This was a moment of inspiration. Not only are there photos of "jumping the shark," I decided to take some limited photos of what I see in the property. Time: a little past 8am. Enjoy!
If you can't fix the clock, put up a smiley face!
You, too!
Ah, wait, wait. The workers will be here soon. You can forget about Officer Joe. He doesn't pick up garbage.
You know, I could have eaten there, too. Night, morning? Whatever....
Hard to see in this photo, but there are bits of paper strewn all over the curb. You may get hit by a passing ST cart, so watch out!
How many times do I have to call Management? That is a fire hydrant. Against the law to be near it so close. Then again, at least you can see it; sometimes it is covered up all over with garbage.
Looks nice. But what is that newspaper doing there? I saw it...yesterday morning in the same place!
Bon appetit!
Priceless. Not a single item has been moved by me for the photo.
Sorry. I just had to. Near the small security booth, by those new "Have a Great Day" signs.
It seems like 20 years since this has been fixed. Of course, it is not 20 years, more like months. What gives?

I'm sorry, again. The shot was too perfect. So I went back and took a more telling photo.
The garbage strewn about the property is disgusting. I see worse everyday. Uncovered mattresses and move out refuse in front of my building on the loop which has been designated a disposal site. Sometimes it is on the sidewalk. They contend that they pick it up in the truck, but yesterday the mattress was out al least three hours. It is embarrassing to have visitors here. Hayduk needs to address this and stop focusing on his low class entertainment.
ReplyDeleteHave a Great Day 😀
ReplyDeleteMaybe they'll put smiley stickers on all the dog shit and mattresses.
ReplyDeleteWhaddya think Rick???
But we have the Oval "concerts' to look forward to.
ReplyDeleteForget the garbage and uncovered mattresses and total decline of quality of life here in PigStyTown.
We can look forward to the noise assaults emanating from the Oval more and more nights.
Pray for rain that's all I can say.
What a low class environment this once pristine oasis has become. For shame!
This morning , on my walk to the supermarket, I observed a large array of garbage strewn about on my loop including the sidewalk. There were about three or four u-hauls and moving trucks. This sty gets filthier and filthier. I bet Hayduks property in Boca didn’t look like this.
ReplyDeleteI had to go and pick up some stuff from Associated. Passed by the dog shit that is between the Great Day signs and that PS guard house. This is around 12:30. Dog shit still there.
ReplyDeleteSaw quite a few dogs with no lanyard. Not stopped or escorted out.
Saw outsiders coming in to Stuy Town, No PS checking the Oval grass area and the Farmer's Market and Oval cafe.
Welcome!
Jumping the Shark is the moment when an established long-running series changes in a significant manner in an attempt to stay fresh. Ironically, that moment makes the viewers realize that the show's finally run out of ideas. It's reached its peak, it'll never be the same again, and from now on it's all downhill.
ReplyDeleteIf these are the biggest complaints of this place then we have it pretty good.
ReplyDeleteThe area by the 14th St. loop in front of my building is still strewn with move out garbage. They cannot keep up with its removal. Why can’t they build storage facilities for all this crap. We don’t want to look at it every time we leave our apartments.
ReplyDelete>>If these are the biggest complaints of this place then we have it pretty good.<<
ReplyDeleteSeriously? I guess you didn't live here 20 years ago or so.
What is it? After 4pm. Dog shit is still there.
ReplyDeleteMaybe maybe they'll put a smiley face sticker on it. 😋
DeleteJune 24 3:05. You may not think garbage and filth outside is a big deal, but I do. When a property starts getting neglected in this way, you get an increase in vermin. Plus who wants to live in a place where garbage and dog crap are dumped indiscriminately. Not sure what your priorities are.
ReplyDeleteI went out toward evening, and guess what? Well, the dog crap is still there, but now it is joined by more dog crap further on the Oval ring, but still near the PS guard house. Amazing that now there are two dog turds, not just smears, around the PS guard house. Good job, security. And no, I'm not going to call it in. I'm tired of that, and I don't receive a paycheck from Blackstone. There are continual Public Safety officers riding around all the time (Officer Joes), at least during daylight hours, and workers employed by Blackstone.

ReplyDeleteNice floors. I wish I could live there.
And they want us to recommend this place to friends and acquaintances! What a bunch of fucking morons! They must think we are as moronic as they are!
ReplyDeleteJ O K E !!!!!!
ReplyDeleteThe dog "stuff" that I took a photo of yesterday is still there this morning. I guess they (Management or PS) is waiting for rain?
ReplyDeletePIG Stuy! And Peter POOPER Village!
ReplyDelete"The dog "stuff" that I took a photo of yesterday is still there this morning. I guess they (Management or PS) is waiting for rain?"
ReplyDeleteI'm sure it is scenting the air beautifully on this hot day. That is the Official Perfume of Stuytown - Dog Shit.
Eau de dog dooday.
DeleteI can’t stand it when I get that pamphlet Management sends out with the rent. All that ink on the movies and concerts. All sheer crap and an annoyance. I hate the way they keep publicizing that garbage as amenities.
ReplyDeleteLast night in Gypsy Village formerly PCV:
ReplyDeleteUpon arriving home from work we stepped outside the elevator on our floor to be welcomed by that now all too familiar dogshit smell-filled hall and all too commonplace smear of fresh dogshit trail along the carpet.
Black$stone take note.
What is luxury living? Not long ago PCVST residents never had to remember – "Always Watch Your Step! Watch Your Step Everywhere!" Until recently, we never had to give it a thought. For decades, we never realized that not being forced to remember – "Always Watch Your Step! Watch Your Step Everywhere!" – was luxury living.
Maybe it's time for Blackstone to hire a consultant group that can deal with group psychology and organize a "keep it clean" campaign. Target the garbage and dog shit with messaging on community pride or some goal like that. It's painfully clear at this point that left to their own devices, many people are simply self centered, narcissistic pigs.
ReplyDeleteRemember that PCV/ST was a close knit community and wouldn't tolerate bad behavior. Turnover was non existent, and people had a general sense of who lived here. That doesn't exist at all anymore, so getting people on the same page might be nearly impossible.
The garbage and dog shit all over the property is a reflection of Rick Hayduk's level of managerial skills. Even the loathsome CWC did a better job of cleaning.
ReplyDeleteRe: 6/26/18
ReplyDeleteReally shocking about your PCV living conditions. I've been here long enough to remember when ST tenants would give anything to transfer over to PCV. Now, I'm so glad I didn't do it, even with the bigger rooms.
