Wake-Up Call Before 6:30 AM

So this morning, I was awakened by a loud, very loud pounding noise coming from the 20th Street loop. I looked outside and saw the outline of a light from near the corner. Oh, it must be after 8am and work has started already, I thought. But as I checked the kitchen clock, I saw it was 6:23am. Okay, STR has to do his thing and take photos. Sigh.... I took a quick shower, got dressed, and went outside with my camera. The workers had left. But, aside from the very early wake-up call, I saw this....

You will note that I saw on the left side, a discarded sofa, etc. It was there yesterday. So it wasn't picked up expeditiously at all, this being the next day. On the right was "the hole." I assume the loud pounding noise came from there. The workers were already gone. And then I saw something we are all familiar with: unpicked dog do-do. Then, a bit later, I saw those signs informing us to have a "great day" and, eh, a shot of other "things" before them.

These move out garbage items are often out there all night and are not always picked up in a timely matter. They make the property look seedy and slumlike. The TA posters find it funny and needless complaints when this is mentioned.

I hope they, the cheerleaders, enjoy the thrown out stuff and the dog crap!

This place is one big filthy, noisy shithole. Hayduk wants it that way.

I applaud those who let their dogs sh*t on the sidewalks without ever picking it up.
Clearly they are a cut above those who let their cannines sh*t and piss in the stairwells and elevators.
Nothing makes my day brighter than getting into the elevator in the morning and stepping into a puddle of piss.
What could be more enticing than a freshly laid pile of turd in the laundry room?
Yummy!
Could this be the "artisanal fare" serve at the the 5 Turd eColi Café?
Love those "amenities".

The Stuy Town Instagram page had a picture of a quote today that basically sums things up from their perspective:

“If you obey all the rules, you miss all the fun.”
-Katherine Hepburn

I think I will follow this quote when thinking about the “house rules” in this place.

Amazing! I almost never go to those pages, but there is so much! And not good stuff, either. Well, maybe good for Management....

I firmly believe there are two types of cheerleader:

1) True RS tenants who are afraid of management and the possibility of being evicted. They speak publicly in support of management, but do not truly feel that way. I know a number of people who have said this directly to me. It is a sad way to live!

2) MR tenants who need to justify why they spend a ton of money to live here. “Sure I pay $6000/month in rent, but look at all the free events and amenities I have at my doorstep.”

Whoever heard this noise should file a complaint with the department of buildings tenant advocate.

What a shame that nobody cares around here. All I see are people with these rolling luggage bags, ALL THE TIME! There is soo much illegal stuff going on around here. AND, The TA is totally silent and useless! USELESS! They TOO gave up!

There are a number of ACTIVE airBnb's at 5 Stuyvesant Oval.
Anything to say about that Susan?
Rick?
All you have to do is see the wheelies coming in and out all the time.
All that is needed to confirm this is to view the camera feeds and this can be stopped ASAP.
Ain't gonna happen.
Susan? Rick?

The TA didn't give up. They were bought and paid for.

STAND UP AND FIGHT said...

FROM STAND UP AND FIGHT

Although I might bill myself as "Stand Up and Fight," this morning was time to "Bend Over and Retch."

A brand new form of nauseating stupidity and non-parenting presented itself at approximately 9:45 a.m. as my husband and I walked past the Oval. Idiots were already out, some having rearranged a number of their deck chairs into the proper groupings for their precious selves.

A young "mother" (as my long dead father commented about "parents:" "The cats and the dogs can do it, too.") was proudly, smilingly, adoringly walking her son of about two years old to a tree (near the problematic "bandstand," another matter), explaining to him that he would urinate against that tree.

Flabbergasted and appalled, and sickened, I yelled something to the effect, of "no." My husband, who usually stays well out of the fray, called to her to take her child to the bathroom (you know the one - for residents - next to THE ICE AT STUY!).

A young "father" with a stroller and a lovely slight Irish lilt got into it with us, explaining that it was only a two year old little boy. I'll spare you the mind-boggling arguments he came up with.

I HAVE LIVED HERE 38 YEARS AND NEVER ONCE SEEN A MOTHER, FATHER, OR CARETAKER DIRECT A CHILD TO WALK TO A TREE ON THE OVAL, STAND NEAR IT AND URINATE AGAINST IT.

Last year, or maybe two years ago, one of the real Security Officers we USED TO HAVE related an incident of coming upon a student in a stairwell, squatting to defecate. When the Officer accosted him, the male student looked up at him, smiled as he defecated and instructed this Public Safety representative, "When you gotta go, you gotta go."

I guess our lovely young community of "StuyTown" families (the "parents," that is) are now teaching their tiny little ones to spread their waste upon the grass, against trees, PUBLICLY, at a tender age. This way, they will be well prepared to piss in the streets and shit on the floors of their apartment buildings when they are big boys - college boys.

I should dearly like to know how this illustrates "Management's" motto: "We are all good neighbors and today is better than yesterday."

- A thoroughly repulsed and sickened, SIT DOWN AND WEEP

PCV intercom MCI’s starting to come through. Our “esteemed” TA once again has no solution.

STR - when is your TA taking off? I think you’ll have enough volunteers in the various necessary professional fields - legal, accounting, marketing - where raising money won’t be a top priority.

The tree peeing boy has a bright future in politics peeing all over the Public or business peeing all over the Politicians and Public.

As dirty as the human feces on the hands of the tree peeing boy, so to are the hands of the politicians. Remember that when they try to shake your hand campaigning before they ignore you once in office.

In 2016 the current President admitted he buys politicians

“As a businessman and a very substantial donor to very important people, when you give, they do whatever the hell you want them to do,” Trump told The Wall Street Journal in July 2015. “As a businessman, I need that.”

https://www.theatlantic.com/politics/archive/2016/09/trump-buying-politicians/498749/

He and his billionaire friends buy both democrats and republicans no matter the party so long as they use their office to serve the billionaire and that is why StuyTown is owned by the billionaires and not the tenants.

A look at the donations to politicians by Blackstone, Steve Schwarzman, Jerry Speyer, Tishman Speyer, and that Jerry got his kid Rob Speyer top positions at City Hall with deBlasio tells you about how the deal went down and how the tenants went down with it.

These people collect politicians like they collect women - acquisitions to use for business.

Business and babes.

"We spend 95 percent of our time talking women and 5 percent talking deals," Donald Trump noted of Perelman in his recent book, "The Art of the Comeback." To which an occasional Perelman adviser adds: "His basic value is making money, money, money and collecting women."

"So the billionaire writes checks, a hundred thousand dollars to Democrats here, a hundred thousand to Republicans there. He chairs presidential fund-raisers and hires -- "acquires" is the verb of choice -- some former politicians and their friends."

"Indeed, in his above-the-rim financial world, politicians -- even the president -- are ornaments. And Perelman collected many such baubles in New York before turning his eye toward Washington."

https://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-srv/politics/special/clinton/stories/perelman020698.htm

There is a reason the housing and assets of middle class are now in the wallets of the billionaires across the country and the New York City last and largest middle class housing enclave in the country. The Republican and Democrat politicians gave away Stuy Town and the entire country's housing market and not Blackstone is the largest landlord in the country. Thank you Bill deBlasio.

Continued part 2 The Tree Peeing boy

There is a reason the Democrats and Republicans establishment lost the Presidency. Because they screwed over their constituents and their constituents retaliated by not voting.

There is a reason the politicians like Powers still ignore constituents, but a big part of that reason lost a big job as next in line for Schumer's job, Crowley. It is a clear message to Schumer that his way of using his office to serve the wealthy and screw over the constituents is not acceptable and the money he took during the Stuy Town deal is as dirty as the tree peeing boy's hands and everything the tree peeing boy touches has human feces on it just like the politicians crap.

There is a reason there is back lash from the Public and the establishment Republicans and Democrats are denied the Oval office despite that the most extreme version of the establishment is now in it. Trump is no different then Schumer, Maloney, Hoylman, or Powers, well we know Power lobbied for Trump Soho so that is obvious.

Stuy Town city councilman worked for Donald Trump promoting Donald Trump's hotel business. Donald Trump's Secretary of Commerce Wilbur Ross owns $174,000,000 worth of Stuy Town leases that are used for dorms and airbnb type rentals. As long as Powers is Stuy Town city council the rolling luggage, student housing and loud tourist attraction - student events will pollute Stuy Town.

The politicians are bought and serve those who paid for them.

This article and see how a billionaire owns Republicans and Democrats, local NYC and up. These two long time social circle pals think as highly of politicians as they do of women. The comparison in the article is staggering.

Business and babes.

"We spend 95 percent of our time talking women and 5 percent talking deals," Donald Trump noted of Perelman in his recent book, "The Art of the Comeback." To which an occasional Perelman adviser adds: "His basic value is making money, money, money and collecting women."

Important Quotes To Remember When Meeting With Powers or any Politician who are merely ornamental baubles the billionaires collect.

“As a businessman and a very substantial donor to very important people, when you give, they do whatever the hell you want them to do,” Trump told The Wall Street Journal in July 2015. “As a businessman, I need that.”

Ronald O. Perelman, the richest man in New York City -- and therefore one of the richest men on Earth -- doesn't ask a lot of questions when the Washington money guys call. Republican, Democrat, their pitches sound alike: Won't Perelman contribute to the Republican National Committee, the Democratic National Committee, President Clinton, Bob Dole, George Pataki, Mario Cuomo, Pete Wilson, Arlen Specter, Pat Moynihan . . . ?

So the billionaire writes checks, a hundred thousand dollars to Democrats here, a hundred thousand to Republicans there. He chairs presidential fund-raisers and hires -- "acquires" is the verb of choice -- some former politicians and their friends.

"Indeed, in his above-the-rim financial world, politicians -- even the president -- are ornaments. And Perelman collected many such baubles in New York before turning his eye toward Washington."

The billionaires all have yachts and some recently acquired yacht manufacturing companies. They are creating an event industry of water sports and entertainment which needs waterfront properties in major cities with docks. The politicians are building the private industry for the corporations by giving away waterfront property even if that means removing citizens for the billionaires and the politicians are building the billionaires docks for their waterfront properties even if that means taking away sailing schools for children and giving dock contracts to billionaires as Bill de Blasio did for Farkas Family.

Bill de Blasio serves the billionaires. No citizen in their right mind would ever vote for him for any office of representing the People.

Part 1

"I am a manager for EMS and have been a member of service for 33 years; my wife is a dental office manager here in NYC. We are hardworking, middle-class, professional adults with a 19 year old girl and a 15 year old boy. When we were thinking about moving to Stuytown there were limited reviews that fit our family dynamic, instead it was mostly college kids complaining about rules. Even with all the terrible reviews online, we remained open-minded, giving them the benefit of the doubt that it was just just young adults writing these reviews who wanted to party and didn't like the rules. As a family of four, we prefer rules. We have lived in Manhattan for most of our lives, married for 23 years, and lived both uptown, midtown and now downtown. Never have we ever had any issues or complained excluding your common repairs and maintenance. When we first accepted our new apartment it turned out to be such a stressful, unorganized mess. We agreed on a move in date that correlated with our lease expiration and gave notice to our apartment. However they mistakenly gave our apartment to another family! We were told it was very hard to come by a three bedroom but they were only able to offer us a two bedroom instead. We have a older girl and a boy and we were already living in a much larger two bedroom for less money. This was the whole reason we were moving in the first place."

TBC.

Part 2

"They kind of shrugged it off, admitted it was their fault and said hopefully something will come next month. We were forced into a month to month tenancy and charged new market value in our old apartment. This added up to thousands not to mention everything was already in boxes forcing us to live in chaos. It took more than two months and we had to move again and begin staying with family. With limited space, we had to put our stuff in storage, even more of an expense. Finally a 3 bedroom apartment opened up and we moved in. This whole thing was so baffling and they still have no answers about how this whole thing happened in the first place. We asked about compensation for our added expense and were told over and over that they were working on it. Finally after time had passed we were told "I am so sorry but we unfortunately can't reimburse you, we feel it's just an unfortunate event that may have been due to our mistake but the company feels it doesn't warrant reimbursement." Mind blown! Fast forward to the couple who lives above us. We would hear TV, music (instruments and singing, poorly I might add), telephone conversations and a dog running back and forth ALL THE TIME! After us notifying management that of our quality of life was being effected, we were advised they would do an inspection to see if they were compliant with the rug policies. We never received an update and my daughter had to start sleeping in the living room it was so loud. We went on vacation for ten days and when we got to our apartment, we found the door open, it smells awful and was freezing inside. We find all the windows open and towels on our floor. Our door was not locked and every door was open, our first thought was that someone broke in. After further investigation we see more of OUR towels on the floor in the hallway and in the bathroom and mud like footprints on the vanity in the bathroom. We looked at the wood floor and it was all buckling up. When we went in to the bathroom the ceiling was hanging down with pieces of Sheetrock in the bathtub. We called over to security and found out it was a flood from our lovely tenants upstairs. I went to speak with the tenant and she explained that the leak had occurred over a week ago, yes a whole week. The next day we contacted management who looked into it and apologized for not calling to notify us even though it is their policy to do so. At this point we expected action but guess what, no sympathy, no concern, nothing. We called Debra the senior manager and explained this to her. She was always matter-of-factic at best never taking any responsibility and very unsympathetic. This women will lie right to your face with a smile, promise you the word but deliver nothing over and over. Shame on her and Stuytown for allowing this. We were told they would NOT be replacing the floor. Instead they would be sanding and refinishing the floor but we would have to leave our apartment. We expected them to pay for a hotel or whatever but when they didn't offer we had to ask and instead they left us to fend for ourselves. We were stunned. We finally had enough and called the news with over 100 different complaints from different websites in hand. Something had to be done and we felt they had some responsibility for not correcting this immediately and letting the water sit. The nightmare continued, Please contact me and I will fill you in so I can save you from this nightmare. You can email me at missm.caa@gmail.com. "

I am no fan of the late Frank Zappa, but I do like some of his work. And some of his observations. While I know little about chemistry and cannot vouch for his declaration about hydrogen, and certainly not about "the universe," generally, I can heartily agree with his sentiment:

"The most common elements in the Universe are Hydrogen and Stupidity."

MOVIE NIGHT!!! HOW THRILLING!!! The humans I observed on the steadily defiled and commercialized Oval this evening were just plain disgusting. The "face painting" nonsense and much worse: GET YOUR POPCORN HERE CONCESSION were exceedingly distressing. The "family/kids'" movie just wasn't enough barrage and intrusive stimulus.

A neighbor commented to me that "The Oval is not sacred" when it comes to little male humans being taught to direct streams of their harmful corrosive urine onto innocent, harmless, living, breathing beings (trees).

A truly perceptive, caring, thoughtful individual I know suggested to me that "one little boy" urged to urinate against a tree will be "two little boys," and then three and so on.

She is correct, since degradation and degeneration is the ruling principle under Blackstone, Beam Living, Stuytown "Property" Services, and their friends.

It occurred to me last week that a particular kind of "community" is truly being built here: one of a species of mob rule, wherein people are whipped up into frenzies in groups by horrifically loud music and visual assaults. That is another topic, though.

The destruction of not only buildings, and human lives, but the lives of trees, grass, squirrels, insects, birds are all grist for the mill to Blackstone's psychopaths. It will speed the process by which the deterioration is so far gone that it is both easier, physically, to utterly annihilate, and "legally," to obtain "permits" to condemn the "property" and eject tenants.

The anonymous poster who stated that the terminally emotionally and spiritually ill billionaires who want a water playground are now buying yacht-building facilities did not give any details. But it makes sense. WAKE UP AND LOOK AROUND. THINK AND CONSIDER AND REFLECT.

Bad news, very bad news, indeed.

Way to go Yelper! Hopefully a news station took the story and runs with it, although I’m sure some Blackstone influence will stop a story like this in its tracks.
