Thanks to a STR reader for alerting me to this show.
Our landlord, BLACKSTONE, can't handle Stuy Town and Peter Cooper Village. There is a lack of enforcement of certain "rules," and no amount of notice to this alleviates the problems. We are continually being told half-truths and fabrications. And we have no viable Tenants organization, despite our TA asking for dues all the time. So far, the politicians have proven to be basically useless. A typical New York story.
Brits are known for their small dicks and bad teeth...jus' sayin'
ReplyDeleteI guess we can add unmitigated greed to the list...lol.
Have a great weekend and God Bless You STR.
You are indeed a saint!
I want a little devil in there, too. ;-)
ReplyDeleteWho is Peter W?
ReplyDeleteHuh?
ReplyDelete"Peter W" is the spin doctor/PR Bull Shitter from Blackstone who responds to the Yelp reviews.
ReplyDelete2 samples.
One star: " thank you for posting your comments and please accept my apologies for your experience. As you know from having lived here for almost 2 years, your experience is not the norm, and was an isolated incident.
Thank you again and best regards"
5 stars: "thank you for your post and for letting everyone know how much you and your family are enjoying StuyTown.
We couldn't have put it in better words ourselves.
Best regards,"
Oh, that Peter!
ReplyDeleteomfh, peter sounds like another unhelpful lazy employee
ReplyDeleteHe really is a PETER!
ReplyDeleteIt would be interesting to see in square footage terms a comparison of how much "affordable housing" versus "luxury housing" the de Blasio team is taking a victory lap for building.
ReplyDeleteFlashback: Nearly all STR comments accurately predicted future when politicians betrayed us for Blackstone

A few choice comments:
"The other apartments which are not affordable will continue to be rented as NYU dorm dumps and hotel rooms. This place will still be a dump.

"Clearly, Garodnick-TA-Brookfield refused to consider the transaction Mayor de Blasio claims will preserve 44% middle class rent affordability for 20 years, thereby killing any short term possibility of a successful MR condo conversion.
So what does Garodnick do?
Double talking Dan declares victory of course, falsely claiming he shared the mayor's goal to maximize rent affordability all along.

"How impressive! A deal protecting the units that were already protected! I LOVVVVEEEE THIS. Making fools of us all.

"Basically at the press conference Blackstone and the Tenant Association and city politicians showed their alliance against tenants. Steinberg TA is now aligned with Jon Grey at Blackstone. She is a piece of work, that lady.

She is a piece of work, that lady. >>>>>
ReplyDeleteShe does seem rather fond of the photo ops with the politicians, but surely she must realize that she is at the top of the Death Team list because she is not young and she has a very, very inexpensive apartment. I don't begrudge her that, but I think she should become a little more tenant-friendly and a little less management-friendly. They are salivating at the thought of her demise just as much as the rest of the older, rent stabilized tenants. It's a horrible feeling knowing that the Death Team is just waiting for you to croak. If you are an older tenant it is important to remember that the TA is not your friend and neither is Deadly Dan the REBNY Man.
WTF does affordable housing mean, who decides this. If you can scrape together, do without less, then it's affordable. Even though it's days are numbered Affordable Health Care was anything but affordable. Again choices have to be made!
ReplyDeletetomboy you are spot on. corrupt effin city and about to get worse.
