Bill Clinton Joins TA Counsel Team!

We've just learned that former President of the United States, Bill Clinton, has joined the Tenants Association legal team, at least in an advisory position. President Clinton, a former lawyer (once disbarred), will craft a statement that will be read at the forthcoming May 10th Tenants Association meeting which will explain the meaning of the word "rescind."

The TA released a statement early Monday morning: "We at the TA were particularly impressed with how the President handled the meaning of the word 'is' in his 1998 grand jury testimony, and we felt we needed his expert legal advice on explaining the word 'rescind' to tenants who still don't understand that the MCIs that tenants received were actually rescinded, according to the confident prediction of TA counsel, Tim Collins, before the 'rescind' was rescinded by CWCapital in January. We feel President Clinton is best suited to figure out how to explain all this to tenants and how the MCI settlement reached between the TA and CWCapital is a victory for tenants and affordable housing."

The surprise presence of the former president came about due to a personal connection one member of the TA staff has with former Secretary of State and former New York State Senator Hillary Clinton.

Donations to the Tenants Association can be made at www.stpcvta.org/donate/.

Brilliant.
Maybe someone can explain to the TA the meaning of the word jackhammer. They said at their TA meeting there would be no jackhammers on the office construction but we have had jackhammers for weeks and today is even worse. The jackhammer noise is unbearable. Anyone know who to call to complain?

Jackhammers and Jackasses. That's life at Stuyvesant Town thanks to CWC/CR.

Took a look at the construction site and it is a very big mess. Neighbors say there are old pipes from gas factory and gas factory buildings dug up. They also say the ground surveyors last Spring seemed to be very young - student internship age. It is a very big toxic waste mess!

Parade tickets for all! Muah! Muah! Thank you TA!

Does the DEP or EPA (don't know the difference) know about the toxic construction site right under every tenant in the area's nose? I wonder if it's affecting the drinking water, which has never been too wholesome anyway?

How do these goon bastards get away with so much? Oh, I know. Thank you Dan.

@1:58 PM

What are you talking about? What toxic construction? I would like to know since the management office construction is in my back yard. And please provide some hard evidence, not just random speculation.

And Garodnick got the city to audit the mgmt office build and all the various agencies signed off on it. I don't like it, you don't like it but it's legal and there's nothing garodnick could do to stop this mess from happening short of waving a magic wand.

See Facebook site and the tenant who slipped in vomit PHOTOS in her building.

PUT IT ON YELP. SEND TO DEPT OF HEALTH.

this place is gross. At this point, I would not even want my college kids to rent here. Ew.

I went by the office site last week. The workers showed us this big underground pipe they were going to break open (close to the 18th street side). 4:51 the evidence is right there in your back yard.

I just checked the "Big Dig" site and see that it hasn't been updated in months.

The Big Dig site went silent when the contamination was unearthed.

This one tops it all in terms of how disgusting this place has become. Someone let their dog take a crap by just outside and just outside the locked lobby door today and just left it there. It is situated such that you have to be very lucky NOT to step in it! Lobby stinks. I called 2 hours ago to get maintenance to clean this up. They said they would send someone right over. Shit is still there. Disgusting dog owner neighbors and , of course, non responsive management. Luxury housing at its finest!

I absolutely cannot wait to get out of this toxic dump. Having Bill (if it's true) on our side is no consolation whatsoever!

My money would be on Hillary. She's the one with the BALLS!

Don't agonize, organize!

The piles of cigarette butts outside the doors of both entrances to our building is disgusting. Its like walking through an ashtray just to get inside.

You know how you can tell right away that this Bill Climton piece is a parody? Because no one, not Bill Clinton, not George Clinton, not Aquaman or Superman is coming to save anyone from this mess.

Our best hope is that someone actually gets permission to proceed with that hundred year old plan to drain and fill in the East River, extend all of Manhattans crosstown streets using elevated skyways into Brooklyn and Queens, and build affordable housing and retail underneath it all on the dried up river bed below.

The more you follow this sad and sordid ST/PCV soap opera, the more realistic and desirable that crazy sounding idea becomes.

5:33--If you wouldn't let your college kids rent here, then why do you live here? They obviously come back home to visit you, so they did live here within the last couple/few years. And you still do?

I live here since it's cheap as hell for me. Duh.

I don't have college kids, I'M S AYING IF I DID, LIKE SO MANY OTHER PARENTS do and HAVE BEEN SENDING THEIR KIDS HERE AND PAYING THEIR renT AS it is a total dorm now.

I would NOT EVEN. It's that low.

This place is an absolute JOKE!!!!
Why someone would spend market rate money on this place is beyond me.

12;11 pm. Where would you like them to go? It's not like the rest of Manhattan any cheaper, cleaner or better. Go.Take a look.

Bill's got to worry about Monica Lewinsky who just went public about her affair after years of silence,"surprisingly" shortly before Hillary is supposed to make her announcement about whether she will grace us by running for President

Now that you trashed my good name and distorted my legal advice by implying in your more recent posts that I promised a permanent recission of the MCI increases (contrary to your own characterization of my statements back in November and any reasonable interpretation of the audio tapes), and now that I fully explained my position and responded to questions re the MCI settlement at the May 10th meeting, perhaps you will issue a public apology.

It is the honorable thing to do.

I will review everything over the weekend and post my response. If an apology needs to be made, I will make it.
