Marsh said whatever Dan Garodnick and Brad Hoylmann told him to say.

  80. Is Donalda notarizing those DOB documents Notary Fraud? Is Compass Rock is committing Notary Fraud on all their DOB documents?

"The primary duty of a Notary Public is to show that he or she, acting as a disinterested party, has noted that the signer of a document understands the importance of what he or she is signing, that the signature is that of the signer, and that the document was signed willingly. The signature and seal of a Notary Public in and of themselves do not provide proof of these facts, but they do allow people in trade and commerce to rely on the Notary Public as a third party who has no personal stake in the transaction."

  81. How to Protect Yourself from Notary Fraud

Many fraud cases, especially those involving real estate fraud, begin with a Notary Public who has been paid off to fraudulently acknowledge a document. This scenario plays out from time to time because almost all documents filed in the county records require a notary stamp. Most counties don’t have a system in place through which they can verify the legitimacy of a notary, and since it’s relatively easy to obtain a notary stamp, this type of fraud is growing increasingly common.

Case in point: a group of con artists in the Houston area recently claimed more than 70 vacant houses by crafting fake deeds with forged notary seals, leaving dozens homeowners angry and baffled.

Donalda Habersham is not a "disinterested party"
She works for Fred Knapp Compass Rock!

  83. I am legally subletting my place since my job is taking me to Chicago. Where would one advertise this for decent honest tenants? Thank you all.

    ReplyDelete
  84. My son in law is a steamfitter (legal, unionized) and when I asked him about fraud at the DOB he just rolled his eyes and said "It's how they do business." His job involves inspecting work that has been done and he fails most of it and says he doesn't know how the hell they got the permits in the first place unless they BOUGHT them. I wish he'd get assigned over here, but I don't think they employ unionized labor here. I see the guys lining the fences eating their lunches and they all look like day laborers. Maybe they're not, but that's the impression I get.

  85. 1:08 can't you read the writing on the wall? High priced condos are a certainty, bank on it.

They are not getting one brown penny of my money!

    ReplyDelete
  87. Notary fraud is a crime. Fred Knapp (a lawyer) know this full well.

    ReplyDelete
  88. 1:44 thanks for the inside information. The DOB's negligence and intentional fraudulent practices makes them culpable for every on-site injury, illness and death caused from construction.

    ReplyDelete
  89. It will be sold off. It has to be. Paul Weiss helped the REBNY investors bring up the price so they can get their money (Brookfield, Speyer) CW helped Fortress get their money, Nobody helped the tenants to purchase at a fair and reasonable price.

    ReplyDelete
  90. 3 42 am , yeah, sure, but it won't matter. will be this way in this corrupt town for another 25 years or more.

    ReplyDelete
  91. There wil not be condos. You fail to answer why CW and CR would give up the rental biz. It is very lucrative for them and day by day this grows.

"They are not getting one brown penny of my money!"

They don't want you or one brown penny of your money. Brookfield will sell your home to NYU, then NYU will push you out of their condo investment.

    ReplyDelete
  93. Compass Rock CW have to sell next year.

    ReplyDelete
  94. 11:57. Why condo? They would generate massive capital in the short term AND generate regular massive capital in the long term through condo maintenance fees.

    ReplyDelete
  95. "They don't want you or one brown penny of your money. Brookfield will sell your home to NYU, then NYU will push you out of their condo investment."

They might try, but that doesn't mean they'll be successful. Some of us will not be pushed out of our homes so easily.

    ReplyDelete
  96. Wasting space, wasting time hoping or talking condo. Honestly quite boring to talk about Hell Freezing Over.

    ReplyDelete
  97. er, i don't think anyone gets pushed out. In fact, some get pushed in and get to stay and make a real home here. It's not always about YOU.

    ReplyDelete
  98. 11:59 - don't get your point. Who gets pushed in? They are trying to get rid of longtime tenants and they will have a fight on their hands because this is my home and my home is about ME,

    ReplyDelete
  99. 8:29 Waste of time to discuss the inevitable Sale and disposition of the property? How about its the ONLY thing worth discussing!

    ReplyDelete
  100. If you are referring to the NYPD who used to get bumped up the wait list in the days of MetLife as those getting pushed in, I want those who get pushed in as my neighbors. They are infinitely better than the riff raff neighbors we have now.

    ReplyDelete
  101. NYPD cannot afford an expensive Brookfield condo. REBNY does not want them living here.

    ReplyDelete
  102. Right O! We don't need police and Fire fighters in our city. I forgot!!!

What a wonderful city we have all created now.

    ReplyDelete
  103. Let me state the obvious. Community relationships with police is much closer when police and fire department personnel are members of the community they serve and protect. When they do not live in the community they work in the relationship distances and severs.

Personally I think they are better neighbors too. Our "new stabilizer" family neighbors are rude and self-centered. I want NYPD officers and FDNY fire fighters living here (but not the NYPD FDNY commisioners who party with the REBNY and act more like shady politicians then like honorable police or noble firemen).

Off to my shift. Have a good day all.

    ReplyDelete
  104. Yes it is notary fraud. Thousands of incidents / counts of notary fraud (including on the no change in occupancy false statements).

How many more false statements are in the Fortress Hedge Fund, Brookfield Asset Management, Compass Rock, NYC Department of Buildings documents?

    ReplyDelete
  105. What a wonderful city we have all created now. .......

Wrong! We have not ALL created the city as it is now. The shitty, corrupt politicians have created it. Remember, they don't work for us, they work for their owners/donors, e.g., the REBNY.

    ReplyDelete
  106. "How many more false statements are in the Fortress Hedge Fund, Brookfield Asset Management, Compass Rock, NYC Department of Buildings documents?"

A LOT! This entire dangerous, greedy, sleazy scam that is being perpetuated is totally dependent on the sleazy, corrupt politicians in City Hall and Albany. We are at their mercy. I hope that when the elections roll around THEY will be at OUR mercy.

    ReplyDelete
  107. er, who votes all these politicians in? WE DO.

    ReplyDelete
  108. No actually we did not vote them in. We withheld our votes in record numbers and these arrogant thick-headed politicians still did not get the message that they better start doing their job for the People and start everyday with "how will I earn the privilege of my job today so the People have confidence I can do my job"

Now we have to outright fire them. Withholding our votes is not enough to get through to them. Voting against the incumbent, voting for anyone but them is the only way to get through. Their probation period is over. They failed this one last chance term they got from us withholding our votes. Now we vote against them.

    ReplyDelete

  109. Most Definitely Voting Against REBNY controlled Maloney, REBNYowned Cuomo, Garodnick, Schneidermann, Stringer.

    ReplyDelete
  110. I will vote for anyone running against any one of the incumbents. I'll vote for literally ANYONE because no candidates could be more corrupt and loathesome than what we have in office now.
