The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly

Kudos to the Security Guard on Saturday around 5:15 pm who actually made bicyclists get off their bikes as they tried to pass him by. He was stationed, for a bit of time, in front of the northern Oval playground (#10). Of course, once these cyclists were out of his view, they got back on their bikes. But an attempt was made. And the no bicycle riding sign is back up at the Oval guard booth.

Today, Sunday, was a disaster. Those green rails were back and no security was around to make riders get off their bikes.

On top of that... is Playground 10 for the use of sunbathers and picnics???

Pretty arrogant to set yourself up there when it's supposed to be for the use of those who want to participate in recreational play, including, many times, children. Fuckin' NYU hogs.

And what's up with the sunbathers on those mini-golf mounds? Right in front of the guard booth--and today with a dog plopped on the grass there, too!

Oh, and if you think I'm a dog hater, you are wrong. This is my favorite dog in the world, and I want to invite him to Stuy Town....

I've been living here for 30 years and have seen the property go down to level of being a total slum. I wish they'd just level it. Tishman Speyer have reduced it to their own level. Nasty, avaricious scum bastards. At this point I don't give a fuck what happens to PCVST.

These photographs should be on the Stuvesant Town Website instead of the ridiculously photoshopped depictions of Utopia that Tishman-LIAR have there! These photos really tell the story of what TS has done to Stuyvesant Town!

What about arming the Oval security guard at the bike barricade with handouts listing the bike & pet regulations?

This weekend TS allowed a company to post signs throughout PCV to advertise an "estate sale" taking place in 7 PCV. These signs were stuck in the grass in several locations, pasted along PCV Road and in buildings. When I asked a guard about them he told me "management oked it". Another parting gift from Fat Jerry

I believe they did that in the beginning (just the bike regs), when the barricades were introduced. Another failure.

How about arming the guard with a taser gun. That should solve the problem quickly!

I would suggest to the new management company that takes over when Tishman Scumbag crawls away, that they train and authorize Security to hand out FINES to people who break the rules such as dog owners, cyclists and people throwing litter around the place. Hit em where it hurts: the wallet.

Please STR, take down that terrible photograph because, photoshopped or not, it is so repulsive I almost barf myself when I see it. I am afraid to click on this website now!

I've yet to witness an officer stationed at the little hut across from the putting green stand *outside* said hut, stopping cyclists. People who look like tenants whiz past the fountain, steering wide around those useless barricades, but I've seen more and more delivery guys walking their bikes through the area.

The ambivalence re: enforcing rules like no biking and dogs off the grass trickles down from on high. If TS doesn't give a fuck, then mgmt doesn't give a fuck, and you can be sure those pitiful excuses for rent-a-cops don't give a fuck.

It was such a mistake to move back here. Sigh.
