CW Capital Hopes to Get These Type of Tenants

They could be students. Or, perhaps, Young Urban Professionals. No one over 30. No families.

Party Time in ST/PCV!!!

Party on! That's what's it all about here! Right?

The two bottom pictures look like my upstairs neighbors!

sure they do. they really are no problem and a huge asset.

1. they never call and complain. never. their parents pay the rent on time or early.

2. they annoy other tenants, making CWC and CR extremely happy;

they make a mess in the halls, so what. no biggie. our lame ass porters are contract hired anyway. WIN WIN

STR, are the second and third ads photoshopped, or are they real ads posted at NYU??

Right. Expect more of this. Much more. And more MCIs. Many more. Still waiting to hear from the mayor's office. Hah!

Well....

HOleyman too. Whoever posted that must know that the office does not return calls or emails.

Our porters are NOT lame-assed.

I guess they're looking for the type of suburban and flyover state geniuses who walk down the middle of the street without checking for traffic. Hey--it's their America.

STR, Good to know that you think anyone under the age of 24 is a nuisance. Meanwhile, the family with the baby incessantly crying next door, the old couple who leaves trash in my hall- they're welcome to their indignant glares, because even though I'm quiet, I'm young! How do I dare!

Mine is. Speak for yourself 4 5 8

Even the legitimate ad is offending, who strolls 3 across in traffic.

5:21 Its not an age issue. It is a lifestage issue. This community of families and working professionals does not coincide with party rebels. The two lifestages don't mix together.

Ok TA can remove attempted rape story on home page and focus on ongoing successful rape of tenants.

CompassCrock WISHES it could get some young professionals to rent in Stuy Town but word is out that it's nothing more than a trashy dorm. People at work were talking about Stuy Town the other day and words they were using included dorm, fratmosphere, filthy, noisy. It's why they have to lure people in with gift cards and referral bonuses. If it were a nice place to live, it would sell itself.

meh.
young people are more fun than ol people.
I'd rather stay with the young 'uns.

Reading between the MCI's, what makes you think CW Capitol has any intention of selling, they ain't done milking this community out of every last cent. They even give Carpet Baggers are bad name.

5:24 pm: you are absolutely right. This used to be a nice place to live, but not now. I have been going with a friend to apartment hunt (for her, not me) and in various places we visited to look at apartments (co-ops) when we got chatting to people, brokers, etc., when I mentioned that I live in Stuyvesant Town the remarks were invariably "Isn't that a student dorm now?" and "I heard that place really went downhill and is full of students." I heard those remarks over and over. I used to be proud to say I lived in Stuyvesant Town, now it's a bit of an embarrassment because word has really got around as to how much it has changed and not for the better, unfortunately.

It's hard to believe there used to be a waiting list to get in here and that it was considered an Oasis in The City. SMFH

7:02 pm: I am assuming that you do not have a job and, therefore, do not need a good night's sleep. When and if you ever get a job and need to sleep without being woken constantly and kept awake by frats and sorority gals partying the night away, maybe you will change your tune.

I am 58 and have lived here all my life. I have seen this place go from a quiet, peaceful, desirable place to live for people of all ages to a nasty, noisy, dirty dorm. If that is what you like, so be it.

Btw, I have nothing against young people, but I do detest self-absorbed slobs and that is what we have an awful lot of at this point in time.

If you find everyone under 40 to be so annoying, move out of your apartment and go elsewhere. Oh, your rent is about 1/3 of market, so you are willing to whore yourself out and stay? Fine. But STOP WHINING if that is the case.

12:29 your disdain for working class people is a very unattractive quality.

Anonymous said...

12:29 just because we work for a living that does NOT make us whores. You leave.

three nights this week kept up till after 2Am. How do decent, work-oriented people even get up in time for work? this place is such a disgrace> I can't imagine anyone really wanting to live here except the inconsiderate slobs that have invaded and taken over our once beautiful, calm, quiet community.

STR - these mashed together words are very hard to read. Please After 3-4 tries I just give up.change the verification method.

Our floor is all families and kids, except one apartment. I'm embarrassed by the fact that 3 or 4 students moved onto our floor with all the strollers, 5 year old artwork on the door and kids running in and out. If I were 20, there is no way I'd move into the building, let alone this floor. Yet the students drink, smoke, scream, yell and feel quite comfortable not giving a damn about the rest of the floor. Embarrassing really- pure WT.

Just saw this post. Is it satirical or the real deal?
