Oval Lawn Ravaged After Concert

The condition of Stuyvesant Town's Oval lawn is so bad that it's not ready for the further deterioration that concerts and the Farmers Market will cause this summer. Stuy Town Reporter took a walk about the Oval lawn on Saturday morning and found it in the worse shape he's ever seen, and that's saying a lot.

Here's where the concert stage was set up, leaving behind lengthy strong etchings into the ground that are now filled with water and mud:

Here's a closer look of different parts of this L-shape scarring:

And that low-lying mound in the center of the lawn, a mound that was a Tishman Speyer addition, is now a revolting mass of swampy mud giving off noxious fumes, probably coming from the stagnation of the surface water and the Brownfield gasses (supposedly trapped) below:

Amazingly, the Yunnies (Young Urban Narcissists) of Stuyvesant Town and the Yunnie visitors from the Lower East Side will still plant themselves face-up, then face-down on the smelly, swampy lawn when the sun comes out. It's all yours!

The Oval lawn is gone forever. The concert was promoted like this is a public park. One write-up even said "bring a frisbee." They had food trucks on what used to be the lawn, probably from the companies that paid TS the most. Anyone who bought from them is helping to destroy Stuy Town and TS doesn't need help with that since so far they've done a great job. We can take some joy in knowing that they didn't have the turnout they wanted. It's out of control so all we can do is wish Rob and Jerry more failures.

Tishman Speyer should be exterminated along with all the other vermin infesting Stuyvesant Town. Tishman Speyer has totally destroyed the quality of life in Stuyvesant Town just as surely as a horde of invading vandals. We no longer have an Oval lawn, we no longer have usable laundry rooms and we are seeing an upsurge in crime in the community. The hallmark of Tishman Speyer is destruction of homes and lives. May they rot in hell.

Tishman Speyer have proven beyond any shadow of doubt that they are just not up to the job of managing a residential property of this size. They try to entice new renters with all kinds of gimmicks, while at the same time they rip out a functional laundry system and replace it with bottom of the line equipment leased from an out-of-state trashy company that provides totally no service whatsoever. They can't even maintain a lawn, but have to destroy it instead by sheer ineptitude and idiocy. What a bunch of SCHMUCKS! Jerry Speyer should be awarded the SCHMUCK OF THE CENTURY award for allowing his challenged son to destroy what was once a good place to live.

Tishman Speyer, like the college-aged assholes whose parents' money they so desperately crave, does not give a damn about the legacy and tradition that is Stuy Town. I wonder how often these 18- and 19-year-old tenants-to-be ask leasing agents, "What's the deal with all the old people around here?"

With all the rain of late, I've noticed that these lanscaping geniuses have been leaving the sprinkler systems (in some places) going all night. Perhaps they have found a way to get mosquitos to pay rent,,,,

No -TS Is hoping to start a malaria epidemic to clear out buildings.
Apparently, they have infested several buildings with bedbugs but that hasn't worked to get people to move.
What's next - bubonic plague?

If you look up the word "Stupid" in the dictionary, you'll see a photo of Rob Speyer!

Yunnies, I like that term, it seems to work nicely for the author of this blog as well as the blog's respondents

Hi Nick,

Nice to see you drop by and try to protect your sales of Stuy Town apartments. I see you deleted my respectful but honest comments on your New York blog. I guess that's understandable, as money is the bottom line for you and you don't want to scare away potential clients.

Oh, it's Nick! I didn't recognize him. His nose is browner than it was last week.

Walked through the Oval today (06/19) and almost the entire center section from North to South is a giant mudbog. Seriously, you need sh**kickers to make it across, not flippy flops.

"Stuyvesant Town, a swamp runs through it !"

A west nile epidemic could wipe out all those Oval grillers !
