Don't forget that.

They take illegal, fire prone walls very seriously.

I saw a forklift unloading a big stack of tin 2x4's (used for pressure walls), outside 522 E 20th this afternoon.

Just go to the Buildings Dept web site, go on the Building Information System, select Manahttan block 978 Lot 1 or Block 972 Lot (ST and PCV) pick out a building and select permits. You will see tons of them for pressureized walls.

Something must have happened either last night or in the early morning at our favorite cafe. Cop cars, Stuy Town Public Safety. Two cop cars are still there.

Maybe somebody choked on the stale crusts? Any ambulances there?

I saw the commotion at the Oval Cafe, the were posting in the ground a no dogs sign.
I guess they have been turning the living rooms into bedrooms and replacing it with the dining room and French Doors. If this is illegal, why?

Tommy, I swear you don't make sense a lot.

The NYPD has been in the Oval several nights this week. They were checking the study one night and there was loud moaning coming from the cafe area another night. I can't see anything there at night with the jungle plants so I try not to pass through.

Agreed. Thanks for the chuckle, STR.

On Sep 5 I submitted a complaint...to know if the partition put up in an apt on our floor was legal, Going on 1 month. So far there's been no inspection.

Let us know if you do hear anything.

Do you really think that management gives a rat's ass about what anybody on this blog says?

They'll do what they want as long as they want considering the fact that they have the police, fire department and politicians in their pocket.

You can rant all you want but unfortunately all the noise will fall on deaf ears.

Yes. There have been some changes, even if relatively minor, that have occurred after problems have been mentioned here and elsewhere. But on the bigger issues, no. Yet that doesn't mean we remain quiet.

Remaining silent surely is not the solution.

I'm being told that Stuy Town is longer removing pressurized walls either. Does anybody know it that's true and if they have the right to refuse?
