Management has two priorities: 1) Making sure money is made, hence upgrading and filling up apartments is their goal. "Amenities" are important in selling the place, though few residents use them. 2) If someone needs medical attention, Public Safety will be there, if alerted.

Quality of life issues are not that important, however. Things like the carpet rule or outsider dogs. These "rules" tend to be ignored, on purpose it seems. So you will see a lot that isn't taken care of properly, and complaints will be met with a creative excuse and a smile.

"Peace and quiet" must be a cruel joke, though this property is sold that way. There can be no peace and quiet as ALL apartments must be upgraded, which includes the installation of an AC unit below the window. Aside from the continual construction about the neighborhood, there is a new and noisy subway extension being built along East 14 st and the shut down of the L line. "Choosing" to live in NYC, now the newest mantra, is a fabrication when the talk is of ST and PCV, which was traditionally quiet, with no construction noise.

Though money was always important, it is now more important than ever. Money rules many things, as you will find.

At this point, 30 years into living here and seeing many things, I can state that Management and their reps are BS-ing us. I can't say that loudly enough: We are being BS-ed. I don't see any genuine change, though the "selling" of this place is intense. Few of the "rules" will be enforced, as Management doesn't want to lose customers or potential customers. Where personal integrity is a hallmark of an excellent management style, this integrity is not seen in enforcing some of the rules.

Our Tenants Association is, basically, null and void. Oh, it is still around, but it lacks the will power to confront much of anything. The TA will ask for your dues, however. By now, the TA is a charade.

About those "club cars" we see going this way and that way, and outside of Stuy Town or Peter Cooper Village:

It's War

Joy Ride Truck back again and now at the southern end of the central Oval area where the Farmer's Market resides on Sunday. So the truck is actually ON the Oval. (Perhaps they are looking for that electrical outlet that will make them stop their Hum from Hell and continual exhaust refuse. If you are a jogger running past the truck, don't inhale until they turn their motor off.) You can contact Joy Ride here and/or write a review of what you think of Joy Ride on Yelp.

Oh, if you don't want to be used for Rose Associates' publicity, don't go to the Oval later because Rose will be filming! ALL DAY!

I'm thoroughly disgusted with what's happening here in Stuyvesant and with Rose Associates and the bullshit that's coming from them, as they try to SELL, SELL, SELL the apartments here to the detriment of the complex. Rose Associates now officially enters my book as the true inheritors of Tishman Speyer's presence here. And that's not a compliment.

I can hear that fucking crap card all the way over on 14th when I don't have my air conditioner on! It's outrageous what Ross A$$ is doing to the place. The only difference between Adam Rose and Rob $peyer is that Rose isn't so fucking plug ugly!

Rose is playing us, bullshitting us with lip service and then doing exactly what he feels like doing. Did Rose have anyone there to show the truck folk where to hook up? There is no regard for quality of life. Rose is just more Speyer and lazy yogurt lovers are just selfish transients passing thru. Choke on your fuckin' dumpling, asshats. You too, Adam.

Last I left, which may have been 12:30pm or so, that Joy Ride Truck had not found the electrical outlet, if they were looking for it, so the Hum from Hell was still going on.

I took my own advice and left ST after that, so I have no way of knowing if thousands showed up for today's event. Though when I left, there were a considerable number of sunbathers on the grass, who shouldn't be counted.

What are they filming? More propaganda videos of events to show on the new monitor in the leasing office? Make sure they get shots of the people on the oval slamming their windows shut.

Carnival acts and food trucks humming -- the soundtrack of our lives.

To the first poster:
It's true. No one's as physically ugly as boy wonder but Rose's actions make him equally ugly. And Robbie only has one face.

They are filming people moving out in record numbers.

I agree with 10:29 pm. At least we knew that Robbie was evil all the way through to the ugly bone. Rose seems to vacillate between good and evil!

Did anyone read the Rose fluff piece in T&V this week? Superb reporting Sabina! Tell one side of the story much?

The best part was when all parties involved glossed right over the fact that if it wasn't for Lux Living constantly keeping these topics front and center no one would care and it would continue to happen.

Although I'm not a Sabina fan, maybe we have to consider which face Adam was talking out of. Yes! A big thank you to Lux Living. STR too. And a one-finger salute to Adam Speyer.
