Our landlord, BLACKSTONE, can't handle Stuy Town and Peter Cooper Village. There is a lack of enforcement of certain "rules," and no amount of notice to this alleviates the problems. We are continually being told half-truths and fabrications. And we have no viable Tenants organization, despite our TA asking for dues all the time. So far, the politicians have proven to be basically useless. A typical New York story.

Give Back Extell "Poor Door" Campaign Donations Petition
Here's the petition:
https://www.change.org/p/bill-de-blasio-give-back-extell-poor-door-campaign-donations
Unfortunately only Cuomo and de Blasio are included. Some other politicians we know should have been included, like our REBNY friendly councilman Dan Garodnick, who has received Extell donations in the past (of course!).
BTW, I came across this article about how big donors get around the city's campaign donation limits. Disgusting:
http://voicesofny.org/2014/05/big-donors-get-around-nyc-campaign-curbs/
"Woloz also raised $33,850 from many of the same sources for Manhattan City Councilman Daniel Garodnick who at the time was viewed as a strong contender to become the next speaker of the council...."
Stringer is mentioned in this article, too.

How anyone in this neighborhood can support Dan Garodnick is beyond me!! The facts are everywhere... the writing is on the wall... he owes his soul to REBNY.
Now Lois Weiss at the Post has more details about those air rights bandied about in previous sale discussions:
Blackstone has tucked away air rights that could be worth some $625 million.
While the majority of the air rights — roughly 1 million square feet — will be transferred somewhere over the city’s rainbow through a new entity, Blackstone also retained 250,000 feet of air rights within a Stuyvesant Town associated LLC.
These include 200,000 square feet for a community facility, 25,000 square feet for residential and 25,000 square feet for commercial use.
But before residents and elected officials freak out, Blackstone sources said the company is sticking with its promise and will not build anything else on site. The executives spoke on condition of anonymity and explained the deed filings merely divvied up the air rights between various entities.
Shame Shame Shame on greedy Stringer, Garodnick, De Blasio, Cuomo for segregation in the 21st century.
Crooks
desperate, “He’s like a chicken without a head; you never know which direction he’s going to turn, and he’s frantic
Cuomo was also described as “desperately’’ seeking allies within his own Democratic Party to be part of an anti-de Blasio coalition, after having alienated many of them by his “bullying’’ and “contemptuous’’ treatment.
frantically driven to increase his record-low approval ratings, obsessed with defeating Mayor Bill de Blasio in 2017, and “edgily nervous’’ about US Attorney Preet Bharara’s next move,
The sources, all Democrats, also talked at length about what they said was the governor’s escalating penchant in speeches and press releases for self-laudatory, over-the-top rhetoric, which may have reached its apex New Year’s Day in an email to thousands of followers of his campaign committee’s website.
Quipped a prominent Democrat: “Why’d he stop with ‘capital of the world’? Why not the ‘progressive capital of all the galaxies’?”
HE IS LOSING IT
Some Democrats used words like “weird’’ and “embarrassing’’ to describe Cuomo’s relatively recent policy of issuing press releases urging the public to be careful as a routine snowstorm or other seasonally inclement weather is forecast.
Democrats have even begun joking about what overstated claims they expect Cuomo to make during the traditional State of the State Address on Jan. 13 — mentioning such possibilities as “New York is now corruption-free,” “I’ve ended global warming,” and “I can be mayor and the governor at the same time.”

Extell donations to Cuomo while he was Attorney general and then Governor is just the tip of the dirty iceberg. And even if the Governor, Mayor and Attorney General gave the money back, they already did the dirty favorable favors for their real estate buddies.
"The $76,000 in recent Fisher Brothers-related donations to Cuomo is on top of the more than $500,000 the company gave in 2011 to the Committee To Save New York, a pro-business lobby group created to push the governor’s agenda.
The contributions from the Fisher Brothers execs are just the latest to emerge in the controversy over five Manhattan properties that were singled out for tax breaks in a January bill. The Daily News reported last week that one of the other beneficiaries, Extell Development Co., gave $100,000 to Cuomo days before he signed the bill.

The Entire Democratic Party is CORRUPTED BY EXTELL GARY BARNETT
"Extell President Gary Barnett also donated $100,000 three weeks after the bill was signed to a state Democratic Party account that Cuomo was using to pay for ads pushing his agenda."
The DIRTY CORRUPT POLITICIANS who wrote the bills are taking the SHAGGY defense "It wasn't me" while they are not surprised by the tax breaks or opposed to the tax breaks. Clearly they knew the tax breaks are in the bills THEY WROTE!
"The lawmakers who drew it up the legislation insist they don’t know who inserted the tax breaks for the five developers into the bill."
EXTELL SUBPOENA is another REASON CUOMO ENDED MORELAND
"An anti-corruption commission created by Cuomo has subpoenaed the five companies. Cuomo tasked the commission with looking at the nexus between campaign donations and legislation."
Stuy Town is on its way to a poor door situation only it will be a "residential" door and a "guest" door for short term stays. That is Blackstone's forte. Blackstone fails at rentals, but excels at high-end hilton-like resorts. Just what the world needs, more high-end resort places and less affordable housing, the entire community of 35,000 people / families gone. The City and State, from Bloomberg to Cuomo and everyone in between cleared out the population of a small city.
Is this a joke? Under Cuomo and Blackstone Mulrow's supervision of Housing at least 50,000 apartments are illegally deregulated. Now after getting caught for their "see no evil, hear no evil, do no evil" pretense and the public outcry Cuomo wants the public to think he is a "superhero" returning the illegally deregulated apartments to rent stabilization or else there will be sanctions.
How about criminal prosecution for the "illegally" deregulated apartments? How about stopping them from getting illegally deregulated in the first place? After the first time? Or the second time? Or the 25,000 time? Isn't that what the head of Housing is supposed to do, stop these illegal things that are stealing family's homes?
There is a reason it is called "supervision" because it literally means "super vision", one who sees all. That includes seeing, hearing and doing all, the legal and the illegal things.
Under Cuomo and Mulrow's super vision, two men who consider themselves of the smartest on the planet, at least 50,000 homes were illegally deregulated. 50,000!
Cuomo is no superhero, he is a Super-Something-else!

Agree. These two are pretty bad, but what would be worse is if REBNY darlings Quinn or Stringer were Mayor or if REBNY darling Garodnick were Speaker.
The destruction of NYC that the incumbents (Hoylman, Garodnick, Cuomo, Brewer, Schneiderman, Stringer and the one voted OUT O-U-T OUT OUT OUt Quinn) put into action on behalf of REBNY is a runaway train set out to destroy small businesses and affordable middle class housing. They are the reason NYC is falling apart so they can rebuild higher and denser for the wealthy. NY housing crisis begins and ends with Cuomo and his right hand man former head of housing.
We successfully voted out Quinn, let's do it again and vote out the rest of them.
Indict and imprison the Corrupt and the Enablers. They are complicit. They are not Leaders and That is not Leadership!
Bharara had harsh words for New York's legislature, which he said has been by plagued by a "rancid culture" of bribery and kickbacks. Bharara's office has won convictions against a number of state lawmakers, including Silver and Skelos.
Albany lawmakers include many "honorable and ethical people," the prosecutor said, but legislators have done a poor job of self-policing against corruption.
"There's been a lot of enabling of corruption up there," Bharara said.
Lawmakers can combat corruption by supporting ethics committees, welcoming scrutiny and refusing to protect corrupt colleagues, he said.
"Looking the other way is not leadership," he said, referring to the problems in New York. "Blaming the prosecutors is not leadership. Kicking the can is not leadership. Accepting lies and half-truths is not leadership. Making excuses is not leadership. Whining is not leadership."

I totally agree with 2:40 pm. We have to get rid of these loathsome, corrupt politicians. I vow not to vote for any incumbents going forward.
