NYU Volleyball Event at Playground 11

http://nyugradhalls.tumblr.com/post/129026895485/what-volleyball-in-stuytown-date-sunday

Now, what happens if the volleyball courts are already taken by non-NYU grad students? Will they be asked to leave? Will admittance be only for NYU grad students? Will ST/PCV key-cards be checked?

UPDATE: Sunday, post-5:30pm. Well, it didn't turn out as anyone expected. LOL. Four very nice Asian students, two guys, two gals. That's it. No bros. No shouting. No beer hidden away somewhere. They could have used some more players! All is safe and secure.

That's said, there was NO ONE checking who entered Playground 11. One gets the feeling that CW is trying to save money everywhere.

Somewhat off topic, but I read in this week's T&V that there is a documentary about STPCV nearing completion. If it doesn't include the destruction of the Oval, gouging and harassment of tenants and all the rest of the horrors we have endured since MetLife sold us down the river to TS, then I don't think it will be a documentary worth completing. I hope it isn't going to be a saccharine on shit offering. We have the Leasing Office to do that.

If it is in the T&V then it will be a saccharine documentary for pr purposes to lie, deceive, cover up.

Rather rudely having a loud, ball slapping, whistle blowing, yelling screaming grunting volleyball tournament at family dinner time. Again family dinner time is the same as NYU happy hour and NYU is harassing us out of our peaceful quiet family homes.

I wish I could get away with breaking laws and receiving no penalty. How very corrupt we are now and with no shame.

Remember NYU engulfed and devoured Washington Square Park. Stuyvesant Oval next? as for today's volleyball event, I would venture to guess that all NYU students will be deemed welcome here for this by virtue of being guests of NYU residents (just as non-residents can now register for SuperSoccer and AppleSeeds as guests: no ID required.)

Stuy Town Reporter said...

You are correct, of course. The entire student population of NYU can show up at these events because they can be proclaimed "guests" by the ones who do live here. What a farce.

According to their tumblr, we have already missed out on some pizza parties, picnics, and more. Please be advised the graduate students are not permitted to bring artificial or real Christmas trees. Of course as stated no illegal drugs or pets. So be a pal & Narc out a student!

This is why PCVST has NYU open invite to all students volleyball today and why crimes are being committed with impunity:

Exactly right, we are busy not stupid and lazy -- working and raising families and because corrupt operators are rigging the system we are having to fight battles on things that are basic human rights.

Cuomo and Langone are the center of Peter Cooper Village Stuyvesant Town community's total destruction from obliteration of Open Spaces and Tree Park to ripping 10,000 families out of homes. Their high level of arrogance renders them stupidly believing PCVST residents would fall for their scam.

In an earlier post a commentator had links to Langone bragging how he "happen to know" the person standing behind Spitzer in the post office as he purchased money orders for prostitutes, (in Langone's quest to takeover the Governor's office for Cuomo).

Doubtful Langone happen to know who was behind Spitzer in the Post Office -- more likely he had Spitzer followed by the people who then were behind Spitzer in the Post Office, to spy on Spitzer's every move. His moves may have been vulgar, yet Langone's are worse.

Langone needed the Governor's office to get the bedpan alley through PCVST land, and that meant he needed Cuomo in it.

Langone needed Quinn or Stringer as Mayor but had to settle for next best position with Stringer as controller and not Spitzer; and needed Garodnick as at least in city council but they (Cuomo and Langone) aimed for Speaker.

Schneiderman in Office of Attorney General was a sure thing to finish Cuomo's work for Langone approving the PCVST deal and slowing/blocking tenant complaints of criimes.

Although Quinn was a sure bet to finish Bloomberg's RE work the People pushed back and voted NO on Quinn and YES on De Blasio with the hope he would deliver on his campaign promises.

Langone buys Political Offices and puts in politicians who will use that Office to do his dirty work (thank you to the earlier commentator on Langone's plan for filling the Federal government office with his chosen operatives).

The Stringer / Garodnick musical-chairs deal they played with political offices was designed by Cuomo / Langone. A deal made so they could steal PCVST among other things for Langone, NYU, REBNY and the dirty NYU deal the Quinn Council made.

De Blasio was right to back Viverito fighting against Cuomo's brazen and loud vested interest push to get Garodnick as Speaker. That would have been unimaginably more disastrous.

THE PCVST DEAL IS A DIRTY DEAL BY PEOPLE WHO PLAY DIRTY SO NOTHING STANDS IN THE WAY OF GETTING WHAT THEY WANT - NOT EVEN 30,000 WORKING CLASS HUMAN BEINGS.

ref:

They know they can get away with breaking the law because they have Schneiderman diverting attention to smaller criminals. Schneiderman would never take on Ken Langone and if Ken Langone promises Schneiderman the Governors office after Cuomo, then Schneiderman will do as Ken Langone tells him to do. Ken Langone wants this land and he wants it without us in our homes.

"(just as non-residents can now register for SuperSoccer and AppleSeeds as guests: no ID required.)"

Basically the same thing for "The Courts" (the tent) at playground 11 for the Basketball teams, as long as one person is a resident, one can have 4 "guests" as team members. It's all "Pay for Play" crap with just a small window for "free" time for residents. More commercial activities for a so called non-commercial zoned (interior of PCVST) area. Just another example of how CR/CWC violates the law with impunity with no blowback from ANY of our elected officials or the TA.

"Q: What will the cost be? A: Prices will vary depending on the program. More information is provided on the organizations’ websites. Open Time activities will be free for residents and their guests".

Cuomo wants Stuyvesant Town Peter Cooper Village for his best pal Ken Langone's NYU Medical Center.

In a try to control NYC for REBNY Governor Cuomo is out to get Mayor De Blasio again

Last time Cuomo pushed hard for REBNY golden child Garodnick as Council Speaker probably as part of the Stringer Garodnick shuffle after REBNY golden child Quinn was rejected by new Yorkers so Stringer and Gardonick can carry out Cuomo's plans.

Cuomo again is pushing for control of NYC for REBNY with another controlling push for cronies and some of his puppets are pushing hard their self promotions (Stringer is heavy on the PR hall monitoring audits).

Cuomo wants to control New York City for his billionaire friends and tall towers of luxury condos especially our land minus our community.

If Cuomo wants De Blasio out then I want De Blasio IN!

Fantastic boycott idea!

If Councilman Garodnick and Tenant Association Board of directors hadn't been in on betraying the PCVST community we could have nationally made a profound statement with a middle class community standing up for its home with a 30,000 tenant strong boycott of billionaires Ken Langone and Larry Fink starting with Home Depot and working our way through Larry Fink's clients and all the Tishamn investors companies and clients. Instead the Tenant Association Board rolled over, betrayed us all and conned us into letting them be our voice which they never used to protect us.

The Tenant Association Marsh Steinberg Board shut us up and shut us out.

Governor Cuomo takes another cheap shot.
After his big press PR blitz mocking homeless in NYC to use it for his political strategy, Cuomo Stringer manipulated Rebny's girl Christine Quinn as CEO of Women in Need with a plug in their for NYC Comptroller. Quinn oversees the multimillion dollar contracts Women In Need has with NYC (per records they say are "available" as if we all don't know they were provided and the direction to the press wasn't carefully crafted!).

The article points out Quinn "helped Cuomo spearhead his efforts to create a new political party targeting female voters, the Women’s Equality Party," to portray Quinn as pro-women when we all know the Women's Equality Party was Cuomo's strategy
to weaken the Working Families Party
and take-down his female challenger in the race, Zephyr Teachout,

whom Cuomo refused to debate, refused to acknowledge and refused to shake her hand at a parade.

WELL SAID, VERY VERY WELL SAID

Rising fury at Mayor de Blasio over luxury developments

BY Albor Ruiz NEW YORK DAILY NEWS Monday, September 21, 2015, 12:40 AM

Mayor de Blasio, fortunately for the great majority of New Yorkers, is not Mike Bloomberg, whose contempt for working people was legendary.

That’s why the hundreds of Chinatown and Lower East Side residents are planning to gather outside the Extell luxury condominium construction site (227 Cherry St.) in a couple of weeks, to march to City Hall, will feel a little uncomfortable. After all, they elected de Blasio, the Tale-of-Two-Cities mayor, because he promised to pay attention — really pay attention — to their problems. Marches and protests such as this should not be necessary, right?

Yet, they are. The community, organized by the Coalition to Protect Chinatown and the Lower East Side, has encountered only obstacles from City Hall to their demand that de Blasio protect their waterfront community from luxury developments. They want the mayor to put a stop to the powerful real estate developer Extell Development Corp.’s plan to build a gargantuan, 56-story luxury tower close to the Manhattan Bridge. In an obviously discriminatory move, a 13-story “poor door” building would be built next to it to house the low-income population in the complex.

“Definitely here is a growing sense of disappointment with de Blasio,” said David Tieu, a member of the coalition’s National Mobilization Against Sweatshops. “After all, the people elected him to overturn Bloomberg’s legacy of income inequality, someone who would put working people first. ,But he even refuses to say he is against this development.”

The new high-rise would be located in an area where there are several public housing projects, in a predominantly low-income black, Latino and Chinese community. The development is set for completion by 2018.

“Our communities want equal protection,” said Sarah Ahn, of the coalition. “The wealthier, whiter East Village was rezoned in 2008, which protected the area with strict height limits, pushing luxury development into Chinatown and the Lower East Side. Then, our communities demanded inclusion in this rezoning but were denied by Bloomberg's administration. Now, de Blasio’ administration is following suit by saying that the community’s rezoning plan is too ambitious and telling us to cut up our own communities, which we refuse to do."

Community people are getting displaced by the luxury buildings that push the rents through the roof. Meanwhile developers get many millions of taxpayers’ dollars from the city.

These resources, Ahn said, should instead be used to fund public schools, senior centers, low-income housing and other social services.

“Stop the displacement of working people,” she said. “We will not continue to be treated like second-class citizens.”

"You'd be hard-pressed to find a major CEO that wouldn't take his call," says his friend Anthony Carbonetti, a former bundler for Rudy Giuliani. "Everyone takes his call—because they want to know what he has to say."

Langone is a prodigious donor, having given millions to New York University and New York City charities, including the Harlem Children's Zone. He's also given hundreds of thousands to conservative groups, like the Republican National Committee, Karl Rove's American Crossroads super-PAC, and the American Action Network, the dark-money outfit run by former Minnesota Sen. Norm Coleman. Langone strongly backed his friend Ross Perot for president in 1992 and was a bundler for Giuliani in 2008."

To people like Ken Langone it is less important his party wins and most important he control the Office so he will back a Dem or Republican or both. When his republican choices lose, they lose big, Guiliani, Romney, Christie, Lhota,

It does not matter who the person is, what matters is control of the Office they hold.

Wow there is so much here.
Agree with earlier comment, if Schumer's hands were clean he would have spoken up against and stopped the eviction of thousands upon thousands of PCVST resident families for Langone's NYU luxury dorms at any point these past years since CW and Compass Rock built them.
If Schumer's hands were clean he would speak up against Ken Langone's dark money. He would not take any let alone give Langone any taxpayer dollars.
The Dark Money in Washington article on Langone is frightening. Schumer will be Senate Leader and that is the example he is setting? That Dark Money is the accepted and preferred way of operating and to give FEMA $ like that? Those two ways, the FEMA $ and the condoning of Langone dorms are causing inequality. Inequality is what is destroying 99% of the population.

Seems Schumer is speaking against inequality while his actions are causing inequality. Maybe he doesn't see it because he is an old time career politician who always operated that way but I think it is more like Cuomo who recently said "every politician operates that way, so what"

The dark money in Politics, bribes and misuse of taxpayer dollars, are causing inequality.

Schumer seems the same as Cuomo.

Ken Langone = dark money in politics, causing inequality, destroying the working class for his seizing of our land, cruelty to animals, Hitler references, and this article with the photo in the article tells all we need to know about the close relationship of Schumer and the very bad person, Mr Langone:

Home Depot co-founder Ken Langone likens Mayor de Blasio and liberals' arguments to Nazis

One of Gov. Cuomo’s top Republican backers backpedals after making remark.

BY Kenneth Lovett , Annie Karni , Celeste Katz /

NEW YORK DAILY NEWS /

Tuesday, March 18, 2014, 9:32 PM

Home Depot co-founder Ken Langone landed in hot water Tuesday after likening the arguments of Mayor de Blasio and liberals to that of the Nazis.

One of Gov. Cuomo’s top Republican supporters ignited an uproar Tuesday by comparing populist appeals targeting income inequality to arguments made by Nazis in pre-war Germany.

Kenneth Langone, the billionaire co-founder of The Home Depot and a chairman of Republicans for Cuomo, made the remark when asked by Politico how
the rich view the political arguments made by Mayor de Blasio and other liberals.

"I hope it's not working. Because if you go back to 1933, with different words, this is what Hitler was saying," he said. “You don’t survive as a society if you encourage and thrive on envy or jealousy.”

Eleven hours later, Langone backpedaled.

"My remarks were intended to discourage pitting one group against another group," he said. "If my choice of words was inappropriate — and they well may have been that — I extend my profound apologies to anyone and everyone who I may have offended."

Cuomo's Republican challenger for governor, Westchester County Executive Rob Astorino, called the remarks “outrageous” and demanded that Cuomo repudiate them.

"We can disagree in society. We're supposed to disagree in society. That's why you have different political parties. But all this extremist conversation anytime somebody disagrees with you has gone way too far," said Astorino, speaking in Albany after addressing an evangelical Christian group.

A coalition of liberal activists sent a letter to Cuomo calling on him to not only reject Langone's comments, but also return his donations.

At day’s end, Cuomo spokesman Matt Wing said, "He apologized for using inappropriate words."

De Blasio, a self-styled progressive who has locked horns with Cuomo for wanting to increase taxes on the wealthy to fund expanded prekindergarten and afterschool programs, demurred when asked if the governor should have chastised Langone.

"I think the comment was obviously over the top to say the least, so I think it's perfectly appropriate if someone doesn't want to speak to that," the mayor said.

Rebny's Stuyvesant Town Peter Cooper Village predatory deal could not happen without the lower level politicians manipulating the residents and upper level politicians manipulating the process. Dan Garodnick is betraying and manipulating his neighbors while Federal level soon head of Senate Senator Schumer is manipulating the process.

Dictating Fannie Freddie money to REBNY (Paul Weiss) Brookfield is Senator Schumer's way of helping REBNY and not in any way shape or form to help his constituents, the residents of Peter Cooper Village Stuyvesant Town.

The low-level Politicians shepherding Rebny's deal hold offices at the lower level's of Dan Garodnick, the higher levels of Senator Schumer, including a lot of levels in between. All for Governor Cuomo's partner in politics and business, Ken Langone.

Anyone, politicians and citizens who oppose the Cuomo Langone partnership will be taken down mercilessly.

Q. Was New York Politician's aggressive targeting of AirBNB a means to help get the Rent stabilized apartment numbers down in Peter Cooper Village ST in the hopes subpoenas would reveal residents here are renting out their homes?

A. YES

Q. When their subpoenas to AirBNB came up empty on Peter Cooper Village ST tenants, and since Compass Rock watch and track our comings and goings on camera, are Compass Rock / NY politicians concocting schemes to falsify evidence that someone was renting our homes when they know we are away out of town?

A. YES

Q. Will their latest deceitful, intentional assault on tenants in this community work?

A. NO

Residents do not have to prove Golub claims are false by handing over private and personal information to Compass Crock. Compass Rock has to prove their Golub claim. Residents falsely accused can file harassment claims and counterclaims for damages.

Although the politicians control the Judges (eg Scott Stringer's Court house Cabal), it is time well spent to push back on the Politician / REBNY takeover, to stand up for yourself.

These guys are losers misusing their government offices to make themselves richer by stealing homes from the working class to give the property to billionaire "friends".

I bet PETA would love to hear about NYU's new animal testing lab built by FEMA relief money from Ken Langone and Senator Schumer.

PETA worked hard helping families and animals hurt by the hurricane. Senator Schumer should take back the $1.5 billion given to Ken Langone and give it to the public hospitals, the working class people rebuilding their homes and the animal rescues who helped families reunite and keep family pets and rescued so many during Hurricane Sandy. They are the ones who need and deserve $1.5 billion of FEMA relief money.

NOT ACCEPTABLE

For any of the many known reasons, this company deserves a boycott to wake it up to what is acceptable in a civilized society.

It is not acceptable to act in big, small, or any way or manner that belittles or hurts our American veterans;
it is not acceptable to create inequality in our PCVST community by kicking working class out of their home to replace them with luxury transient dorm system in a scam land grab for NYU Langone;
it is not acceptable to use FEMA Relief Money to build an animal testing lab;
it is not acceptable for a corporate policy to allow people to bring loaded rifles into retail stores where we bring our kids; etc etc

Tell Home Depot and Ken Langone to change their ways.

So the moron says well we have told our people to tighten the rules and we only give what corporate requires we give and you do not qualify. The gentleman says he will then take his business elsewhere. The young moron replies that is your choice.

The gentleman starts to leave and I step in. I tell the moron if one of your idiot friends walked through the door right now you would have the option of giving him a discount and with your attitude you would do it. So step over to the register and give this guy his discount. He says he does not qualify for it.

So I tell him look here is how this is going to work. Either you give this guy a discount and I call Home Depot corp and tell them how good of a manager you are in spite of the stupid policy. Or I go home call Home Depot corp tell them I stupid the policy is and their manager is a moron, then I blast face book and it goes viral and you get to be the moron you are. I think you know which one he chose!

So people please blast Facebook with this story. It was store E Spokane #4714 5617 E Sprague Ave Spokane Valley, WA 99212 What a shmuck, he also told the gentleman that he would have to talk to the CEO of Home Depot to change his mind.

On Cuomo
One legislator told Gotham Gazette, "I kept waiting to see how the governor was going to screw him … It's hard not to think the worst of everything Andrew does."

If Cuomo screws Schneiderman that is because Schneiderman is screwing us out of justice and safety in our PCVST homes in the NYU Dan Plan.
What comes around goes around.

10:26 PM: If plastic shopping bags are banned or offered only for a fee, then we will have to buy plastic bags to line our garbage cans. We DO need plastic bags to dispose of garbage and the ones we get at the grocery store serve this purpose very well. None of my plastic bags end up in trees or rivers; they all go down the garbage chute when they are full of household refuse.

I think Rwanda and Delhi have more serious environmental problems they should be addressing. Much of their populations don't have clothes on their backs and food in their stomachs. They have human waste running through the streets and they are worried about plastic bags? Gimme a break.

"Senator Schumer take back the FEMA money from Mr Langone and give it to those more worthy and deserving! Please."

Schumer and Langone should be indicted for theft, corruption and fraud. Such evil men are ruling and ruining our lives. We are living under a corrupt political and corporate system that would make Putin blush!

What? After your plastic bags go down the chute do you think it ends there? It goes into the oceans, landfills, the wind, and yes the trees. Your plastic bag going down the chute doesn't stay in the chute. I think the earlier comment makes some good points. This country is not leading the way on environmentalism, we are behind, way behind. Plastic bags, plastic bottles, Styrofoam are things we could easily eliminate. I guess I don't see your point and I don't agree with your approach to do one thing and not another. I doubt those countries eliminated plastic instead of addressing the things you list, but probably in addition to -- we can't do one thing at a time, there is a lot to do.

It is OK that Wall Street and Developers wiped out trillions of assets of the Middle Class because they give so much back in philanthropy. That is what these sociopaths want the Pope to learn and realize Wall Street and Developers are right and the Pope is wrong.

http://www.businessinsider.com/wall-street-bankers-have-a-new-pitch-for-the-pope-2015-9
Yeah we hurt a lot of people, but we give charity when we wipe them out.

And Langone is heavy on the PR on how good he is and that he should have a seat at the right hand of the Pope. This guy believes he deserves to sit at the right hand of the Pope!

Wall Street and RE pushing their philanthropy to eclipse the way they make the money in the first place. The comment by Oliver Cromwell is better than the article.

Mr. Langone should understand net returns of investments -- and that equation includes how the money was earned in the first place. This is not a stupid pope. He knows exactly what he is saying.

Uggh Ken Langone believes he can buy his way into and out of everything. Philanthropy and charitable giving is used by all whose gains are ill-gotten in the first place as a way to hide the evil. GE is notorious for this.

Oliver Cromwell hit the nail on the head with the Langone's Georgescu's and GE's of the world. Thanks to the internet, we all know and see who they really are and no PR philanthropy or cheap shot TV ad can cover that.

Plus their type of philanthropy is not charitable giving, they expect a bigger return on their gift, from the church restoration Ken Langone expected to control the Pope's message to the world and from Ken Langone's "gift" of 200 million to NYU Ken expects land (rid of its working class inhabitants) in return and his name plastered everywhere on the business school and medical school and facilities.

There is no charity with Ken Langone. It is all PR fakery. He gives to get. And the Get better be bigger than the Give.

Ken Langone's and all his political cronies hands are dirty on the PCVST deal and none of them can PR spin their way out of this - coming in on the back end as heroes who are rebuilding what was destroyed.

They are the ones who destroyed PCVST and it was done fraudulently and with the blessing and dirty helping hands of those who are supposed to uphold the law and make sure we are not victims of fraud.

Demanding or expecting a seat at the Right Hand of the Pope to further Langone's agenda is exploitative of the Pope, and deceptive to convince everyone into thinking the Pope approves of Langone's methods.

Ken Langone's NYU takeover of PCVST should have the disclaimer "This message is not approved by the Pope".

Ken Langone is one of the last people who should be at the right hand of Pope Francis.

Previous Popes may have been onboard with the Right Wing Stealing Hoarding of land and money and raping the Earth of all its resources, but Pope Francis is not. Thanks be to God!

Sleazy, cheap shot, deceptive -- Cuomo is at war with NYC because NYC stood up to Cuomo's REBNY/Langone takeover

Cuomo's latest trick to deceive and to make the Mayor of New York City look bad during the Papal visit is the lowest one can go, it exploits our children and it insults New Yorkers.

This TV ad is pure SLEAZE

Cuomo doesn't see that when New York City looks good then the State looks good. Cuomo is one of those cheap shot liars who makes those around him look bad to give the illusion Cuomo is good. A deceptive TV ad that cost hundreds of thousands of dollars. This shows who Cuomo really is:

A cheap trick, smoke and mirrors, one who needs deceptive TV ads to push his agenda because his agenda is so awful it needs to be pushed forward in order to advance at all. If his agenda was a good one it would move ahead without sleazy TV ads.

http://www.capitalnewyork.com/article/city-hall/2015/09/8577787/new-charter-ad-hits-de-blasio-race

New York City is not buying Cuomo's message no matter it being wrapped in a '90's -esque TV ad. We know what Cuomo and his backers, Hedge funds and REBNY are up to and it is sleazy dirty.

This TV ad is the lowest, the exploiting of children and of a parents hope they are doing best for their kids and biggest fear they are not doing best for their kids is DISGUSTING.

Making parents fear Public Schools is DISGUSTING.

Furthering a social structure class divide by a TV ad creating a perception that kids at Charter Schools are better than kids at Public Schools is DISGUSTING, GROSS AND SLEAZY.

ALL OUR KIDS ARE EQUAL.
Teaching equality begins with our kids.

This TV ad promotes INEQUALITY when it belittles kids in public schools. It is an INSULT to every public school teacher, principal, child and their parents.

Our family is a proud product of the NYC public school system.
Charter Schools are as imperfect if not more than Public Schools.

http://pix11.com/2013/01/29/students-treated-like-prisoners-parents-complain-charter-school-goes-too-far-with-new-disciplinary-program/

A con artist Charter School Principal
http://ny.chalkbeat.org/2014/02/13/principal-at-brooklyn-charter-school-has-a-long-resume-of-faking-his-resumes-2/#.VgUlVzZRFjo

Cuomo sunk to a new low never before reached by any politician with this TV ad.

When Hochul, Schneiderman, Cuomo, Garodnick Langone have their little PR stunt in the Stuy Town Oval to announce their big fat fake rescue of PCVST (despite we know they are the ones we need rescuing from), watch Langone try to fake his gifting of "building a new charter school building on the property for the new stabilizers Marsh and Steinberg bring in" as if Langone isn't building that for himself and not the kids.

We are DISGUSTED at this attack on our Public schools, exploiting our children, and making public school children feel third class citizens and guilt parents to feel like failures unless they put their kids in charter schools.

If charter schools are better then charter schools could stand on their own merits to attract parents.
If charter schools are no better, just different or worse, then to compete with public schools they would disparage and defame the competition to make themselves attractive.

Defaming the competition is classic Cuomo because he cannot stand on his own merits. His obvious grandstanding to steal the $15 minimum wage increase spotlight after telling De Blasio the $13 hour was a nonstarter was low, but this dwarfs that.

PCV ST used to be a clean, safe environment and community with a very low crime rate. It was a shock when a crime occurred and now it is a common occurrence.
We raised successful families that contributed to society now in the matter of a couple of years they turned PCV ST into a cigarette butt and puke-lined treeless hazardous zone with pot filling the halls and lungs of our little ones (harder drugs abound too).

They commit the frauds and crimes on Stuy Town Peter Cooper Village residents with such impunity, the AG office and Governor's office has to be deeply involved.

A photo is worth a thousand words, the REBNY gala photos really do say it all.

8:58 PM: If we don't use plastic bags to dispose of our garbage, what do you suggest we do? The stuff can't go directly down the chute unless it is contained in something. I'm not talking about recyclable garbage, but last night's dinner leavings, baby's diapers (even adult diapers) and other non-recyclable stuff. If I lived in a house with a yard, I would compost. But the yucky stuff still has to to the landfill and it has to be wrapped in something.

I saw Schumer on TV gushing over meeting the Pope. I wanted to vomit. He and his buddies are representative of everything vile and corrupt that the Pope preaches against.

As for poster at 6:47 am, I guess the hall monitor is skulking here.

Many of the older tenants are redoing their tubs, kitchens and floors. I was told we can just do it and others have done so. can anyone suggest a good floor to put down in a non renovated? thank you.

PCVST is a real estate scam with the same parties acting as the seller and the buyer to move massive amounts of money between the same people in flips designed to make the property fail and fall apart to open the door for developers to "rebuild" the land. ..ruining tens of thousands of people's lives in the process.

Renovating your own apartment is a lease violation. Make sure you get permission from Compass Rock in writing and show their written permission to a lawyer along with your lease, before you renovate. Get the lawyers advice in writing too, some of the lawyers have been helping Compass Rock and Dan TA instead of helping the resident.

Completely agree September 25, 2015 at 8:34 PM

Senator Chuck Schumer using FEMA money to build an animal testing lab for Ken Langone is gross, despicable.

Senator Chuck Schumer then having an audience with the Pope who publicly denounces, decries, the very acts the Senator engages in is an insult to the Pope.

Senator Schumer needs to start caring about People and Planet and caring less about cameras and money.

New York is in a state of disgrace.

Another night when neighbor comes in at 1Am with loud boots in the bedroom, making all sorts of noise. Doesn't calm down till 1:30 Am. Called security but the guy denied it. How incredibly said that our community has changed so much over the last
15 years. Something like this would have led to an eviction years back.

I can afford to leave and am in the process of making arrangements to do just that.
Everything changes and I guess this is just one more thing.

I think there is a deliberate strategy of harassment against long-term tenants because they want their apartments.

Get the lawyers advice in writing too, some of the lawyers have been helping Compass Rock and Dan TA instead of helping the resident.

Stay away from ALL lawyers who work with or ever worked with the Marsh Steinberg Garodnick coalition. They will lie to you and cheat you out of money to help Compass Rock screw you over!

I refuse to call it a Tenant's Association because they are anything but that.
