Perhaps It's An Amenity?

I may have figured it out... Those mattresses, rugs, sofas, desks, etc, on the loops are actually amenities! Yes, residents are free to pick up what they want and put it in their apartment. (Who needs Ikea?) And if you need a rest, why there's a sofa or mattress on the loop!

I may have gotten it all wrong previously. Management is doing us a big favor, and we are bitching! Figures!

  1. This place is fucking unbelievable! Do we actually have a Property Manager? Does Hayduk actually show up to work? What about his minions? Unfuckingbelievable! They should all be fired. Please get these photos out to the press.

  4. That's a decent looking sofa. I would have put it on Craigslist for $100!

I find the wooden benches around the property too hard and uncomfortable.

Plush sofas are much appreciated! Maybe Hayduk can provide a few by the fountain.

I'm getting older. I appreciate some comfort in my old age!

  5. Since we don’t allow our children to jump on the bed in the apartment, this is the perfect opportunity to allow them to get some bed jumping in. Who cares if the mattresses are a little dirty, if management isn’t concerned about the mattresses being wrapped, as required by law, why should I be concerned about letting little Jack and Jill jumping on them? I’m thinking of letting Fido roll around in the mattresses also!

  6. The funny thing is that some of the old time tenants say it isn’t the fault of ST, that it is fine. Almost got into an argument over this. That is what we are dealing with here. There are still some that continue to worship Hayduk and feel he can do no wrong as long as he answers their e-mails.

  7. 7:36 PM, I am a longtime tenant and I think that Hayduk is a useless, incompetent asshole. So do many of my peers. Those who think he's the cat's whiskers are probably senile.

"The funny thing is some of the old time tenants ..."

    OK "some" but very few.

I am here 25 years and don't know any long term "old time" PCVST residents who believe this place is well managed. They do not worship Hayduk because he answers emails. They know he is a joke. They see the dogshit, dumped furniture and debris strewn about everywhere throughout this once pristine residential complex. They fully realize signs posted every 10 feet asking people to be considerate complying with "rules" they know will never be enforced are ridiculous. They know hundreds, if not thousands, of unidentified, illegal transients pose a greater safety hazard than squirrels.

Some troll(s) is/are trying and failing to establish false narratives about seniors convinced Blackstone destroying their community is somehow wonderful. Just Call Rick constantly posting images of himself smiling at seniors sitting on a bench does not mean they are fooled by him or Blackstone propaganda or lying politicians or Vichy TA or P.R. Lobbyists.

Long term PCVST residents can see. They can hear. They can smell. They can read. They can remember. The overwhelming majority of them are not fooled by anyone.

  11. Is Blackstone conducting online furniture auctions?

    ReplyDelete
  12. 10:50pm - it would appear so! If you can’t beat them, join them... maybe I will start taking my camera and doing flash auctions on eBay or Facebook with all the crap we have on the sidewalks of this property.

  13. I'm sure many, if not all, have seen the elevators encompassed inside by smelly padding. On the main floor there also is ugly makeshift padding, seemingly of cardboard and a layer of see-though cheap plastic that I saw yesterday a woman with baby carriage almost trip over. This "padding" has been there for days. I did call PS about this hazard. The "hill" of the padding that went loose has been fixed, but the cheap padding (tapped no less to the ground!) is still there.

  14. STR - I have had an elevator padded for at least the past 6 months. 6 damn months of one elevator looking like shit, and the great part is these morons moving in use both elevators for their moves. I spoke to an Otis guy (off the record) YESTERDAY, who said these elevators are a disaster waiting to happen.

Rick (who I would sue personally) and Blackstone will not survive an elevator tragedy on this property. I just pray it’s not someone I know.

I hope nothing happens. That said, if something does happen, Blackstone and Management will try to hush it up. Bad for business.

Blackstone will survive. And thrive. That's already guaranteed in writing. Since Speyer, we've learned through harsh experience that our corrupt elected representatives owned by REBNY/Wall Street predators bankrolling them already ensured that a Blackstone malfeasance caused tragedy/disaster wiping out the entire PCVST community can only result in tremendous profits for Blackstone.

Blackstone owning PCVST is the tragedy/disaster needlessly inflicted on us by our corrupt elected representatives.

  17. One of the elevators in my building has had padding in it for months and it stinks. Also, it is constantly malfunctioning. I only use the other one because there is so much dust and dirt in the padded elevator (probably asbestos) and if it comes first (which it usually does) I send it up with a few stops to the top floor. That way I know the "clean" elevator will come before the dirty one has finished its journey I've sent it on!

But a true tragedy has not hit the property yet. Do you really expect Blackstone to survive a major elevator accident? Or multiple elevator accidents?

Time will tell, but I will expect Shwartzmans mansions if anything happens.

  19. When a catastrophic elevator accident happens they will cover it up like they have covered up the NYU students running a meth factory in their apartment, resulting in one fatality (don't know that I believe he committed suicide) and several near fatalities.

    This place is disgusting.

  20. Other than a hushed up NYU connection, we know nothing about the sulfuric acid chemical poisoning death.

Sulfuric acid is a highly corrosive chemical that is potentially explosive in concentrated form. It can cause severe skin burns, can irritate the nose and throat and cause difficulties breathing if inhaled, can burn the eyes and possibly cause blindness, and can burn holes in the stomach if swallowed.

  21. Anybody heard any more about the proposed lawsuit against NYU and Blackstone because of that sulfuric acid incident? I think somebody said that some of the tenants in the building (451?) had filed suit. I'll have to peruse the Law Journal when I go to work. This is definitely negligence on the part of Blackstone and NYU to rent to such flaky, very young unhinged kids. Surely, somebody had an idea as to what was going on in that apartment.

  22. They rent to anyone. I can imagine the backgrounds of some of the tenants who live here.

    ReplyDelete
  23. I walked in off the street this week, and with my healthy salary was offered an apartment on the spot. No further background checks done, just checked to make sure I could pay the rent.

This is the new reality folks. They also offered me a nice deal on 14th Street. Are they f’ing kidding me.
