What's that saying about a sucker born every day?

DeBlasio and Blackrock worked out "a deal" designed to give the false impression of creating affordable housing. There is nothing "affordable" about the apartments being used for this scam. Now this sleazy, ambling buffoon thinks he can run for President! What a joke!

Senseless and an abomination!!! We were denied on the lottery with no reason given.

As a side note, why was Mr.Dunns remarks on the picture used with solar panels so awful the TA turned of commentin. He is right about exhaust with those trucks. More zoning violations and more pollution to make the rabel happy. Bro Getting sick from tacos and beer is an amenity right?

Don’t we have enough food Bourne illness with the STYCAF?

I noticed that on the conversation that was terminated by the moderator the notorious, nasty, smarmy woman was, as usual, insisting on getting the last word. Always has to be oppositional and contrary and snide. I think she was the reason the thread was turned off. That wasn't on the TA page. The TA doesn't run the page that the discussion was on.

I consider it a public service to spread the word far and wide about what a rotten, disgusting hellhole this place is. Management doesn't give a toss about noise, cold apartments, dog shit, human shit - nothing. All they care about is collecting rent on each unit.

Maybe we could all get together and chip in enough to pay for a full-page ad in The Times about what a "must to avoid" this dump is?

Hayduk should be really, really ashamed of himself. What a failure of a Manager he is. Unless, of course, his way of running the place into the ground is part of Blackstone's Business Plan for the property.

My friend "dined" at the 5 Turd Stuyvesant Town "Café."
She enjoyed their "artisanal" treats and the lukewarm tepid coffee.
All for $19.
What a treat!
She has the....ahem...Hershey Squirts the past two days.
The first thing the doctor asked her where she dined recently. "Probably food poisoning," he said.
"Hmmm...I ate at the eColi 5 Turd Café the day my 'issues' began.
In fact, weren't they closed down by the Board of Health for a time for sanitary violations."
A WORD TO THE WISE...Stay away!

How about some fu*kin' heat???

The FB page you refer to is the STPCV Tenants FB page, not the STPCV TA FB page. I am one of the administrators of that page. I edited out an insult to me on that thread (I told the poster after the post are you not aware that I am an admin. of this page?). I then left most of the posts in, deleted some but I then cut off further comments. I have nothing wrong with having opposing points of view but I do not suffer management shills lightly and I will not allow the usual type of “Get a life”. “Get a grip’” “if you don’t like noise, move to_____”, etc. insults. Also, if you noticed, none of my facts were challenged. If they want to be a Management “Cheerleader” and insult posters, they can post at the TA FB page but not at the Tenants FB page and not on my watch.

1st Avenue sucks Heard the thai place is also closing. There are no restaurants or bars to hang out nearby or meet a friend. We are Moving to brooklyn, cheaper + better.

Edmund Dunn. Bravo! Right on!

By now, many of us know that the person in question who is supporting having ILLEGAL food trucks at the flea market that VIOLATE THE ZONING LAWS THAT APPLY TO STPCV is a contrary, unpleasant jerk. May I suggest that you ban her from your page? I groan every time I see her name and read what she has to say on your FB page and on the TA’s page. If you ban her, at least people will only have to put up with her on the other page.

There is always Starbucks!

The zoning laws, as well as other laws, are constantly being broken.

@3:44 PM, no matter what anybody says that lady will always chip in with a negative, snide, oppositional, snarky remark. She must be hell to live with. Always has to have the last word and be dismissive of anybody else's POV, no matter what.

I doubt the TA will ban her from their page because they love the cheerleaders and people who put down anybody who doesn't go along with Management's antics. The posters who they consider "negative" are those who justifiably complain about what goes on here and those who question the TA's total disregard for legitimate complaints.

The TA is an arm of Management. That has been made very, very clear.

TA still asking for dues. Are they crazy?

Anonymous said...

Any manager for this disgusting company would do the same

Anonymous said...

Starbucks for wine and dinner? o the life here is worse now than suburbia

Anonymous said...

It is disgusting especially the pot smoking which is rampant

Anonymous said...

My apologies all! I did not have my glasses on and it’s not the first time I’ve gotten confused between threads. I guess I am bit shell shocked by hearing stories of people being kicked out or being tempered on the TA page. Thank you Mr. Dunn for your reply and the work you do on behalf of us.

And yes, no one could challenge you on those facts.

I wonder who in City Government gets paid-off to look the other way? Too bad we don't have an honest Mayor and City Council.

Apart from a short burst this afternoon, we've had no heat today. This, on a day that has been in the high thirties and low forties with a biting cold wind. These people absolutely disgust me and I can't imagine Hayduk being a successful hotel manager. I wonder what kind of resorts he ran? Couldn't have been good ones with him in charge.

Anonymous said...

Goddamn pot smoking animals not only stink up other apartments but the lobby and my building is the security building.

Anonymous said...

Hatful does not control the heat. He does make excuses but despicable Blackstone is responsible for the lack of heat and disgusting nature of this property which has become a dorm hellhole.

Anonymous said...

The TA has nerve posting anything about dues. Dues for what? Being s management parasite.

Anonymous said...

If pot is legalized in NY, this dorm dump sty will be impossible to live in.

"I wonder who in City Government gets paid-off to look the other way?"

Everyone!

Screaming, yelling, loud music at all hours of the night, stomping on the carpetless floors above....what a pleasure living in PigStuy Town.
No help at all from Public Safety or Management.
What a joy living here!
Is there any recourse?
I don't have the time or money to deal with private lawyers.
Calls to 311 or the precinct are worthless.
Must I grin and bear it?
Surely others are in this predicament.
Any thoughts or advice?

8:50AM on Tuesday morning, March 19th. Temperature outside is 37 degrees. Pipes ice cold. I live on a lower floor. Help. It's freezing in here.

I also live on a lower floor and am freezing. So sick of this SLUM.

People came from "the old countries" to escape feudalism and systems where the poorer citizens were ground under the heels of the "ruling classes." Somehow, I think we have gone full circle. Those who fled persecution have become the persecutors. Sad.

A puff of heat, a whisper of warmth and then....ICE COLD PIPES.

We all knew that the deal with the city was bogus. The non-affordability of these affordable apartments underscores the traitorous played by the Tenant Association during the sale..cozy with the mayor, helping to sell a bogus deal to the community.

Anonymous said...

A huge ad for the lottery is plastered across the inside of the elevator doors. I wouldn't call them affordable apartments at all! Who are they kidding! This lottery thing is a scam worked out by DeBlazio, the TA (probably) and the slimy politicians we are stuck with. I swear I will never, ever vote for any of the current incumbents. They are all bottom-feeding crooks. DeB must be the most corrupt Mayor we've had since Jimmy Walker. He and his wife are opportunistic lowlifes. Nothing about that Blackstone deal and the "affordable housing" lotteries was on the up-and-up.

Stuy Town Reporter said...

I saw that in our elevator. And it is huge. Amazing!

Anonymous said...

This terrible deal with the affordable lottery scheme was orchestrated by deBlasio, Garodnick, the TA and other local pols. It killed this community. This Blackstone company has created a slum dorm. I knew from the start that this deal was crap. I will not vote for any of the incumbents who were responsible for the deal either. That sign in the elevators is a farce.

Anonymous said...

Management's advertising always smacks of desperation. Maybe if they ran this place better, took care of the noise, puking hoes and bros and all the dog shit, the place would get back the excellent reputation it had years ago and was famous for, they would find it easier to rent.

Not much chance of that happening under this Bullshit Artist Hayduk's watch. He doesn't give a flying fuck about the quality of life here.

Completely Fed Up said...

People who are less polite or angrier or less afraid would simply tear down those lying lottery signs.

People living in a different kind of neighborhood would remove the lying offensive material.

Anonymous said...

I pay half the lottery price for a real 2 bedroom, so it appears I am the lottery winner...woohoo! It's not Powerball but hey it's a nice chunk of change in my pocket each month. However, let me say I would never pay the lottery price to live here. This is a crappy neighborhood in a dying borough of a corrupt city, in a corrupt state!

Anonymous said...

They will never take care of the bros and students here as they require them to fill the apartments. They will get worse and increase in numbers. Hayduk may be phony but any manager would run the place the same way.

Anonymous said...

If only there was an effective tenants association.

Anonymous said...

Unfortunately we have no real TA . The one that advertises as a TA is linked to management. It is a do nothing phony organization. If tenants stopped paying dues as I believe some have, maybe they would fold.

Anonymous said...

@Completely Fed Up: I think the reason nobody as removed or defaced the ads in the elevators is because of the cameras in the elevators. I can guarantee that they would notice that on their tapes and identify the perp! Of course, if you're getting raped or mugged in the elevator, or a dog is relieving itself or a bro is puking or shitting in the elevator, the camera will be out of order. That's the Styduk way.

Anonymous said...

Who do these grifters think they are kidding? There is NOTHING affordable for most people who are looking for an affordable apartment. THEY think we are as stupid as they are avaricious.

Tear the fucking place down already. It has outlived its usefulness. Otherwise, turn it over to NYCHA and let the low rent tenants stay. We certainly couldn't do any worse under NYCHA.

Anonymous said...

It is not just the bros + hoes that have ruined the complex, the blatant disregard for others you share walls with. At 5:30 am every weekend morning, we wake to the sound of hammering \\\\\\\\\yes hammering Loud heavy hammer which lasts approximately fifteen minutes. Dear tenants, Classy parents who are over the age of 35 do not live here either. We know the individual and it's not a student bro. Calling PS for 15 minutes is silly, they will not arrive and if they did, the hammering is over. Just enough to wake myself and my baby up. There is a certain type who rents here an they are mainly lowlifes in many forms. Not just Bro Hos.

Just got an email from Stuytown about needing more room with apartments available. The best was 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom in Peter Cooper for $12,000 a month!!!

"Just got an email from Stuytown about needing more room with apartments available. The best was 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom in Peter Cooper for $12,000 a month!!!"

That is really funny! Anybody who could afford that rent could live in a real high-end joint. Only a group of at 14 room mates could afford that. Sounds more like a commune than an apartment when it comes down to who would occupy it

Anonymous said...

If you all hate this place so much...why don't you move?

I moved-in to the complex this January and I have nothing but great things to say. I've been in some pretty terrible landlord-tenant situations. Stuy Town has been doing a great job so far. I'm sorry that none of you can see that.

You seriously come on here and say that having lived here for a whopping 2 and a half months?? Most of us on here have been here for decades, and have seen what has become of this place under Rick and his management crew. It is far from the pretty picture that someone who literally just moved in can see.

They are very good and receptive to the new renters, especially the suckers paying over $4k/month, but that will change. It does for all the cheerleaders who go through their period of loving this place until things turn bad, and they almost always turn bad. Just wait until you have a problem.
