STR posts, the world shakes

Perhaps my "Stuy Town is a Disaster" post from last week has produced some movement on the part of management. The chess board area between Oval Cafe and Oval Study that I complained about is now under demolition as I write this.

Now, here's the question: What is going to take its place?

Please choose one:

1) New chess tables and chess area.
2) Nothing. Management, pissed, is telling STR and residents: "Take that, bitches!"
3) Vending machines.
4) Student housing.

How about the overcharges then and what about the scummy accounting department with the faux extra fees on my rent bill - you can't get same person or any person on the phone!

Removing the chess tables.? How many decades were they there? Why not have a community chess tournament? Oh, the bros and hos prefer happy hour to a game of intellect.

Pissy spiteful immature property management temps. STR is telling truths and that pisses the temps off.

The creation of "servicers" is for developers to rip off banks, rip tenants out of homes, and steal land. If servicers didn't have the backing of corrupt politicians we would be safe in our homes. And we could focus our energy on helping our kids, our own and this poor teen who jaywalked just to catch a bus.

http://gawker.com/video-four-california-cops-slam-crying-black-teen-to-g-1731552714

There are important matters that need attention but these New York politicians are tying up our time fighting to stay in our homes. The time is now for the politicians to stop putting our homes in jeopardy.

Since Cuomo controls the city and state DHCR, DOB, city and state agencies, commissions, panels, ethics authorities, and judges, the only option left is a federal case on this real estate scam that killed a community of 30,000 people.

Wiping out the population of a small city (by definition) surely is national news and a federal case.

Meet the students living in million-dollar dorms

This is the money the politicians are drooling over with their vision to kick out working class constituents for one percenter students and their parents pied a terres. Politicians will do anything to get their hands on the money from NYU real estate dorm scandals including ruining our homes and lives. Foreigners pied a terre studio dorms in PCVST.

http://nypost.com/2015/09/17/meet-the-students-that-are-living-in-million-dollar-dorms/

Meet the students living in million-dollar dorms
It’s not uncommon for dorm-decorating budgets to total in the tens of thousands of dollars. After a Canadian couple’s daughter got admitted to NYU, they bought a one-bedroom apartment near Gramercy Park. Then Taylor Spellman, founder and partner of interior design firm August Black, got a call to make the space suitable for a student — with a $60,000 budget for renovations and the directive that it would eventually double as a pied-à-terre.

This is not just where I’m going to get wasted, it’s where I’m going to study, too.’”

Thanks Dan Garodnick, Michael Novogratz, Ken Langone and your BFF Andrew Cuomo, Scott Stringer, Brad Hoylman, Christine Quinn and all who kicked us residents out of the room and let NYU in on your City Council vote.

This is not visionary. This is robbery.

In my humble opinion, the " Grand Plan" is coming to an end & the true reason for all this upheaval will soon be revealed. Just an opinion. Not sure what the end result will be but I am sure we will be the last to know. I always believed ST & PCV will be divided & sold off as 2 separate entities. I guess time will tell. Thank you STR for all your work & help for keeping us in the loop. Keep on posting.

There's another possibility concerning the removal of the chess tables, if they are not going to be replaced with new ones: A separate seating extension of Oval Cafe, for "residents and their guests" only, of course. Such a possibility could put the zoning code in jeopardy, however.

Anonymous said...

STR,

I also thought about this construction of having to do with the so called "Resident Amenity" Oval Cafe as well. The Playground 11 chess tables are untouched. For now. As far as I am concerned since, like the Farmer's Market, since there are no signs or screening for "residents and their guests", the Oval Cafe is already a commercial establishment that is in violation of the zoning law. But don’t tell that to Danny boy, he patronizes the shithole.

Anonymous said...

Whatever they are doing they are changing the configuration of the property and the Oval despite that Dan Garodncik and Brad Hoylman said they would not let that happen if we voted for them in the last election.

How much of our city pension is Scott Stringer investing in predatory equity?

Just how much of our city funds is Scott Stringer investing in those who are tearing apart our communities, including Canadian company Brookfield Asset Management and all its forms and names?

http://atlanticyardsreport.blogspot.com/2009/02/avoiding-ay-example-schick-former-esdc.html

Pension funds and "predatory equity"

Just a year ago, the shoe was very much on the other foot. Housing advocates had discovered that city pension funds had a stake in "predatory equity" investment funds that were buying rent-regulated buildings on the expectation that they could dislodge tenants and jack up rents--a tactic that has proven to be very unsustainable.

(See the example of Stuyvesant Town/Peter Cooper Village, which was bought by Tishman Speyer--not predatory equity--as detailed in New York magazine.)

What emerged was a new residential real estate investment principle, involving an effort to ensure fair treatment of tenants; the creation of a process in which the pension funds opted out of sketchy properties; and an effort to pursue Economically Targeted Investment (ETI) Programs.

The goal was "a market rate of return that is commensurate with the risk assumed, to fill capital gaps in New York City, and to provide specific quantitative or qualitative benefits to New York City and, in particular, its low-, moderate- and middle-income communities and populations."

Yes, that's a market intervention, and thus subject to scrutiny. But the beneficiaries would not be the Mort Zuckerman's of the world.

Anonymous said...

Garodnick would help them get away with zoning problems. Again.

To the earlier commentator, Cuomo is working Biden and Biden was just at an appearance with Preet Bharara's boss Loretta Lynch. Cuomo wants Lynch to put politics before Justice and sorry to be the one to say it, she more than likely will or already has.

Nobody cared about chess then, and nobody cares about chess now. Want to play chess?

It would be decent of them to donate the chess tables to a park or senior center but knowing these types of people they destroyed them.

Stuy Town Reporter said...

Actually, the chess tables are used...for chess. Certainly the ones on the other side of the Oval are chiefly used, but I have seen chess playing at the RIP chess tables last week, and by different people.

Anonymous said...

2:44 pm: maybe I misunderstood your post, but the TS acquisition of PCVST did involve pension funds. CALPERS and the Church of England pension funds were used to help "fund" that predatory investment/rape.

Beer pong tables!!!!

Stuy Town Reporter said...

The chess tables are still standing as of late afternoon; the workers have left. Many of the ground slabs are gone, however, and the area is cordoned off.

Anonymous said...

This truly sucks (the eventual taking down of the playground 9 chess tables for what, an addition to the Oval Cafe?) but it's so typical of CR, start a major landscape construction job on a FRIDAY! BTW, even if not playing chess, it's mostly long term tenants, middle age and senior, who hang at the chess tables. Can't have that in the NYU/millennial ghetto otherwise known as PCVST.

Stuy Town Reporter said...

Let's not jump the gun. The area could be "refreshed" with the chess tables still there or replaced by new ones. One does wonder how long the project, whatever it is, will take.

Anonymous said...

Speaking of "the world shakes," it looks like there was a mini earthquake there. But then, ever since CR took over the entire property looks like it has been shaken up by an earthquake. I've never seen the place look so disgustingly unkempt and neglected. It seems to me that this poor excuse for a management only knows how to destroy anything of beauty and replace it with utter crap. When will they be going away?

Anonymous said...

http://www.yelp.com/biz/stuyvesant-oval-new-york

Ripping up the Oval has not led to anything good.

Wildlife is gone, no more bird migration when PCVST used to be a premium bird watching site, the squirrels are disappearing (their homes demolished with each tree killed and others buried by construction workers). The glorious tall tree park is now a concert arena as if NYC didn't have enough and better concert arenas and event spaces.

There was nothing like the Oval tree park, it was unique peaceful serenity, but now it is like every other overdeveloped loud beerfest mardi gras superbowl party.

Who is catering these commercial food and drink drunken events where once there was a tall tree of breezy clean nature-space, in the corner of the Oval? Who has those contracts for those events, Petite Abeille? Vamos? Chipotle?

How long have they been getting away with running these restaurant food spaces where there is no permit for such thanks to Dan? They are selling and serving catered food in a residential zone. The only way to go to these so called free food events is to pay monthly to belong to Oval Amenities so the food is not free.

The amount students pay is less than the amount residents pay and that is not fair to the residents. The gym charges students less than residents and that is not fair to the residents.

Doubtful tearing the chess area is for refreshing with a history of any ripping up being for events.

Expanding indoor eating events to the outdoors? They already did that with the office bunker with the eating area for the property management when they decreased the tenant's open space for the bunker and put in tables so the office-workers have a nice eating area for themselves.

Compass Rock, the Tenant Association and Dan are running food restaurants in our residential zone!

Compass Rock, the Tenant Association and Dan Garodnick are discriminating against working class residents charging us more than students for goods and services in their PCV ST businesses!

Good call. It is the same con game as 25 Broad Street.

A con that can only happen if:
IF / WHEN Schneiderman uses the Office of New York Attorney General to finish what Cuomo started in that office in exchange for something to advance his own political career.
IF / WHEN Viverito uses the position of City Council Speaker to finish the deal Quinn and her city council made with NYU, in exchange for Viverito's special interests that benefit her career. The entire city council under Quinn agreed to the deal and to the con of telling PCV ST residents to let the property development occur in exchange for an opportunity to buy our apartments. The financial reports, obvious DOB bribe scam, and rent roll and property price are exposing their con on PCV ST.
IF / WHEN Wright uses his Assembly office to evade a discovery period on the Riverton lawsuit against CW in exchange for something for his legacy

Schneiderman, Viverito, Wright, are prioritizing what is best for their careers and in Wright's case his so-called legacy, at the expense of what is best for constituents.

An all too common con game by REBNY and Politicians we have seen before.

We can do better next election. There are people better suited for office, lesser known names, who will use the elected Office for the People.

All the incumbents are BAD NEWS.

The incessant jackhammering all day Friday to rip up the concrete around the chess tables is another example of management's complete disregard for QLL issues here in Stuy Town. The chess tables are INDEED used by many. They should NOT be removed. What is the purpose of ripping up the cement around the soon-to-be eliminated ( I hope not ) chess area. Another illegal commercial endeavor perhaps? Just for residents and their guests of course...lol. What a colossal waste of time and money on the part of management. By the way the workers are non-union paid a pittance by the money-hungry ghouls who are destroying this place. As usuaul a royal f-you to Compass Cock, CW Capital, Tishman-Speyer, and all the scumbag pols who feed off of this once, no longer, great oasis in the city.

City electeds OWE residents an honest and clear answer on the City's take in this takeover of PCVST.

The PCVST deal has components the city gets in exchange for allowing the takeover.

They are ruining our homes, quality of life and uprooting our lives. The City gets a piece of the deal which is why none of the past and current council and elected are helping to keep PCVST residents in our homes.

It is why they are going a step further and helping the process of removing us from our homes by rigging FOB and TPU.

It is why every elected and city rep says -- if you want to buy your apartment you have to allow the DOB and Dan to develop and commercialize.

So Mayor Bill De Blasio what is your "take" that you get for NYC as clearly NYC is an integral role in taking away our homes, the place we raise our families where our kids once grew up in a safe, clean environment that no longer exists here.

The destruction of the Oval tree park was an act of pure evil. What has it gained for them? How much profit have they made by turning the once-beautiful tree park into a scruffy lawn? Those shitty summer "concerts" can't bring in much revenue, especially as they are free and they have to pay to set them up. They have to pay to keep the lawn (such as it is) maintained. The tree park was the best thing about Stuyvesant Town and was what made the property unique. The trees provided shade and provided homes for birds and squirrels and was beautiful and restful for humans just to have it to enjoy.

The TA never raised its voice against the wanton destruction of the Oval and I don't what their quid pro quo was. Garodnick didn't raise his voice either. I hope and pray that Garodnick and the TA just go away one day. I will never, ever vote for him or any of the corrupt cadre of politicians who have contributed to the destruction of Stuyvesant Town and destroyed the quality of life here. Greedy, corrupt, avaricious bastards is all that they are.

Compass Rock and CW Capital created an unsustainable business model.

Langone NYU Medical is using FEMA money Schumer got for Langone to build a new live animal testing lab.

http://nyulangone.org/files/Animal_Imaging_RFP_Final_0.pdf

for reference on what animal imaging is:
http://animalimagingresearch.com/

Senator Schumer is that really what you intended when you got all that federal Hurricane Sandy money for Ken Langone? A brand new live animal testing laboratory?

The federal government and FEMA is giving money for Ken Langone to build a knew lab for himself for testing on live animals, while humans are still struggling to rebuild their hurricane damaged homes and received next to nothing from FEMA for the hurricane's damage.

Do we really need anymore animal testing labs?

Does Ken Langone need a brand new shiny cruel animal testing lab?

Is that what FEMA money is intended for?

Shouldn't FEMA money go to people who lost their homes, cars, personal belongings before it builds an animal testing lab which frankly everyone is catching on that animal testing labs are cruel and produce zero usable learning to cure anything for over fifty years. Animal testing is used to create (and often falsely create) statistics to pass FDA for marketing pharmaceuticals. It is all for marketing, not curing.

Senator Schumer did yo intend on FEMA money used for animal testing labs?

Anonymous said...

A better use of FEMA money, then for a Langone animal testing lab, is reimbursing the Veteran's Hospital for it's costs to cover Dan's ill-advised decision to build a playground before a flood wall.

Anonymous said...

A better use of FEMA money then for new Langone animal testing lab is to give it to the struggling homeowners, police and firefighters, and all working class citizens in Long Island who lost everything and have yet to be able to afford to rebuild.

Anonymous said...

There are so many better uses and more important ones to be prioritized before allocating a billion dollars for Langone to use it to build himself an animal testing lab.
Senator Schumer please reprioritize your allocation of FEMA money to more moral places.

We do not need to dig up toxic subsurface contamination in Peter Cooper Village Stuyvesant Town only to have NYU Langone Medical Center getting business when we and our children fall ill.

We do not need to give federal aid to new animal laboratories when there are enough existing (and too many) and they yield no cures, only treatments that yield profits.

We don't need to put people's homes at risk so Wall Street and REBNY can make billions more on top of the billions they have, leaving the working class destitute.

We do not need government's reckless spending on building British bank Russian financed Ratner's Barclay Centers and Nassau coliseums entertainment centers when our own government can't or wont implement laws that keep us and or homes safe from predators. We do not need to be entertained. We need to be protected from predators.

Those things will only change if we stop voting for the incumbents who are causing all the problems we have. The incumbent's priorities, bribe taking, and status quo is killing the Middle Class.

BTW, biggest waste of space are those 2 hour limit bike stands opposite the First Avenue Bunker that took away some useful parking spaces. Went by them last Friday around 1 PM, no bikes. At the EV Grieve blog, someone posted how EV real estate brokers don’t want to see anyone unless they are millennials since they know that they have, at maximum, a 2 year expiration date. Some rational by CR for PCVST as well.

"CW's upcoming sale is a buyers beware! ... Tenants must not buy into this set up. They are using us."

-----

Like it or not, ignorant or not, wanting it or not ... PCVST tenants "are" the sale. Garodnick/TA deception pretending they represent us and act in our best interests keeping us ignorant about leverage we hold (100% RS + exclusive access to Fannie/Freddie billions) is the key opening a door to 100% ownership/control of PCVST by REBNY predators completing Speyer's business plan and, other than a tiny affordable legacy quotient, fully realizing his vision to exploit and extract multiple billion dollar windfalls out of PCVST. The biggest upfront windfall derives from unqualified REBNY predators inappropriately procuring Fannie/Freddie purchase billions to own/control PCVST again, this time via phony tenant led purchase scam relying on Garodnick and TA deception. So far, they are succeeding.

PCVST tenants, along with Mayor de Blasio, hold exclusive access to Fannie/Freddie purchase funding that back in 2010 could have delivered a genuine tenant led purchase delivering genuine tenant led ownership/control of the entire PCVST complex without the completely unnecessary predatory REBNY partner/intermediary hidden inside a Trojan horse that Garodnick and the TA needlessly forced into our transaction. PCVST tenants are being cheated out of their opportunities diverted to REBNY predators. Mayor de Blasio shares our exclusive access to Fannie/Freddie billions. He's seen the Garodnick-TA-Brookfield plan withheld from us. It seems our mayor is willing to trade away PCVST and our homes to REBNY predators if they offer him something equivalent someplace else that he will claim is new or preserved affordable. We are pawns our mayor will sacrifice for a promise REBNY will never honor.

Anyone convinced Garodnick and the TA not talking about their disgraceful betrayal - diverting to REBNY predators our exclusive access to Fannie/Freddie billions and our opportunity to own/control the PCVST complex as a formidable owners association and affordably purchase our individual homes - means their scam is dead is an ostrich planting their head underground avoiding reality. It's happening right now.

I think that Langone is a very evil man. I know a lot of doctors and professors affiliated with NYU and if I ask them what they think of Langone they literally shudder and curl their lips as if I'd asked what they think of Putin, Hitler, Stalin or someone like that. The usual response is "terrible man."

Anonymous said...

If it is happening right now then that is ahead of their schedule and something scared them into premature action. What scares them? Harassment lawsuits on false golub claims? What panicked the rush to steal the Fannie Freddie billions?

Is this what de Blasio wants his legacy to be - the NYC Mayor who during his career in city council, public advocate then Mayor orchestrated the biggest mass destruction of the Middle Working Class?

There is nothing REBNY can trade that will ever cover that legacy. The man was city council, then Public Advocate, then Mayor and he chose to do nothing to stop the destruction and everything to assist it.

I think Langone is evil too. The whole Hitler quote last year said all we need to know of that man.

The Real Estate industry crossed boundaries of morality, becoming an organized criminal enterprise. Organized criminals who bribe politicians, launder money, steal homes. And we aren't even in a third world country or Russia where such corruption is widely known.

There used to be a very old saying "you can't steal a house" yet this criminal industry developed a way to steal millions of houses. It takes a lot of bribed politicians to pull that off.

Exactly right, we are busy not stupid and lazy -- working and raising families and because corrupt operators are rigging the system we are having to fight battles on things that are basic human rights.

Cuomo and Langone are the center of Peter Cooper Village Stuyvesant Town community's total destruction from obliteration of Open Spaces and Tree Park to ripping 10,000 families out of homes. Their high level of arrogance renders them stupidly believing PCVST residents would fall for their scam.

In an earlier post a commentator had links to Langone bragging how he "happen to know" the person standing behind Spitzer in the post office as he purchased money orders for prostitutes, (in Langone's quest to takeover the Governor's office for Cuomo).

Doubtful Langone happen to know who was behind Spitzer in the Post Office -- more likely he had Spitzer followed by the people who then were behind Spitzer in the Post Office, to spy on Spitzer's every move. His moves may have been vulgar, yet Langone's are worse.

Langone needed the Governor's office to get the bedpan alley through PCVST land, and that meant he needed Cuomo in it. Langone needed Quinn or Stringer as Mayor but had to settle for next best position with Stringer as controller and not Spitzer; and needed Garodnick as at least in city council but they (Cuomo and Langone) aimed for Speaker. Schneiderman in Office of Attorney General was a sure thing to finish Cuomo's work for Langone approving the PCVST deal and slowing/blocking tenant complaints of frauds. Although Quinn was a sure bet to finish Bloomberg's RE work the People pushed back and voted NO on Quinn and YES on De Blasio with the hope he would deliver on his campaign promises.

Langone buys Political Offices and puts in politicians who will use that Office to do his dirty work (thank you to the earlier commentator on Langone's plan for filling the Federal government office with his chosen operatives).

The Stringer / Garodnick musical-chairs deal they played with political offices was designed by Cuomo / Langone. A deal made so they could steal PCVST among other things for Langone, NYU, REBNY and the dirty NYU deal the Quinn Council made.

De Blasio was right to back Viverito fighting against Cuomo's brazen and loud vested interest push to get Garodnick as Speaker. That would have been unimaginably more disastrous.

THE PCVST DEAL IS A DIRTY DEAL BY PEOPLE WHO PLAY DIRTY SO NOTHING STANDS IN THE WAY OF GETTING WHAT THEY WANT - NOT EVEN 30,000 WORKING CLASS HUMAN BEINGS.

FEMA money is not meant for construction expansion projects for billionaires.

Outrageously Despicable each time Senator Schumer pretends he is disgusted by the lack of money and resources causing the slowness of Long Islander's getting back on their feet while he is giving a billion FEMA dollars to a billionaire for construction expansion.

Shame on Senator Chuck Schumer! SHAME SHAME

Here is Senator Chuck Schumer's email link to tell him it is unethical and immoral to use Federal Assistance FEMA money to build a new lab for Ken Langone and an unethical and immoral cruel animal torture lab at that!

FEMA money is not meant for construction expansion projects for billionaires.

Never ever voting for Senator Schumer for anything ever again and God help us all with him taking over as Senate Leader from Harry Reid. God help us all!

Schumer gave over a billion dollars to Ken Langone in a sketchy way -- in a lump sum and requiring no receipts!

NYU Langone Medical Center to Get $1.13 Billion in Storm Aid

By ANEMONA HARTOCOLLISJULY 29, 2014
http://www.nytimes.com/2014/07/30/nyregion/30nyu.html?_r=0

NYU Langone Medical Center, which was badly damaged by Hurricane Sandy and had to be evacuated, will receive $1.13 billion in recovery aid, the second-largest award for a single project in the history of the Federal Emergency Management Agency, hospital and federal officials said on Tuesday.

The award will be used to restore damaged buildings and to protect the medical center, which is by the East River, from future flooding, through the installation of interior flood doors and barriers, reinforced walls, seals and pumps.

In a break with past practice, the award will be delivered in a lump sum in advance, rather than bit by bit as repairs are made and receipts are submitted.

Senator Charles E. Schumer, Democrat of New York, who helped negotiate the award, said the new system of payment was put into the Hurricane Sandy relief bill to give institutions the confidence not to skimp on needed repairs. Congress appropriated more than $50 billion for relief after the 2012 storm.

Maybe a boycott of Home Depot and NYU/Langone would be helpful if we could get one organized. I think NYU lost all of its integrity the day they stuck the name of that evil creature on its nameplate! It turns my stomach just to see that name. There are plenty of other just as good, if not better, hospitals and medical practitioners in New York than this shitty institution.

Anyone distracted?

Senator Schumer gave us exclusive access to Fannie/Freddie purchase funding amounting to billions of dollars (plural - more than one - more than he gave to NYU Langone) so we could fight off REBNY predators, own the PCVST complex ourselves, affordably purchase our individual homes and restore PCVST to as close a condition as it was before Speyer (brookfield).

Our Fannie/Freddie ownership opportunities were/are being stripped away from us by Garodnick and the TA diverting them to major REBNY predator Brookfield (speyer).

Shouldn't we be writing to Schumer about the corrupt scandal going down at PCVST that will disgracefully and wrongfully deliver the same Fannie/Freddie billions, 100% PCVST ownership/control AND OUR HOMES!!! - AGAIN!!! - right back into the claws of the same REBNY predators provided a 2nd opportunity to boot us out of our homes and destroy our community? - AGAIN!!!

We are voting human beings. Shouldn't we be asking Schumer to help us save our homes from REBNY predators - AGAIN!!! - before asking him to stop REBNY, NYU and Langone experimenting on monkeys someplace else several blocks away from our homes?

1. Schumer gave Garodnick and the TA the Fannie Freddie money, they didnt take it. Schumer gave it to NYULangone via the GarodnickTABrookfield scam. Schumer's brother is Co-head at Paul Weiss Rifkind who is doing the deal for GarodnickTA. Schumer did not get the money from FannieFreddie for tenants, he got it for his brother's deal. STR posted that months ago, everyone knows this. The Schumer brothers got caught up in another deal and Chuck had to recuse himself after they got caught.
http://dealbook.nytimes.com/2014/02/18/schumer-recuses-himself-from-review-of-comcast-deal/?_r=0

2. It is not an one or the other. And it is not necessary to do only one or the other. WE can write to the Senator to protect us from predatory RE but the Senator showed he is in on the BrookfieldPaul Weiss Garodnick TA deal so it will be a waste of a stamp, but sure we can do that to. We can also write to him about his unethical and probably illegal use of FEMA money given with no receipts required for Ken Langone to use however he sees fit, $1.3billion.

There is nothing wrong with writing to save those beyond ourselves and frankly that is why they say do unto others as you would have done to you.

If you don't help others then others won't help you.

Whether or not you want to save animals, the way the money was given and the way Langone is using it sure seems illegal.

IF PCVST HAD A REAL TA WE WOULD HAVE BOYCOTTED HOME DEPOT FOR THE DESTRUCTION OF OUR COMMUNITY.
I COMPLETELY AGREE WITH THE ABOVE COMMENTS, AND AM BOYCOTTING HOME DEPOT FOR THE ASSAULT ON OUR COMMUNITY AND THE ANIMAL TESTING LAB TOO!

It is proven those who abuse animals abuse people too. Writing Schumer to help animals helps people too. Langone is disgusting and evil.

There are some interesting remarks on the STPCV Conversion Open Forum page. I suspect that the poster of those comments (who sounds very knowledgable) also posts here on STR. Interestingly, there are NEVER any comments or information posted on the TA website or the TA Facebook page! All the TA seems to be interested in is collecting dues and getting people to sign their stupid pledge. I am so disappointed in the TA. It is has become totally corrupted by Garodnick and his Brookfield masters.

It is true that it has been proven that all sociopaths (serial killers, child killers, etc.) have a history of abusing animals. They are incapable of feeling any empathy or sympathy toward their victims and are lacking in some brain substance that controls feelings of guilt, conscience, empathy and compassion. Pretty much sums up most of our politicians and all of the Langones of this world! Langone gives a lot to charity, but I think that is an attempt to buy himself honors that he doesn't deserve. He's got some sort of Knighthood in the Catholic Church - and we all know that that has everything to do with giving the church money and nothing to do with being a decent person. Buying honors - and forgiveness - from the Catholic Church has been going on since the days of Chaucer! I believe that had more to do with the Protestant Reformation than Henry VIII's multiple marriages did!

"Schumer gave Garodnick and the TA the Fannie Freddie money, they didnt take it. ... Schumer did not get the money from FannieFreddie for tenants, he got it for his brother's deal. STR posted that months ago, everyone knows this."

Not a fan of Senator Schumer, but he came through for PCVST residents big time.

If unqualified Brookfield (speyer) wrongfully procures Fannie/Freddie billions AGAIN to own/control PCVST and our homes AGAIN it will happen because we allowed it to happen by failing to develop and rally around a superior, tenant friendly alternative. Hell, anything's superior to getting conned into buying our homes for Brookfield at cost, then having Brookfield turn around selling our homes back to us for much higher prices than the overwhelming majority of us could ever possibly afford to pay.

With all due respect to STR, every conceivable conspiracy gets posted. Link to where Schumer supports the Garodnick-TA-Brookfield condo scam. He always said Fannie/Freddie billions are set aside exclusively for "tenants and NYC." Garodnick-TA pretending tenants support them diverting Fannie/Freddie away from us to Brookfield doesn't mean Schumer supports their scheme. Schumer never endorsed or even mentions the Brookfield scam. In fact, no politician ever mentions Brookfield in his presence. He's from NYC. He's around longer than dirt. He's seen everything. He knows the REBNY scandal going down at PCVST and isn't participating. The Garodnick-TA betrayal is too blatantly, disgustingly, NYC obvious.

Schumer gave us unprecedented opportunity and financial wherewithal to own the entire PCVST complex and affordably own our homes. If Garodnick-TA-Brookfield successfully snatches our opportunity away from us, it's because we let them snatch it away from us by doing nothing about it.

As far as Schumer's brother is concerned, he's already been burned for failing to avoid a Paul Weiss conflict and won't get burned twice for the same conflict. He will not intercede on behalf of his brother. Otherwise, employing a senator's brother is a guilt by association liability for Paul Weiss.

Schumer's hands are clean on this one.

Absolutely distracted.

Save the monkeys from evil Langone and they will save us from REBNY predators owning Garodnick and the TA.

Our exclusive access to Fannie/Freddie billions will fund any proposal we (and Mayor de Blasio) see fit and approve that's in our best interests. Instead, we have Garodnick and the TA acting in major REBNY predators Brookfield's (speyer's) best interests delivering multi-billion dollar windfalls to major REBNY predators Brookfield (speyer) and force feeding unaffordable condos down our throats delivering yet another multi-billion dollar windfall to major REBNY predators Brookfield (speyer). Under Garodnick-TA representation and leadership the overwhelming majority of us are guaranteed to be the final middle class PCVST residents living in our historic PCVST apartments conceived and built for middle class residents.

In the event Garodnick and the TA successfully scam you into buying your home for major REBNY predators Brookfield (speyer) and successfully provide those same REBNY predators Speyer (brookfield) with their 2nd opportunity to boot you out of it, and they do successfully boot you out of it, will you still cry for monkeys experimented on by Langone 10 blocks north of the place you once called home?

Inequality by Senator Chuck Schumer and Ken Langone

Giving taxpayer dollars to the richest and not to the middle class or poor / those who serve them. The rich do not have to fulfill the same requirements as working class to get FEMA money nor do they have to provide insurance information and receipts.

More FEMA grants to NYU controversy, dirty hands giving FEMA money to the richest private hospital and not to the public hospitals who got little to no FEMA money, and those who opposed Schumer's Inequality in his allocation of FEMA money.

http://www.nbcnewyork.com/investigations/I-TEAM-FEMA-Grants-to-NYU-Questioned--189090071.html

"Today, with the help of taxpayer dollars, the hospital is almost fully operational. Political leaders have praised the swift infusion of cash, but some victims of the storm say it exposes a gaping inequity in the way FEMA handles federal disaster grants.

Individuals with flooded homes cannot get FEMA disaster grants until all of their private insurance claims have been settled, but that same rule does not apply to large institutions like NYU Medical Center, even though they have private insurance contracts in the hundreds of millions of dollars.

“I can’t get that money, because I have a flood policy and I did the right thing by paying my premiums,” said Jeff Greenberg, an East Rockaway storm victim whose home was destroyed by Sandy."

FEMA Grants to NYU Questioned By Chris Glorioso and Tom Burke

Did NYU Langone 's insurance cover Sandy damage? Did the taxpayer dollars from Schumer cover new construction? YES
