Management has two priorities: 1) Making sure money is made, hence upgrading and filling up apartments is their goal. "Amenities" are important in selling the place, though few residents use them. 2) If someone needs medical attention, Public Safety will be there, if alerted.

Quality of life issues are not that important, however. They tend to be ignored, despite "the rules." So you will see a lot that isn't taken care of properly, and complaints will be met with a creative excuse and a smile.

"Peace and quiet" must be a cruel joke, though this property is sold that way. There can be no peace and quiet as ALL apartments must be upgraded, which includes the installation of an AC unit below the window. Aside from the continual construction about the neighborhood, there is a new and noisy subway extension being built along East 14 st and the shut down of the L line. "Choosing" to live in NYC, now the newest mantra, is a fabrication when the talk is of ST and PCV, which was traditionally quiet, with no construction noise.

Though money was always important, it is now more important than ever. Money rules many things, as you will find.

At this point, 30 years into living here and seeing many things, I can state that Management and their reps are BS-ing us. I can't say that loudly enough: We are being BS-ed. I don't see any genuine change. Sorry.

Breaking News: Dan Wants You to Know...

Dear Neighbor,

I wanted to share the news that I was just selected as one of twelve leaders from across the country to join the NewDEAL, a national network that seeks to promote pro growth progressive leaders at the state and local levels.  The group is co-chaired by Senator Mark Begich of Alaska and Governor Martin O'Malley of Maryland, and I believe it will be a great opportunity to share ideas with like minded leaders from across the country.  I am honored to join the group, and you can read more about them here.

All the best,

Dan

We have an election next Tuesday and I just don't know who to vote for. I can't bring myself to vote for Astorino because he is a repulsive little man and a Republican to boot. Cuomo, with his wild eyes, aversion to debating the opposition and his affinity to Big RE, is not a very palatable candidate as far as I'm concerned. Maybe I should just sit this one out. I feel that vote for the Republican will be a step backwards in time, but a vote for Cuomo will be like putting the seal of approval on a corrupt thug.

I really wish that Teachout and Wu had got on the ballot. Those I could vote for with a clear conscience.

Indeed Danny G. is self-serving two-faced little weasel who is in bed with the mega real estate interests. Just look at the contributors to his campaign. It is public record. He who sits at the King's table whistles the King's tune. A royal f u to our councilman and, lest I forget, our impotent and laughable TA.
By the way, isn't the mega structure being put up on playground #11 lovely? Reminds me of the aircraft hangars they used as props in the old World War 2 movies....hahaha...what's next? Oval Brothels...gotta maximize those dineros...Happy Halloween all!

Not even sure Dan is well liked by the RE moguls. His 'plan' will never happen and he's not smart enough to know they're playing him.

Every year I get a letter asking me to be in Who's who in NY. All I have to do is send in a check for $100 to be included. Congratulations Dan...don't forget to send in your check.
