So is Our Man Dan for These or Against These?

In Dan Garodnick's district, forthcoming.

"YIMBY can now reveal the latest plans for the site, which have changed significantly, and the entirety of the building above the retail base will be condominiums. The project has also received a significant height boost, and is now slated to stand 64 stories and 803 feet tall, with Pelli Clarke Pelli serving as the design architect."

A reminder of Dan's history on these excessively tall buildings:

Ignore what Dan says.

Pay close attention to what he does.

Of course the DOB papers still reflect the old hotel plans because why on earth should DOB documents reflect any truth?

91 3000sq ft luxury and probably empty condos used for short term stays and laundering money. good job incumbents, in a time when there is a housing crisis that has to be the dumbest use of space and planning. More dumb is the loss of sunshine.

For decades Ceruzzi is one of the worse killers of communities. After a town overturned their city council and stopped a WalMart megacrapstore from moving in (that would have killed small businesses and brought in its labor rights violation issues) Ceruzzi is a second time bringing in the megastore by letting it hide behind his company during the planning process. Shady Shady Deceit Stuff.

Cuomo Garodnick building a REBNY New York City for the wealthy millionaires and billionaires ONLY evicting every neighborhood even Dan's own

Dan is definitely NOT our man

"He" writes the laws, gives the tax breaks, then joins the chorus of constituents protesting these monsters. Is he against them? Yes when that is politically correct and only in words, never in actions. Is he for them? Yes, before the public has knowledge of them and not only in words but also in actions.

"He" = Garodnick etc.

As long as we're slinging mud, let's not forget de Blasio. He said building up was the way to get more space, which is true if unappealing.

Dan, Stringer, Cuomo are jockeying for their next promotion cozying up to the US Veep, doing things for making headlines for themselves and pretending to fix problems they caused and refusing to acknowledge the role hedge funds (politician bribers) played in the problems. On Puerto Rico Cuomo said hedge funds are not the illness but they are the symptom, Bullshit! Hedge funds are behaving as a virus. The germ. The bacteria. Causing and spreading the illness.

These guys continuing a life career as a politician spells for a continuation of this century's economic disaster for the whole country while making big profits for Wall Streeters and REBNYers.

I am all-in onboard to unseat incumbents

I was in Long Island City and Astoria yesterday and couldn't get over the number of high-rise "luxury" condos going up. Given that the trains are crowded even well OUTSIDE the rush hours, I am wondering how all these new people are going to get around if they want to use public transport.

Most towers sit empty unless used by the wealthy when they come to NY for Trump Golf Classic or Barclay Center or whatever convention is in Long Island or the casinos Cuomo wants now that Macau is on the way down from dirty money, gangs, drugs, and prostitution and Atlantic City crumbled.

Governor Cuomo is the worse kind of hypocrite on his Morelandesque photo op flight to Puerto Rico getting headlines for himself to set himself up for the national stage while he pockets millions of dollars from the hedge funds who are profiting from the problems in Puerto Rico.

The hedge funds are contributing to the problems in Puerto Rico and contributing to Governor Cuomo so they can have their cake and eat it too. Governor Cuomo is eating cake with the hedge funds at his fundraisers so he can profit from the perils in Puerto Rico and promote himself as the savior of Puerto Rico at the same time.

At least Governor Cuomo is not hypocritical, but is consistent when it comes to screwing NYC tenants, Governor Cuomo profits from the REBNY while Governor Cuomo continues Albany's plan to weaken rent laws to wipe out the Middle Class, building a NYC playground for the wealthiest in the world, including helping our landlord hedge fund and REBNY interests in the NYU takeover for Governor Cuomo's best friend Ken Langone.

Governor Cuomo not giving back that money from his hedge fund pals profiting from Puerto Rico's debt is appalling, Governor Cuomo's spokesperson degrading Make The Road protests as astroturf / fake is appalling and telling of a Governor who loves dirty money in politics, as do each person on Governor Cuomo's Puerto Rico flight of hypocrisy. They all pretend to have moral standards to which their behavior does not conform.

You can only get away with lying to the People for so long. That time is coming to an end because the People see who Governor Cuomo really is, nothing more than another REBNY, hedge fund, Wall Street owned Puppet. All the photo ops in the world won't cover that up.

The Yelp has gone absurd! Beautiful advertisement photos and a lump of recent glowing reviews. The attorney general who caught Yelp doing this before is letting Yelp do it to us. He stops landlords, developers, and Yelp when it comes to everyone else and lets the same crimes happen here. STR even proved the Yelp frauds! And commentators dug up the marketing companies and addresses of the fake Yelp review source!
Blind eyes, deaf ears and mute mouths from the attorney general on Yelp Stuy Town!

NY Gov Andrew Cuomo will let NOTHING get in the way of people putting money in the Gov's pocket.

Cuomo should do as the citizens are demanding and protesting, Make the Road and the Hedgeclippers and all protesting the bribery the politicians are pocketing and profiting from the ones who are hurting the constituents.

What a disgrace. A dirty rotten disgrace!

Cuomo showing his face in Puerto Rico for a photo op (a photo which looked a lot like anther do-nothing Moreland Commission panel) for his next political move to the national stage while his pockets are full of cash from the hedge funds holding Puerto Rico's debt hostage is dirty, dirty money, dirty pockets, dirty hands.

Cuomo taking millions from hedge funds profiting from Puerto Rico's financial distress then Cuomo making headlines for himself as a hero savior flying down to rescue Puerto Ricans from the very problems he is contributing to, is dirty.

Everyone on that plane flight could use a dose of campaign-donation-coffer-cleaning, clearing out dirty money bribes they got from anyone who is profiting from Puerto Rico's distress.

The hedge funds are profiting from Puerto Rico's financial distress. The Governor and politicians are profiting in money donations and headlines from Puerto Rico's distress.

The politicians who went with Governor Andrew Cuomo on that Morelandesque charade should have sided with the People and asked their boss the Governor to give back the hedge funder's money before they boarded the plane.

But everyone on the Puerto Rico plane and panel is the Governor's Puppet, choosing headlines, photo ops, and campaign donation bribes over being a member of the US government that is For the People, Of the People, By the People.

Now the journalists exposed the politician's proposed solutions to Puerto Rico's problems is not even possible within the Constitution.

Same crap over and over. Politicians getting lots of headlines while lots of people lose everything.

PCVST is no different from Puerto Rico.

The hedge funds are taking Puerto Rico, the REBNY is taking PCVST, the politicians are taking bribe donations and making headlines to get professional promotions for not doing their job.

I go to work and do my job as expected. I expect same from politicians, go to work and their job.
I will not thank them after they have done what is essentially their job because they held out for years not doing their job.

They are acting like kindergarteners needy of praise for just coming to class.

Off to work I go now, and at the end of the day let's see if I get thanked on the way out for just doing my job today.

Dan is Bloomberg's 4th term.

We don't need to look beyond his disgraceful, phony "tenant led purchase" degenerating into an expensive Brookfield condo scam going down at PCVST to know he is owned by REBNY and Wall Street.

How he flipped the TA into betraying their PCVST neighbors/constituents by partnering with a major REBNY predator investing $25 million supporting and cheerleading Speyer's rampage that destroyed PCVST and a historic middle class community is a confounding question that requires investigation.

I feel a Greek tragedy coming up.

Either
Andrew reaching his father's unachieved Presidential goal thereby proving the corrupt triumphs over the noble in achieving the White House address

or
Andrew invoking his father's words channeling his father to appear noble to cover up his own corruption in what we can only hope is a looming arrest of the third man in the room who ruined the lives of upstate and downstate New Yorkers (and probably caused if not contributed heavily to the housing crisis during his time policy-making at HUD.)

New York politicians care about two things
1. Money
2. Headlines

The more we demand politicians do work for people, the more headlines we will get for them doing work for us. Louder and louder in our demands, as loud as a million dollar promise from John Banks Leonard Litwin and Rob Speyer would speak is what we will do from now on. A headline doing good work for people is a more powerful vehicle to get a politician the next promotion than a million dollars from Langone. We just have to be careful not to be trapped by the deceitful politicians, the political manipulations of using us for the headline while getting us no results or using us for the headline after abusing us for the RE Wall Street payday.

If they take money from or give welfare to those who caused the problem, they will not get our support for a headline, or our vote ever again.

Andrew is the polar opposite of Mario. Did you all see the speech Andrew
Cuomo just gave where he used his dad's words? He can use all his dad's words all he wants and he will still never live up to be those words and those words will not cover up Andrew's actions. Mario was a solid Governor.

Governor Cuomo is definitely on a headline grabbing PR strategy from his man of the year awards to his giving himself credit for the minimum wage increase (as if years of national protests had nothing to do with it or a decade of press on disparity of CEO to worker pay, etc.)

Pols giving themselves headlines and credit for raising the minimum wage don't see the irony.

It was their job in the first place to make sure people always had a decent minimum wage and it is their failure to not have provided it all along ongoing.

Correcting their own past mistakes and job failures with now raising to somewhat closer to decent living wages for workers is not a victory to be grateful to pols for; it is a correction of their past failure to provide decent living standards for American citizens for which they should be apologizing and asking forgiveness.

Plus at this late juncture it is a band-Aid on a bombshell wound.

You forgot De Blasio!

Actually you forgot Hoylman and Stringer. Hoylman ruined the West Village community and historic culture and made it less safe by replacing the hospital with luxury condos and then he killed our Tree Park in Stuyvesant Town Oval for Verizon (remember you can call Hoylman's office if you have any issues with Verizon). Stringer is a big part of the Cuomo/Langone PCVST deal doing Cuomo's dirty deal work. Gross seeing him up Cuomo's rear at the parade. As gross is Stringer's choice of where he is investing our city pension (which belongs to the people and not Stringer) - the private prison money-scam industry. The health of our pensions depending on the prison industry being over-filled to capacity is a really twisted formula and investment choice.

Hoylman Letter he submitted to Town & Village last summer:

Hoylman is here to help

To the Editor:

I was dismayed to read in the July 17 issue about Seth Shire’s unfortunate experience when he sought to renew his Verizon FiOS contract (“My Verizon FiOS Nightmare”).

I want to remind readers that I am a resource when you experience customer service issues, and you should feel free to contact me at (212) 633-8052 or hoylman@nysenate.gov.

I can help you cut through the red tape and ensure your problem gets the attention it deserves.

Sincerely,

Brad Hoylman,
New York State Senator, 27th district

Never mind Yelp - on the Official STPCV page they have reviews from new suckers. I think this is the one where they reward good reviews.

How does one post on Yelp the ad asking tenants to post positive reviews in exchange for cash and rewards? It is just so funny.

BULLSHIT!

They send an email to get us to electronically pay rent to get themselves access to our private financial information. They send golub notices that the TA Susan Steinberg and Dan Garodnick instruct us to give the landlord personal information to prove we live in our home. Everything is about CompassRock to getting our private information. Susan Steinberg and Dan Garodnick tell us how to prove we live in our home and to give the landlord receipts from where we shop, or anything about ourselves is BULLSHIT.

In this country we are supposed to be innocent until proven guilty and it is on the landlord to prove whatever claim they are making.

The plaintiff making the claim has to prove their claim.

Legally the landlord cannot just make frivolous claims and force tenants to prove ourselves against them.

But unfortunately in this State, under Governor Cuomo, the courts allow landlords to make frivolous and unsubstantiated and unproven claims and force the tenant to prove themselves instead of forcing the plaintiff landlord to prove their claim.

Claims are supposed to be valid with solid evidence or else it is harassment.

They are using golub as fishing expeditions for private information and Susan and Dan are giving us bad advice. These golub fishing expeditions are harassment. The majority of the landlord claims are unsubstantiated and being used to intimidate tenants and to get us to tell them anything and everything private and personal that is none of their business. Receipts where we shop is none of their business.

Tenants being harassed with golub fishing expeditions with a good lawyer (not affiliated in anyway with the Tenant Association or the PCVST landlord) will be protected because a good lawyer will protect their tenant client and the tenant's rights to privacy and good lawyer will force the landlord to prove their claim and not force the tenant to prove their innocence.

After that meeting I feel like Dan and Susan are helping the landlord get our personal and private information. I did not like their advice.

If this landlord wants to make a golub claim they will have to prove their claim! And we will file a claim for harassment!

Tenants are not guilty until proven innocent despite that the TA, Garondick, and Cuomo's court system operate that way.

BULLSHIT!

I think you are correct. Those reviews are so Orwellian. On the level of “Oceania was at war with Eurasia: therefore Oceania had always been at war with Eurasia.” BTW, from the Yelp “reviews for Peter Cooper Village Stuyvesant Town that are not currently recommended” section (link located on the STR banner page), 9/10/2015:

“What the F is up with this landlord managing company? Fees and fees and more fees that you do not know when you move and are tucked in after it's too late to back out. Rip OFF ALERT. RIP OFF
Apparently they claim your rent check late whenever they like even if you pay it before or on the first. Iit takes '3 weeks' to get to them so they say you're late. Slap on a late fee of hundreds. Scam ALERT RIP OFF - Calling attorney”
