Our landlord, BLACKSTONE, can't handle Stuy Town and Peter Cooper Village. There is a lack of enforcement of certain "rules," and no amount of notice to this alleviates the problems. We are continually being told half-truths and fabrications. And we have no viable Tenants organization, despite our TA asking for dues all the time. So far, the politicians have proven to be basically useless. A typical New York story.

HCR Grants Request for Reconsideration of MCI Increases
Cuomo is not our friend. He is a close buddy of the odious Rob Speyer and he is a proven slime ball in his own right. Don't depend on Cuomo for anything except his working against the RS tenants in NYC. If he ever runs for Prez, I will vote for ANYBODY who runs against him because I believe he is the dirtiest of the dirty.
Not sure what to make of this HCR grant. I guess it's a positive, despite the fact that it keeps the MCI orders "in full force" for now, but I'm not celebrating.
You must read the letter that Tim Collins (Counsel to the Tenants Association) sent to CWC's attorney. It's his response to CWC's MCI settlement offer that we all received Friday. It's spectacular!
We should stay positive regarding allegiance to the TA and their work on these MCIs, however I do have to note that Collins stated his certainty that the MCIs would be rescinded (at least temporarily) before the MCIs were reviewed by the DHCR. This is what I heard during the TA meeting last week. The "grant" by the HCR changes the sequence, it seems. As for management and their MCI reps, screw them.
Well thanks for posting that useless piece of bullshit, I mean information. Is there a schedule up for when our attorney Tim Collins can "talk to reps about the MCIs"?

Great letter from Tim Collins to CW's lawyers is embedded in the link you posted!
"“The orders issued remain in full force and effect with respect to prospective rent increases until new orders are issued after reconsideration.”
WTF? Has the HCR been hitting Rob Ford's crack stash?
Where's Cuomo?

Yeah, that really stuck out.

Management has a sign outside 360 PCV; shows the schedule for anyone who wishes to go inside and talk to reps about the MCIs.
