Welcome to Stuyvesant Town. Have a Great Day!

Continued. Later in the day.

7/21 update:

7/24 update:

Later in the day, one mattress was not leaning against a tree anymore. I guess someone needed to take a rest.

Update, some day as before. Position of the mattresses changed! And the photo was taken 7:52 PM. Mattresses still there!

A real classy place to live. Although the overflowing trash cans are unsightly, they will be cleaned out soon. The main culprit is the dumping on the loops and sidewalk. Makes the place very slum like. Imagine paying over 4 grand for an apartment here. Oh but you get Adirondack chairs, concerts and movies plus a vibrant community spirit as the cheerleaders say.

Stuy Town Reporter said...

I agree that the overflowing trash cans will be cleaned out. However, these overflowing cans have been there since last evening when the Oval was open for all tenants and non-tenants. And PS has monitors. Another system has to be used. How about cleaning the trash cans after the event, not waiting till the next day?

Also, please note that some of the garbage is near the trash cans, but not inside them, which, for the amount of stuff, is clearly overflowing and a nice welcome for nightly vermin.

Notice, too, the stroller, which was abandoned after the event. How to you leave behind a stroller?

Again, a better and more efficient system has to be used. The photos were taken around 8AM, btw.

Sanitation is definitely not a priority of this management. I have never seen the property look dirtier.

Anonymous said...

This is a direct result of having too many people living in these apartments. The Complex cannot handle it. Simple.

Anonymous said...

Absolutely disgusting.

WOW!

Stuy Town Reporter said...

Just a note that these photos have not been altered or staged by me in any way. I take photos of what I see. And I see something like this every day.

Anonymous said...

Don't forget!!!

It's CONCERT NIGHT!!!!

Anonymous said...

The sound level of the “music” in the Oval tonight WAS TOO DAM LOUD. Just like it has been for months. It was such a nice night that I hoped to sit in the Oval and read quietly. IMPOSSIBLE. ABSOLUTELY IMPOSSIBLE. What a pity that the people who run this place don’t understand how much more of an asset A PEACEFUL OVAL, AN OASIS IN THE CITY, is than are the completely unnecessary - and unwanted by many - events they put on.

STAND UP AND FIGHT said...

STAND UP AND FIGHT:

The "concert" of total garbage and assault tonight:

I spoke with Powers' office and let them know my assessment of who/what he is.
I spoke with 311.
I spoke with 911.
I spoke with our "Resident Services" to inform them I was being assaulted and harassed in my own home (it is hurting my head, ears, entire body and mind as I write this). They connected me with "Legal" who repeatedly advised me to "call the police."

"Legal" went on to assure me that this audio shit and literal poison is "legal," and is "a benefit for the residents of this community."

And: this is New York City, which is noisy.

And: these hours are not hours during which people need to be quiet.

And: I (and others assaulted thus in Oval buildings) will not be moved because "we don't move people for this reason."

I DON'T BELIEVE THAT ANY REAL RESIDENTS HERE TRULY UNDERSTAND WHAT IS HAPPENING DESPITE SOME OF THE POSTED MESSAGES.

IF THEY DID, WE'D BE ORGANIZED AND CONSTRUCTIVELY FIGHTING.

Anonymous said...

Obviously, if you create dumping sites all over the loops there will be a sanitation issue. We never had that before. There was one central area which was away from the buildings. I’m addition, when you have huge amounts of move outs each day there will be problems. Hayduk and company are largely responsible for this.

Stuy Town Reporter said...

I left the building, but not before I heard the "music." I didn't have my camera, but I would say there were about 50 people listening.

Anonymous said...

Passed the oval and i feel for those who live there. That music tonight was bad awful bad and loud. It's obvious blackstone wants many certain type tenants gone.

Anonymous said...

At times the music was annoying to me in my Oval apartment. It appears that there is nothing we can do about this disgusting entertainment. Our politicians turn the other cheek as a sizable amount of tenants support this crap. Blackstone has legal counsel and unfortunately there is nothing or nobody to challenge it.

Anonymous said...

They choose not to handle it effectively.

Anonymous said...

The amount of complaining about unsanitary conditions, poor quality of life, corrupt legal department, joke of a city council, transient population due to a corrupt leasing department, noise pollution, complete absence of peaceful enjoyment of a safe home, is a disgrace. A big criminal disgrace. The crimes going on here since Tishman Speyer and Blackrock moved in in 2006 are out of control and they were already pretty bad. The problem is scum. The scum are ruining the property. Recall that Fortress CW Compass Rock MacArthur and Sorise are employees at Blackstone on another property. Blackstone, Fortress CW Compass Rock Speyer are all the same.

The concerts and every other “event” and 5 Stuy Cafe, too, are ILLEGAL. THERE IS ZERO VETTING OF IDS, WHICH IS A VIOLATION OF THE ZONING THAT REQUIRES THAT THESE “AMENITIES” BE LIMITED TO RESIDENTS AND THEIR GUESTS. As I have said before, this is where Blackstone is VULNERABLE AND COULD/SHOULD BE LEGALLY CHALLENGED.

I have Powers' office looking into our zoning. I'm bet others are, too. Right now, it takes time, but I will report. Whatever the outcome. I consider these events here an "open and shut case." But I have to be patient. Even if I am BSed.

Stuy Town Reporter said...

BTW, yesterday I took a walk through the new Target store. My reaction (I would say instantaneous) was: bye-bye Associated. It's just a matter of time now.

Stuy Town Reporter said...

And... comparing Target to Stuy Town. Yes, Target is brand new, that I understand. But Stuy Town is not being run properly. What you see the other day that I took photos of should not be happening. While a good amount of people are slobs, the "new" demo doesn't like what they see here.

Anonymous said...

The new Target store is indeed nice and new looking. Wonder how long it will stay that way. I welcome any store that gives that dump Associated competition.

Anonymous said...

While a good amount of people are slobs, the "new" demo doesn't like what they see here.

What makes you say that? They’re catering to the new demo with their amenities, while showing no concern about harming lots of others, especially those of us who live around the Oval.

Glad to hear that you’re trying with Powers, but I doubt that he has the backbone or the stomach to take on Blackstone over their illegal activities here.

Stuy Town Reporter said...

>>What makes you say that? They’re catering to the new demo with their amenities, while showing no concern about harming lots of others, especially those of us who live around the Oval.<<

Oh, I believe that Blackstone and our good friend Rick are catering to the new demo, or at least that is the attempt. But, realistically, they are losing the new demo. And the old one as well.

The new demo are the ones contributing to the filth and the ones that are not do not seem to mind it as exemplified by the posters on the TA site. As for Mr. Powers, I have yet to see any action by him on the QOL issues despite his willingness to meet with residents.

Anonymous said...

Not so. The new demo could care less about sanitation.

Stuy Town Reporter said...

Yeah, but we can't fall into the thinking/trap of Management. Let's say the "events" at the Oval. Just how many residents are there? At most, on a good day, I'd say 200-250. For those just "musical" events, there are even less, sometimes 50 or so. Hardly, a large crowd.

Anonymous said...

Why bother

Stuy Town Reporter said...

Without the bother, there is no response to "Have you contacted..." (fill in the blanks). Management is sure to ask this, followed by the time. The BS is known, but one has to go through the motions. My take.

Anonymous said...

The last meeting with our councilman produced zero results, the summer is nearing the halfway mark and the entertainment continues. Not sure what actions people in this post feel will stop Blackstone. So far it is only getting worse

Anonymous said...

They just don't care, and neither do I.

Anonymous said...

This factor has already been brought up to Mr.Powers and management. I have sent a photo. Not sure why you think action will be taken if a minority of us keep complaining. Some of my neighbors who are long term residents like these events and that is also bolstering Blackstone’s position.

"they are losing the new demo. And the old one as well."

-----

That's the plan. It was $peyer's plan. Now it's Black$tone's plan. It's the same plan.

The "Plan" never changed - Rake in multiple billion dollar windfalls rapidly churning the newer MR-paying transient demo in/out while simultaneously pushing the older long term RS-protected demo out.

Right now Black$tone is successfully executing $peyer's greed fueled PCVST business plan. After $peyer walked away Black$tone could never successfully own/exploit/destroy PCVST without essential support from our corrupt NYC Councilman Garodnick, even more corrupt NYC Mayor de Blasio and our hijacked, corrupted, disgraced, incredibly conflicted PCVST TA Board, all elected to defend us against $peyer, Blackrock, Fortress, Moelis, Brookfield, Black$tone, etc. Those corrupt elected representatives literally guaranteed in writing Black$tone will succeed where $peyer failed.

Corrupt politicians are now calling $peyer's plan a tremendous middle class victory. Fools believe them. Greedy predators were so pleased with Garodnick's performance betraying constituents to further enrich them that they sat him into a safe, lucrative batter's box where he mingles with billionaire predators asking them for money waiting for their next opportunity to bankroll a reliable corrupt politician.

De Blasio and Garodnick are just two typical corrupt NYC politicians owned by greedy REBNY/Wall Street predators bankrolling them. Corrupt politicians falsely claim the greedy predators bankrolling them are also constituents somehow justifying their betrayal of constituents insufficiently bankrolling them. The PCVST TA Board is worse, much worse than mere corrupt NYC politicians. The PCVST TA Board had only one constituent - the PCVST community, in other words - us. There was no alternate constituency. After Speyer walked away, Garodnick and de Blasio could never deliver PCVST and our PCVST homes right back into the teeth of the same greedy REBNY/Wall Street predators bankrolling them without a complicit, corrupted PCVST TA Board, on record as the worst TA Board in history.

We still don't know if the disgraced, incredibly conflicted PCVST TA Board and major REBNY predator Brookfield remain business partners. We were never informed of the circumstances underlying that 100% abdication of the PCVST TA Board's fiduciary obligations owed to it's single constituency, in other words - owed to us before we were betrayed and replaced by Brookfield.

It's called Honest Services Fraud. Ask Lying, Conniving Dan and Sleazy Sheehy about it.

We were informed that a "mobile office" is scheduled by the new councilman, Powers, for August 7th at the Stuyvesant Town Community Center (I think it's for 3 hours). And I think we're asked to "rsvp" if we want to attend.

Just think about all of that. Just for the sake of appearances and lack of conflict of interest, and supposed independence: how can it be hosted by the enemy (Stuyvesant Town) if Powers wants to help us with our "concerns" regarding housing???

WHO arranged this? WHICH Stuyvesant Town/Blackstone employee set it up?

HOW MUCH IS STUYVESANT TOWN/BLACKSTONE CHARGING FOR 3 HOURS OF USAGE? IF IT ISN'T CHARGING, WHY NOT?

WHO IS GOING TO BE THERE? IDENTIFIED STUYVESANT/BLACKSTONE EMPLOYEES? DISGUISED OR ANONYMOUS SPIES OF THE LANDLORD?

WHAT/WHO IS GOING TO BE RECORDED?

WHO IS GOING TO BE ALLOWED TO SPEAK? ASK QUESTIONS?

WHY WOULD POWERS PUT HIMSELF IN BLACKSTONE'S DEBT THIS WAY IF HE WERE INTENT ON HELPING US?

THINK ABOUT THIS FACT: HELD IN A BLACKSTONE VENUE, CONTROL OVER COMMENTS, QUESTIONS, "CONSTITUENT/TENANT" ANGER CAN BE HANDLED SWIFTLY: CALL SECURITY TO ESCORT/DRAG OUT THE "OFFENDING" INDIVIDUAL.

HOW CAN THIS BE A DEMOCRATIC EXERCISE WHEN AN INDIVIDUAL CAN BE HAULED OUT BY HOVERING CORPORATE "GOONS" OR, AT THE VERY LEAST, RECORDED AND USED AGAINST A TENANT?

WHY WOULD POWERS HOLD THIS WHERE HE LIVES? HE APPEARS TO BE A WHOLLY OWNED POLITICAL ASSET OF BLACKSTONE.

However, another source familiar with the matter said “wet walls” per se weren’t really the point of these permits. “The reality is that it’s a permit that lets them renovate apartments,” the source said.

Can’t say I’m surprised by this, nor am I surprised by the name of the person in charge of keeping these permits open.

If one reads the Yelp reviews of Stuyvesant Town apartments, it becomes apparent how disastrous things have become.
The defiling and degradation of the Oval, the garbage and dog shit all over the place, overcrowding of apartments, noise, uncarpeted floors.
As Elizabeth Barrett Browning said in her poem, "Let me count the ways."
But I guess she didn't live in Stuy Town with 4 college bros living above, no carpeting, screaming, braying, clomping throughout the night.
The used rubbers in the stairwell are the true piece de resistance.

Go to the Yelp link on the banner page of the STR blog.
In the sort box, sort by "Newest First" The review date is 7/18/2018.

"I am a manager for EMS and have been a member of service for 33 years; my wife is a dental office manager here in NYC. We are hardworking, middle-class, professional adults with a 19 year old girl and a 15 year old boy.'..............etc.

I posted the entire Yelp review on an earlier thread of the STR blog.

Here is the SPS response:

"Comment from Peter W. of StuyTown Apartments
Business Manager 7/19/2018 Dear Monica,

By now our CEO, Rick Hayduk, has contacted you to discuss the unfortunate situation you found yourself in. I would like to stress that we did in fact offer you and your family temporary housing in one of our other apartments in addition to providing you with a rent credit, despite the fact the leak affecting your apartment was not caused by us, but by another resident. We pride ourselves on always taking a "good neighbor" approach to resolving issues that arise and feel very strongly that we did so in your cases as well.

Best regards,

Peter"

I'll take the word of an EMS manager any day over SPS.

Someone needs to show this link to the spineless Keith Powers. If anyone needed it, this is proof that the events here are NOT just for residents and their guests, WHICH IS A COMPLETE VIOLATION OF THE ZONING LAWS FOR THIS PROPERTY. This is also far from the first time that this kind of thing - the outside world being invited onto the property to partake of the goings on meant strictly for residents/guests - has happened here. The greenmarket itself has done it in the past and I believe some Christmas events were advertised on outside websites.

The former TA President Marsh wrote a gushing with gratitude letter in Town & Village about how grateful he is for the property management even naming the legal department Fred Knapp, the security Bill McClellan (who disappeared along with Eddie Grace) and a whole bunch of names that are all now Ivanhoe Cambridge Blackstone BBP ST Owner property managers here. Re He makes it sound he they saved his life from a terrible big bad monster, he is so gushing with appreciation and indebtedness.

There are 2 things for certain when you read that letter.

1) The PCV ST TA Board has now told tenants 3 contradicting stories about how they made the Blackstone deal happen. Certainly 2 of the 3 are lies and possibly all three are lies if the TA Board comes out with a 4th version of how they made the Blackstone deal happen.

2)The PCV ST TA Board is not nonexistent according to former President Marsh they are working with property management. According to former President Marsh they are indebted with gratitude for property management. Instead of representing the tenants the current TA Board is working with BPP ST Owner legal department Fred Knapp and Security on a big deal report on illegal hotels in PCV ST.
According to now PCV ST TA Board President Steinberg that big deal PCV ST Tenant Association Board President Marsh illegal hotel report has a big deal bed bug correlating report that the PCV ST TA Board has been working on with Ivanhoe Cambridge Blackstone BPP ST Owner legal department Fred Knapp and Blackstone Ivanhoe Cambridge BPP ST Owner security department.

According to PCV ST President Steinberg the AirBNB illegal hotels and correlating bed bugs come at awesomely burdensome costs.

Meanwhile the PCV ST Presidents Marsh and Steinberg refuse to tell tenants in which buildings, floors and apartments are the hotels and the bed bugs.
The PCV ST Presidents Marsh and Steinberg refuse to release their highly publicized reports on AirBNB hotels and bed bugs.
The PCV ST Presidents Marsh and Steinberg and that other TA Board member in the NY Times made a big deal getting all of this publicity for themselves and then thanked themselves with oozing gratitude about how great they themselves are yet we are still stuck with the bed bug AirBNB hotels.

Yes, things are really bad here, gross and unsanitary garbage all around some are even lugging luggage on wheels into our buildings, elevators and next door in illegal AirBNB hotels.

The PCV ST TA Board is not nonexistent. According to the TA Bard Presidents Marsh and Steinberg they are working with Fred Knapp, Blackstone Ivanhoe Cambridge General Counsel Legal Department instead of working with tenants.

Open the books PCV ST Presidents. Release the reports too.

Oh, I am not saying that the subway construction is Blackstone's fault, just that extreme noise exists. Now, Blackstone could take pro-active steps, including giving a rent discount for those who live there. I don't think that has been done, but I'm willing, more than willing, to make it known, if so.

Stuy Town Reporter said...

I am close to tears, and not of joy, when I read what some residents have to put up with. Over at the TA Facebook, one resident posted photos of the mess that our recycling/garbage area looks. I posted similar photos myself. And then there is this from another resident:

>>And a warning. Do not get your “free” apartment painting. Left my place a MESS. Never heard back from Sabatino or GG. SPOTS ALL OVER THE FLOORS. I have photos. COMPLETE MESS. SPLATTERS. CLOTHES RUINED. TABLE RUINED. SPOTS ALL OVER<<

No one should have to put up with this. Period. And it is not the duty of residents to call it in. There should be someone from Management or PS who checks ALL the buildings, every day.

Hey, there is a lot of coverage on the asbestos at the Flatiron steam pipe explosions so Town & Village covers the topic. So why didn't Town & Village cover the asbestos exposure at the new management office construction when Hillman Consulting LLC and Fred Knapp were writing up the the Asbestos Assessment Report? Asbestos is dangerous. The new management office construction blew a lot of debris into our homes that they even admitted were toxic substances that were dug up. Does anyone know anything about Hillman Cosulting LLC Asbestos Assessors?

As far as I'm concerned, I pay my rent on time and don't need to have anything more to do with this nasty place. Can't wait for my lease to be up so I'm out of this overpriced slum. I will spread the word far and wide that this is an overpric d filthy shithole that no one in their right mind should even THINK of moving to.

For some reason they are deliberately running the property into the ground and turning it into a fetid slum. Incompetent and nasty. She should have gone with Habersham. Totally unprofessional people.

These photographs should be posted far and wide on social media and apartment-seeking sites. People need to know what they will be letting themselves in for if they rent here. MetLife used to get "Best Landlord" citation every year by some newspaper and they earned the title. This bunch of low class racketeers should get the "award" for being one of the most destructive landlords in NYC. They are determined to make living here as expensive and unpleasant an experience as possible. They are total morons and to the point of being grifters. The people in the Boca resort (if it really was a resort) must have been so glad to be rid of Hayduk. He doesn't know how to run a property except into the ground. He's not a good manager at all and he should stick his "good neighbor" talk up his ass until he learns how to be a good manager. He should run a flophouse on skid row because that's where he would fit right in as manager. That would be at his level of managerial skill.

The city is already sold and the last and largest middle class community sold out by the REBNY politician partiers. At least this candidate won't do as the last one, partying with REBNY, taking hundreds of thousands from REBNY chairman and StuyTown destroyer Speyer, and staffing the attorney general office with REBNY Speyer's staff.

My porter has HAD IT in my building. It takes him at least 2 hours to clean up the recycle area.

Yes. Asbestos. That was dug up from the old 17th street buildings that this complex is built upon when they excavated for the new management office. They tore through the landfill and uncovered the old 17th street buildings that used asbestos when they were built. Asbestos and a long list of toxins were released when they excavated for the new management office. Weird that Fred Knapp filed a change of height document with the DOB end of that year long after the excavation took place to falsely alter the depth of the dig. good luck to all who lived on the site of the new management office big dig.

IMPORTANT REQUEST:

Please post the precise law regarding zoning and who can and cannot pour in here for "events" in this residential community.

R7?

WHICH, EXACTLY, IS THE LAW (OR VARIANCE) ALLOWING A LANDLORD TO STAGE COMMERCIAL EVENTS PROVIDING THAT ONLY RESIDENTS AND GUESTS ARE PERMITTED?

Is the law one of New York City or New York State?

Thank you.

Stuy Town Reporter said...

I am working on the R7 details. Waiting for someone in a higher office to get back to me. (Yeah, I know, don't hold your breath, but I have to go through the paces, at least.)

>>Hayduk has lost control, and it’s pretty obvious in the fact that they try and sugarcoat their major failures with events and Adirondack chairs. Rick, I have no idea how you sleep at night you evil human being.<<

I agree about losing control and have posted the same. Of course, it could just be a devious plan. That said, I have to caution not to use language that is inflammatory. I have posts that were not passed, and some, which are passed, are borderline. Real borderline.

Hayduk has not lost control. All of this is a calculated effort by Blackstone to collect outrageous rents any way they can . The demo is now largely students, city subsidized and transients with a minority of old time residents and families who move out after a rent raise in one or two years. Works great for them. They throw in a few crap entertainments and they get a following. Believe me , I hear praise for Hayduk among my long time tenant friends. Once and for all Hayduk is not running this dump. He is the messenger who carries out orders.

And it takes a seriously deranged and sick human being to carry out the orders of the people above him, especially when so many lives are at stake.

People still have the ability to say NO. He chooses not to, and therefore is responsible. How he sleeps at night is beyond me.

Stuy Town Reporter said...

It we take insidiousness for granted as coming from Blackstone, then it does seem that everything is going according to plan. When anyone moves out, Blackstone and their reps (of which Rick is one) will make lemonade out of a lemon. The rent charged will be greater, and if the apartment is not renovated with a new AC unit below the window, Blackstone will gladly renovate it. Blackstone really doesn't lose.

Some of my long term resident friends are excited about the new 14th St gym. Anything that Blackstone puts out there seems to entice them. It in utterly unbelievable that they charge market renters for gym membership. One would be surprised how many are in Hayduk’s corner. And I am not just talking about the vile cheerleaders.

The area outside my building on the dumping site has been full of moving debris including a dirty couch and scads of boxes all day. Unbelievable how this doesn’t bother some people. Unfortunately I have been unable to attend their tent meetings on Thursdays due to work. I would really like to bring that up to Hayduk and his posse. Not that it would do much good. A couple of years ago I went and they genially dismissed my smoke odor complaints which were later solved by a great PS officer. I doubt that Powers will take this unsanitary dumping on either.

Current weather forecast for the evening of 7/25/18: 90% chance of precipitation with a chance of a thunderstorm. But the show, this very loud movie, must go on. There are idiots out there right now (5.37 PM) in the Oval for this Carnival Cruise event. Sad.

There has to be a reason why they are running the place as a slum. I can't believe it is simply incompetence and stupidity. They renovate apartments to rent them out at a rent that is far above what is really worth, but they make living conditions so unbearable that nobody stays beyond the end of their lease. Many people break their lease because they just can't stand the filth and noise and "out-to-lunch" management. I do know for a fact that word is getting around that this is nowhere even close to being a decent place to live. Even relatives in California (which has its own housing problems) have heard that StuyTown is a seedy dump. They didn't hear it from me (I am embarrassed to let it be known what it's like here), but they say they read or heard that is very poorly run and has a lot of students.
It's a well-known fact that all NY politics are totally corrupt and owned by developers. Until the cancer that is Albany and City Hall is cleaned out there will be no change and things will just get worse. It must be horrible for the older folks who have been here for years to have to see their formerly quiet and pleasant homes be turned into what it has become something of a laughingstock.

Can’t believe they are showing that stupid movie in the rain. Unbelievable. Hopefully the second one will be rained out.

6:10 pm. Nope. People are sitting with their umbrellas up watching the movie! Hopefully, there will be a deluge tomorrow night and "music" will be cancelled! Please God, have mercy on us!

I had to go see, even though it was drizzling. Yes, they are out there for the second film!

The vast majority, if not all, of these furniture dumpings trace to single transient "room mates" vacating their tiny cubbyholes during middle of the night moves out of former PCVST residences transformed into the chopped up dormitory quarters Black$tone aggressively promotes soliciting the highly profitable transient PCVST population demo it covets most.

Before Speyer, these now commonplace, almost daily furniture dump sightings never took place in PCVST. Now they seem more frequent than ever. Note to Just Call Rick: JUST LIKE DOGSHIT EVERYWHERE, TRANSIENT FURNITURE DUMPINGS SCATTERED THROUGHOUT THE PCVST RESIDENTIAL COMPLEX ON A ROUTINE BASIS IS NOT LUXURY LIVING.

There are actually hundreds more publicly advertised listings soliciting single, short term transient "room mates" than listings by illegal hotel "hosts" publicly soliciting illegal, shortest term transient hotel guests.

The truth is Black$tone has no clue about the true identity/background of hundreds, possibly thousands, of illegal transients temporarily lodged in tiny cubbyholes packed into former PCVST residences transformed into inappropriate, chopped up dormitory quarters and/or illegal hotels.

The truth is Black$tone does not give a FLYING F$$K about the safety, security and overall degraded QOL of genuine PCVST residents actually residing in genuine PCVST residences.

Did they say anything about R7 zoning?

There goes my vote next election. And if he comes door to door I will tell him why. I doubt that he will address the garbage dumping either.

Anonymous said...

Strongly agree with the above comment. Isis or ax murderers could be our neighbors. It is becoming all transience. The only ones staying are the rent stabilized long term tenant who are diminishing in number and the city subdsized. Yes the are here, no names on the door .

Anonymous said...

Powers had better not acost me to ask for my vote! I will give him an earful that will sting! He doesn't represent us in any way whatsoever. He only represents his Masters.

Anonymous said...

I don't think Keith Powers, like Garodnik, would dare to do anything about all the illegal stuff that goes on here because he depends so much on the campaign donations from REBNY, Blackstone, etc. Shelly Silver is by no means an anomaly - he just happened to get caught.

Anonymous said...

Goodbye Powers. Enjoy your 3.5 more years in office, but if you can’t stick up for your constituents in the first year (when you know people are looking), then you are a lost cause. Laws are being broken here and you are running scared because big bad RE is involved.

Grow up and grow a pair.

"Now although too little too late to take on the big predators Town & Village says a candidate for attorney general promises not to take money from REBNY."

You are funny. Town & Village might as well be run by the TA. They are about the same. Cheerleaders for our Overlords.

Town&Village is a joke. Completely owned by management. Never a bad word or editorial.

Anonymous said...

T&V has always been management-friendly and mean to tenants who had any issues with management.

These photographs need to be displayed far and wide. Are they copyrighted, STR? I know they are your property.

Hard to believe this is the same Stuyvesant Town that once was a pristine, tree-filled oasis I grew up in. The property has been well and truly trashed. It looks like it's been vandalized. Very sad. The barbarians have well and truly taken over.

Is this Blackstone's signature mark on properties they buy? Do they turn every place they buy into a slum? It seems so deliberate and I just don't understand why.
